    Hibachi Tofu
    Sooz H.

I found this restaurant on the Happy Cow app, looking for a vegan options restaurant while we travel. We are thrilled we came here! Tofu is an option with almost every dish. My husband got Singapore noodles with shrimp (his go to all the time) and said it was the best he's ever had. A tad bit spicy, not overseasoned and cooked perfectly. I had Hibachi tofu with white rice. Just the right amount of sauce, vegetables firm, tofu cooked perfectly. Finally, our service was AMAZING! Our server knew the cooking methods and helped me decide the best dish for my preferences. She was on top of everything we needed, before we knew we needed it. Happy hour beers are $3.50 and our edamame and and spring rolls wete $5 each. The ambience is very nice. You can dress up or go in after mowing the lawn and it is very comfortable. We are travelling and I wish we could eat here every week!

My family and I absolutely love Wild Ginger! It's hands down some of the best Asian cuisine in Charleston. The staff is always friendly, the restaurant is impeccably clean, and the prices are very reasonable. Every dish we've tried has been delicious. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere!

What I couldn't eat and not worth taking home!

This place has a good atmosphere and friendly prompt staff. However the sushi is less than desirable. I have eaten sushi in many places across the USA and this place should not be serving it!

    Good luck cat statue.

We brought our daughter here to celebrate her recent college graduation cum laude. All of our food was excellent and reasonably fast. Our daughter has many food allergies and carries an EpiPen. All of her concerns were addressed and issue foods were avoided. Our daughter took Japanese language in college every year it was offered and orders food like a pro. We all enjoyed sharing a small hot sake along with our dinners. The art work is traditional and minimalist. The good luck cat statues attracted our attention along with the large fish in the aquarium. Our waitress was polite and gave exceptional service. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but very good and served in decent quantities.

The food is okay. If you're going to come here get the hibachi bowl. THERE ARE COCKROACHES IN HERE!! Do not come here if you don't want to see a cockroach or two.

This place is awesome and clean with chill music ! I am a big fan of sushi, and found this place accidentally. I ordered American Dream Roll which is amazing. The service here is pretty good, servers here are enthusiastic! I will come back again.

Always good as it is. I've been eating here since they are opened. My top favorite restaurant in Summerville!

Fairly slow service and a little pricey but the portion size was pretty good. The shrimp hibachi was great and the kids meals were pretty legit. I'd order one! The restaurant had plenty of seating and was good for larger parties.

Walnut Shrimp for hubby. Sharing a Mongolian Beef and red curry shrimp for me.

I recommend making a reservation. We did not but Ms. Myles graciously accommodated our table for 2. A few hours prior we checked and reservations were wide open, but by the time we got there, they were pretty booked. The staff is wonderful and the food is made with care. Simply delicious! We began with a cup of their clear broth that was light and flavorful and cleansed our palettes for the grilled meats to come. At the suggestion of Ms. Myles, we had the Crispy Pork for an appetizer. Nice and crisp pieces of pork whose fat was properly rendered back into the meat. A lot of places miss this important step. It was served with a luscious white sauce and lightly vinegared hot sauce. Then we went right into their specialty- Yakitori We had one of each of the following: Momo- chicken Thigh Chicken Tenderloin with Yuzu Honey Glaze Australian Wagyu Beef- they offer American Wagyu, and A5 Japanese Kobe as well Bacon Wrapped Crab- high quality Crab stick wrapped in bacon..this was a standout for me. So rich and full of Umami Ribeye We finished the meal off with a plate of Beef Yaki-Udon. The depth of flavor was incredible and again the Umami took center stage. Interesting fact: They have been at this location for 31 years opening first as an Italian restaurant! Myles has been in Charleston for 40 years and is an icon in the Food and Bev industry. She was most recently recognized by Congress for her impact on the Charleston food scene. We were greeted with a smile and left with a hug. The service was friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable. We started with Fresh Basil rolls and two slightly different yet excellent Spring Rolls and Peanut Sauce that we both loved. The rolls were done extremely tight with a beautiful whole basil leaf in each, (see picture). I ordered and really enjoyed the Pad Kee Mow. Be forewarned, there are 5 level of heat for this dish, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot and Thai Hot. I love hot spicy food, but based on a previous review stuck with the middle level heat of regular Hot, and this was boarder line too spicy for me. The wife ordered Drunken Noodles with Thai Spaghetti. She really loved the flavor of the broth, but thought the dish would be so much better with wide noodles and not Thai Spaghetti. She thought the thinness of the sauce needed a large noodle to soak of the broth. Either that or the sauce itself needed to be a bit thicker. Over all a very good meal that we look forward in sharing with the daughter on our next visit.

It is enclosed and air conditioned and the tables are spaced out much more than on the inside. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and on point bringing their offerings. We started what would become our favorite dish of the night Scallops on the half shell. At first, you may balk at the price but believe me worth every penny. They were $26 at the time of this review but they are topped with two kinds of caviar. It was one of those dishes that after one bite you lean back and savor the flavors. The casino butter, sake and chili garlic will make your taste buds dance. I tried the chili garlic shrimp and gnocchi, and it was so good my wife threatened to steal it. Pillowy soft gnocchi in a rich, decadent sauce with hints of heat was outstanding. It is listed as a small plate, but I found the portion size quite filling. My wife had the oyster roll which was more like a po' boy not a sushi roll. We have had other oyster rolls, and they sometimes disappoint but not this one. Some restaurants just put a few oysters on the top of the bun and that's it, but this roll had oysters all throughout. It came with house made pickles and a single fried oyster on the side as a warmup. I highly recommend it. For dessert we shared a key lime pie semifreddo which was so pretty I almost felt bad for eating it. It was topped with a graham cracker crumble and both raspberry and lime curds. The texture reminding me of ice cream and was not overly tart with a nice hint of key lime. The torched flowers of meringue were really a great touch. The best word we both agreed on was "satisfying" and would definitely come back again!
