Searching for a great fish taco in Fort Worth is a challenge but found this place for dinner, mostly because of their happy hour specials. They have great happy hour drinks and their food was, for the most part, superb. The chips and salsa for table were amazing and they are the only place I've ever been that serve a green 'salsa' with their chips. So good. For my main, I ordered three tacos - daily fish, shrimp and chicken. Strangely enough, the chicken was my least favorite. The fish was catfish (grilled) and it was excellent, which is a very high bar for me. The shrimp taco was fantastic too as the shrimp was perfectly breaded and fried. Even the rice (a cilantro rice) and beans were great. All in all, I'd totally return next time I'm in Fort Worth. And don't forget, when you leave, grab a frozen treat for the road. My husband and I ordered a pitcher of traditional margs and we both felt like we were drinking nothing but sweet and sour mix. The pitcher was so full of ice as well. He got the shrimp and bacon quesadillas and I got the "niña" fajitas (steak and gulf shrimp). Weakest, skinniest quesadillas I've ever had. I think they may have smashed the shrimp to make them as thin as possible. The beef fajitas were dry and over cooked and the shrimp was small. Our sever was great so no complaints there. Decor and atmosphere in this place is worthy of a five start rating, our server was James and he was worthy of 5 stars. He was friendly, since this was our first visit to the restaurant he was engaging and explained menu items to us. Also since this was our first time in Fort Worth he made sure to suggest places for us to visit. Now the food was not quite worthy of a five start eating. Some of our dishes lacked flavor...the rice was a dish we ended up passing on, the black beans we ended up having a double order. This place was not great by any standard. The drinks were terrible, spent a lot of money on alcohol when there was hardly any in our drinks. When we complained to the staff they basically told us the more expensive drinks were better... Food was just okay. Service was not good and there were hardly any people even in the restaurant. Awesome, awesome, awesome! Service was spot-on, food was great, beer was ice cold and the house margaritas use 100% agave tequila! Fresh chips and salsa were on point and we got the Queso Fundido and Guacamole Sampler for table shared appetizers - really good. We all ordered the "Wild Tacos" which lets you choose 3 different tacos from their menu. We each ordered different tacos and everything was super tasty! I've been wanting to try this place and I have to say it definitely did not live up to the hype. The service was fine, the salsa was amazing, the margaritas were EXTREMELY overpriced and definitely not worth $11-$13 (we tried the Blood Orange, the Wild Rita and the Prickly Pear), the food (we got nachos and chicken rellano was ridiculously expensive and completely underwhelming in flavor. My suggestion? Go to chimys or chuys right down the road and get way more flavor and bang for your buck read more

I found the atmosphere very nice, the menu thorough​, green sauce with chips very tasty, portions fine, the segment of the bar that is on the patio a nice touch, the patio area is really nice......The food we ordered was tasty. Here are the things that need help. 1) the ceramic square dishes with food to complement your meal are too small for the fork...Either resize them or provide a spoon. 2) the sangria (and we've been going to Spain for +30yrs) was probably the most bland Sangria we've ever drank. For $25/pitcher....It got you 3 stars. Good tasting drinks are for complimenting the meal, and often cost more than individual plates. Bartender could use a little cultural class. read more

This place is quite the hidden gem! Super cool vibe with great food and yummy drinks. I had the lamb shank barbacoa, which was to die for, and the prickliest pear margarita is very pink but not too sweet or too tart. Wait staff is awesome, as well! Our server Megan was quick and attentive and the manager came over to make sure everything was tasting good and to see if we needed anything. Our little family decided to eat here because of the good reviews. We are also foodies and love to try o new restaurants. My husband ordered the chicken tortilla soup and had to send it back because it was bitter. I ordered the shrimp cocktail to give to my son thinking that the shrimp would be on the outside and the sauce would be inside the cup. I was wrong and it was all mixed together which would've been ok except it was too spicy for me to eat so I could not give it to my son. For myself I ordered the cheese enchiladas. I have been ordering cheese enchiladas regularly lately at Mexican restaurants since I'm starting not to crave meat. They were just ok. Like edible but also strange. I ate one and could not bring myself to eat the second one. My husband ended up ordering the steak tacos. He said they were ok but the steak was coated in something super spicy so he had to smother it with guacamole to eat it. The guacamole was really good and probably the best thing we ordered. Last Friday night we were seated next to a large party that was extremely loud and using lots of profanity including the "F" word. I complained to the manager and he said there was nothing he could do! He allowed the profanity and never asked them to bring the volume down. We were also a party of 8 and could not hear each other. You have to look to find it, tucked away in a courtyard near Chop House Burger, but you will find a treasure! Authentic Mexican cuisine, extensive menu and tequila selections! If I could give less than one star I would. I don't even have the words to explain how terrible service was at every level. We were there for a birthday party (group of 20) and we were the ONLY people in the restaurant... we weren't getting the drinks we ordered, the waiter had a crap attitude and the waitress didn't know her head from her ass. Once the food came out we were asked 3 times if something that wasn't even on the menu was ordered, eventually we just took it so she would stop asking who's it was. After we ate, we wanted cake and the waiter/waitress were no where to be found... no plates cleared and embarrassingly someone in our party had to get up and start clearing the table. Then come the CHECKS it took an hour, just a REMINDER that we were the only people in the restaurant. They had the AUDACITY to charge everyone a 22% gratuity, after they ruined our night. Hands down best Mexican food I have had in years. Jalapeño infused marg with avocado, what?! Why has it taken 43 years of life for me to experience this?? And the pescado taco, say no more: divine. Was treated so rude by the hostess as she gave our table away and waited over 20 mins and we had a reservation. we had made told us they couldn't make a cheese quesadilla... salads come with only lettuce... no dressing ... we even spoke with the manager and he didn't seem to care. waiter was kind but took 20 mins to spilt checks... tortilla soup came out BRIGHT GREEN AND SMELT LIKE FISH!!! EWWWWW ! came for a birthday dinner and will NOT being coming back. paid over $30 for a salad with only spinach and two shrimps and a small marg with very little tequila ... came with a big group for a birthday and no birthday treat was given... would not recommend to anyone read more

Went here with my wife on a Saturday night because everything else in the downtown had an hour and a half wait. Around 9:00 pm we were immediately seated. The atmosphere is really nice and we had a good time together. The prices were a little on the high side for us, but probably about right for a downtown restaurant. The food wasn't the best, but we like more traditional dishes. However, the waiter was very accommodating for all of our requested alterations. We would probably not frequent this restaurant again just because of the style of the food and the price, but it would be a nice place to hang out for drinks with friends. read more

The atmosphere is nice, I will give them that, but when it comes to price, quality and selection, this gets a "meh" from me. First of all, it's Mexican food which is one of the least expensive types of food to prepare, yet you can expect that your bill will be around $42.00 for an entree and two beers on Happy Hour. The biggest ding this restaurant gets from me is that there is virtually NOTHING you can get if you live a low-carb lifestyle. Even menu items that I can modify elsewhere weren't able to be here because of a "potato-jalapeno-onion" blend they put in virtually everything on the menu. Also, light margaritas are on the menu, not on happy hour though. I would urge this restaurant to think about people who must eat differently; whether that be a result of celiac disease, diabetes, gluten intolerance or just a desire to live a ketogenic lifestyle. read more

Wild Salsa is a great new addition to Downtown Fort Worth. We needed a brand new Mexican place for a change of pace! The food is great, best enchilada I have ever had. The nachos are also delicious and of course so is the salsa. I recommend also getting one of their signature margaritas. The chips are a little weak though, they break easily but are light tasting. Stopped by for lunch with several coworkers including a vegetarian. I got tacos (one of each, steak, pork, chicken) and cilantro rice, coworkers got soup, fajitas, enchiladas and more tacos. Steak taco was very spicy, but great. Hot steak and cold onions and molcajete salsa on a fresh shell. Terrific, but I should have had it last as it was definitely hotter than the other two. Chicken Tinga with pico de gallo was amazing. Next time I'm just ordering everything on the menu that says "chicken tinga" on it. Al Pastor had no flavor for me, but from the way a coworker raved about it I suspect the steak and tinga overloaded my taste buds. I should have eaten it first. Great lunch. read more
