I have ate here for years but recently found the customer service is way pass terrible. I ordered through door dash for the 2rd time. My order was over 60 bucks. The price wasn't the issue. The issue is twice they have given my order to the wrong person twice. On the door dash app it showed it was picked up but when I called why not pizza the person was so rude. I only asked where my order was. The lady was like it's not our problem call door dash. I told her I will but why offer door dash if your having so many problems with thim. And she just hung up. I saw this place driving by and had to stop for lunch because I agree, "Why not pizza". I only had slices but they are the typical NY style, big, floppy, need to fold to eat. The slices took a long time to come out and I'm not sure if that is typical as this is the first time I've ever been there. My suspicion is that they had to make a new pizza for the slices because of how long it took. They use canned, not fresh, mushrooms. That doesn't bother me, but I'm pointing it out as I know some are particular about that. This has to be a a joke, A slice the works pizza and this is what I got. As you can tell from the pic, it's a slice of already made pepperoni pizza and they threw a punch of the works toppings on top with some weird cheese stuff and called it a day. I was expecting all of the items to be baked together... not added later. The vegetable are crunchy and all of the toppings slide of when I pick the pizza up. This is a sad excuse for pizza. Today was my first visit to Why Not Pizza. I did not have any issues as I gave my order. The cashier was friendly and helpful. As I sat down to wait for my order, there was a customer who became irate due to feeling as if his order was taking too long. He continued to pace back and forth and threatened to get his money back. Although the customer was being very rude, the cashier did not let this upset him. He continued to be professional and courteous. After about 10 minutes or so, my order was ready and it was piping hot. Let me tell you, the taste was amazing. If I had to wait longer for this pizza, it would have been worth it. This place has the best NY style pizza in Charlotte!! The pizza is super cheesy and great down to the last bite. They also have amazing honey BBQ wings. When I arrived they said that my pizza had been picked up. I told them that I didn't pick the pizza up and the cashier made a rude comment saying "the pizza would have been cold anyways". Instead they gave me another customers pizza and seemed to not care that they sold my pizza to someone else. I've never dealt with such rude customer service. This is an independent locally owned small business in my neighborhood. A friend of mine from NY highly recommended it as being close to the NY pizza she grew up with. Since I haven't been to NYC enough times to critique the pizza, I'm taking her word for it and after driving by the place on my way to the grocery store in that shopping center I finally stopped in based on her recommendation. Weird thing is that once I went in and saw they had cheesesteaks on the menu that's what I always order so I still can't tell you about their pizza. Based on neighborhood reviews on the Nextdoor app everyone else is in agreement that they have great pizza and other Italian menu items. The service is always great and the staff is friendly. I also like that they give back to the neighborhood in various ways and that counts a lot in my opinion. The cannoli was crispy and over stuffed with a little powdered sugar on top. 10 out of 10. The facility was clean and the people were friendly and they obviously knew what they were doing in the kitchen. There is plenty of parking and seating. The wall decor has a theme but the furniture is low grade. They also have homemade (branded) ice cream but not vanilla, why? I decided to give free range to my dining companions to choose toppings. We ended up with entirely too many for this thin crust pizza to handle (counting them now, I can recall at least 8). I'd like to go back and give it another try with 2-4 toppings and see how I feel about it. We also tried the jalapeño poppers - I do not recommend them. Too much breading and bland (tasted like they came frozen from a bag). So, WHY am giving them 4 stars? FIRST, chicken wings!!! If anything I'll be back for them. I know it's a pizza place, but I had the chicken parmigiana and kids spaghetti bland everything and the chicken was just breaded chicken tenders that we're soggy and taste freezer burned. It took some work to get down but I was raised to never throw food out so I managed to eat enough to where I wouldn't feel guilt about sharing the leftovers with Oscar aka the trash can. I will not be trying the pizza cause if they can't do pasta right I have little hope they can make a decent pie. They can't even make proper garlic knots, they looked more like pilsbury crescent rolls and really hard to chew. My favorite pizza place in Charlotte! I always get the white pizza and my fiancé likes their "works" pizza. We've also tried their pasta dishes as well, the portions on those are huge! The prices are very reasonable and the people that work here are super friendly. Wait time is usually a little longer than what they quote, but that's not a big deal, I'd rather be getting my pizza right when it's coming out of the oven than have it sitting and waiting for me to get there. I can't say enough good things about this gem of a pizza place. I've been going here for years now and never had a bad experience. The pizza is the closest I've been able to find to NY pizza, the wings are always great, and the garlic cheese bread is to die for.
