It's got a slight bitterness on the backend, but the rich maltiness more than makes up for it. Honestly, it's almost rich enough to qualify as a stout. Service was super-friendly, the spot is small inside but they use the space well with a decent size bar, picnic tables, some high tops, and still some room for a foosball table. I sat outside on an awesome fall day. Parking challenges aside (and it's a serious challenge, although there is a small pay lot across the street), this is a great spot for a beer when visiting campus.
