My family and I went this past Sunday and had a pleasant experience. On the outside you wouldn't expect such a gem inside. It is elegant inside with attentive wait staff. The menu has many options. We enjoyed two of the specials which included a salmon and venison dish each paired with a wonderful mixed vegetable side. We also had a vegan diner who enjoyed their chef created meal. The fish was by far the favorite of the table it was flaky and the most moist delicately prepared salmon I have had so far. The only let down was dessert. We had the cherry cobbler crisp dish which was lacking flavor and dimensions especially for us who love dessert but this is something we can overlook to enjoy a good dinner. read more

My wife and I found this place on Yelp, and based on its ratings, went by to have lunch. The outside looks like an old drive-in joint; the inside is a bit better, but not upscale by any means. However, when you look at the menu, and then try some dishes, this place is an absolute gem! My wife had a beet salad, and I a garlic fondue, both were wonderful. Then we both had the caldo de porko (a port stew) that was as good as any we have ever had. We took 2/3 of the caldo home for dinner so we wouldn't miss a drop! We'll be going back. read more

We drove by this place for ages wondering what in the heck was going on at Wild Garlic Grill. Some pretty delicious food and okay service is what is going on in there. It's a higher end restaurant that is unassuming from the outside, but pretty great on the inside. The price point is a little higher than I would have liked. That may have come from the so-so service... I will go again, but I don't eagerly point people in the direction of Wild Garlic. read more

This a trendy spot in Tucson. First impression was a very loud, cramped space. That did not change during the evening. It was difficult to have a conversation with dinner mates and was almost impossible to hear the waiter. It was so loud our ears were ringing by the time we left. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The wait staff was knowledgable, but less than attentive. Large lag time between visits and courses. As wonderful as the food was, I would not return. A meal like that should be enjoyed with good conversation and that just can't be done in that environment . read more

Went on Friday night. Sea bass on risotto was good. Chipotle pork, not so good. Waitstaff seemed to be spread too thin. Forgot our forks and it was awhile before we could get utensils, waited a long time to get check after eating, for examples, even though our server was obviously working hard. Music was loud and table conversation was reduced to charades. I'm glad I tried it, some things good. read more

I travel all over North America. This is a fabulous find. It's a made over A&W root bear stand. The drive in is now screened in, just fine for Tucson. It also has an inside area. The food and presentation is divine, and over the top tasty. The chef we know from other locations, but this place allows him creativity and lower overhead. We will eat here often. read more

We went here for the first time on Mother's Day. We made reservations for 7 of us at noon and we were promptly seated out in the covered patio. Our waitress immediately engaged us in conversation and was very attentive! AMBER is by far one of the best waitresses I have experienced in Tucson!! My personal pet peeve is when the wait staff does not know the wine list - she was ON IT!! I'm so impressed!! The food was beyond delicious and the presentation was spectacular!! I was also impressed with the fact we could order off of their regular menu on Mother's Day and they didn't charge us an arm and a leg!! This by far is my new favorite restaurant!! Went to WWG last night. First time in new location. Enjoyed food and service in old location. Last night's experience total disaster. Waited for while to be seated even though reservations made four days earlier. Seated at outside patio without being asked if that was ok. Quite chilly. One overhead heater. When offered a second heater, staff discovered it was out of fuel. Waited 15 minutes for drinks to be delivered. Needed to call waiter to place order. When drinks came my wife was brought a cocktail instead of glass of wine she had ordered. Asked to move inside. New table has no forks and needed to ask twice to get forks. My salad came and had blue cheese crumbles but no dressing. Had to request dressing. We asked to speak to manager. No one available. After an hour our food came. Ribs were ok but not great. We spoke to manager and she stated they are still working things out since relocation. She said she couldn't comp any meals. Offered dessert. We declined since our experience had gone from bad to worse. Simply finish meal and leave. They comped the fondue appetizer on a $125 bill. Said they comped my wife's wine which she never got. Sometimes best to stay where you are as a restaraunt rather try to expand beyond your stafffing, management and service. read more

Went in on a Thursday evening. The place was packed so I sat at the bar. I had the salmon and a signature cocktail. The kitchen is open so you can watch the chef prepare the food. The lamb shank looked great and so did the sea bass. I plan on going back for the seafood stew it looked great. The prices are very good as well for the taste, quality and portions. read more

This was our second visit. First time I had. Sea Bass and it was wonderful. Our waitress was super nice, we'll informed about the menu, and the service was great. This time the service and our waitress was a bit "Spacey". She seemed overtaxed and forgetful, even though it was a Wed. Night and not crowded, and the large table next to us was attended by another server. Said she was bringing us all a complementary cup of their new soup to try. Never arrived. Nor did the water we asked for. I asked if the pasta on the Bolognese dish was home made. Assured me it was. Obviously it was not and tasted straight from a box. The Bolognese was basically flavorless, needed spices, and there was about 3 lbs on the plate. Would have much preferred quality over quantity, and ate only about a quarter of it before giving up. To be fair the three others in our party loved their entrees. The beet salad we shared was very good and my wife's salmon was great. Out friends meals, ribs and salmon, were pronounced excellent. So, I apparently I made a bad choice based on some bad advice. Probably should have gone with the seafood stew. I will return, but this place would benefit greatly from a more knowledgeable and consistent wait staff AND few good beers on tap ( please, no Peroni or Moretti !) read more

All I can say is WOW!! Amazing, gourmet food that is reasonably priced and super delicious. I took my husband here for his birthday, and it is our new favorite restaurant! We started off with the mussels for our appetizers and the sauce they came in was so good, we had more bread brought to us so we could finish it off. I ordered the Salmon special which had so much flavor, and my husband ordered the lunch special chicken linguini which he really enjoyed. Their sangria is fantastic! You will pay about the same or even more for some chain restaurant food that was heated from a bag and served to you. This restaurant is the real deal! Hands down best seafood I've had in Tucson. We started with garlic shrimp served with warm Brie and I couldn't even begin to describe how incredible it was. I had the stuffed salmon and it was equally amazing. I can't wait to go back and try the garlic fries. Lastly we had the flourless chocolate torte, which although was delicious was very rich. The portions for the entrees were on the large size (thank god) so the torte was perfect to split. I also had the red sangria and oh my was I pleased.
