The sushi is not that great there. It didn't taste freshly made and they didn't allow anyone to sit at the sushi bar, so my guess is they had some prepared from earlier. They did have a decent kids menu so that is why they get the 3 stars; otherwise don't come here for sushi. Maybe try a cooked meal they have on their menu. read more

Our first visit and I must say that I did like it a lot! We passed by it a few weeks ago and since I was off my husband and I decided to try it . There are not very many Chinese restaurants that is not a buffet or just take out. It was nice to sit down and be served. I had the mango shrimp and it was very delicious! Nice sweet mango with a hint of heat and the jasmine rice was delicious. It came with soup or salad and it was $14. The portions were HUGE! My husband ordered the dragon and Phoenix.. which was half General Tso and half shrimp with veggies in a cream sauce. HE LOVED IT! Not quite, but you might be more aware that you are eating a raw fish than you would be at other sushi places. I enjoy my regular order of an Alaskan roll (thankful they have this one!), and my husband has tried various others. We have enjoyed them all. The prices are decent, in general. However, the sushi rolls were smaller than expected, which is disappointing. We have also tried nigiri. I ordered 4 sides of sushi rice for a last minute addition for extra guests, to go. I was charged $3 per. What I received was less than a handful of rice, so I asked if the amount was correct. The last said, "Oh, he doesn't know how much I charged you for the rice." Had she overcharged me? She went back and told him, so the sushi chef provided one more handful of rice, as seen in the photos. Then two women laughed at me and said "That's how much we give." I had been watching this place pre-construction as I shop near by. Arrived at Wild Ginger Asian Bistro on the evening of their soft opening, I was bummed out. I had a hankering for some Asian food. Well didn't have the opportunity to return for about 30 days, why did it take me so long!! This place is great, we had lunch, selection was very good, and prices were reasonable. Checked out the dinner menu, which has more of a selection and prices were a few bucks higher. I had Spring rolls (4) and General Tso's Wild Ginger Crispy chicken with a choice of soup or salad. I took the soup. My Lady had sushi of avocado and California rolls along with salad. The only hiccup was the salad dressing honey mustard or ginger? We assumed ginger so it was not very good. This is the second time we have been at this restaurant and had to bring food home to cook properly! I threw away the dry shrimp and called to complain the owner said no problem she will give us credit for the meal. This place has the BEST food! The lunch specials are great priced. We got the chicken potstickers and hibachi grill with steak. The potstickers were the best I've ever had! Had the occasion to hit this place for lunch a few times. Very impressed. Decor is minimal but nice. Space was clean and our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. This time I went with the sashimi lunch special. My lunch companion has the pad Thai. I started out with the salad with Ginger dressing. This was passable, a bit watery. The sushi was very good. Slices of fish were well portioned and fresh. Didn't try it but was told the pad Thai was very good as well. Definitely a place I look forward to returning to. Back once again for our weekly visit. It's like going to a friends house for weekly dinners. We are always greyed with a smile and feel at home. The free small saki for Yelp check in was an awesome bonus. Best Flavored hot saki, definitely worth trying, I love the Pomegranate flavor but all are good. We don't really have a favorite server because they are all prompt, efficient and attentive. Music and ambiance are upbeat but relaxing and with the perfect lighting. The dinning area offers several different seating options from booths to bistro high top and a bar with or without sushi views. So glad to see they decided to go away from the black cloth napkins to a blend of paper and finer blend but more absorbent than the previous formal napkins. Smart move! Thank you! The happy hour menu offers several options for those who choose to be practical but love great sushi! I recommend the GMC highly! The Super Crunch is an awesome filling roll as well! We have been here several times for sushi and we think it is the best around. Believe me, I have been to just about every sushi place around that doesn't smell like fish when I walk in. Their Out of Control roll is most excellent, and fired at the last minute for an awesome smokey flavor. We have also had the General Tso's entree and it is also some of the best we have tasted. The service is very attentive, with the hostess remembering us each time, and seating us where I like to sit. It sounds like a small thing, but it is important to me. We usually go for sushi on Sat or Sun morning, around 11:00. Here we have never been fed last nights old nasty, leathery sushi that they couldn't sell the night before. This has been an on-going problem with other sushi places. The rolls are expensive at $14.00 for their specialty rolls. They have a half off sushi special on Mondays as well as happy hour with several rolls at $5.00 and half price sake. They also have an excellent lunch special menu. Be sure to order an app as it takes a little while for them to create their masterpieces, but worth the wait. read more

It came with the House Soup, but it didn't taste like normal Asian restaurants' house soup... it was like they put soy sauce into it. It was salty and tasted interesting, I wouldn't get it again. Big portions. Quality ingredients. Great flavors. Their house salads are a little sad because they are made with iceberg lettuce but everything else is amazing!! Highly recommend. My mom usually isn't the biggest fan of Asian food because some places don't use the best cut of meat but Wild Ginger uses all chicken breast which she prefers!
