Wonderful beer selection, tasty and creative pizza menu and a great atmosphere. The pizzas come in a small or large, the small being enough for 2, and the large for 3-4. They have a very creative pizza menu as well as a create your own option. They have a couple of different special pizzas that they change up, I think one of them is even a charity option. They have a gluten free option as well, but they charge you a few extra bucks for that and it only comes in the small, as if your condition wasn't bad enough. Went on a friend's recommendation and I'm glad we did! Took an evening stroll to Wild Tomato, put our names on the list and waited ~15 minutes for a table for 2. Ordered drinks while we waited - the drink menu was very unique and extensive! For example, my boyfriend enjoyed a bottle of Mikkeller's Hop Series Citra (which he was unable to find in Madison). Ordered the Petite Cherry Walnut Salad and the Donation Creation pizza - a Southwestern style pie with chorizo, peppers, corn, chihuahua cheese, etc. The salad was a delightful combination of flavors and the goat cheese was so fresh and fluffy. The pizza was tasty, but the bland crust could use some work. We'll be back! read more

Yummy pizza and salads at this place, which is located directly across from Peninsula State Park. Hubby and I split the Asian Pizza and my parents split a more traditional cheese. Both were yummy. We also ordered a large salad for the table -- fresh and delicious, plus they make their own dressings. Service was terrific -- and they even brought our 1 year old some pizza dough to play with (which he ended up eating). Good options for kids -- our baby had a peanut butter and jelly pizza that was really good -- and big enough that several kids could share it. Why am I only giving it 4 stars? The outdoor seating is nice, but you are sitting in a parking lot. And, while it has nothing to do with the good, the restrooms are pretty gnarly. Visited Wild Tomato (former Digger's) this past weekend. Great decor and atmosphere. It also appears like they have a better than average beer selection, looking at the bottles displayed on the wall. Started off with a family salad and the greens were great. The basalmic dressing was some of the best I've had. Ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and was more than impressed. Didn't think it was possible to find good pizza in Door County but I was wrong. The kids also ordered pizza, ate the entire thing nad wanted more. We're in DC often in the spring/summer/fall and will definately come back for that. Two of the people I came with ordered a salmon (I believe - it was some sort of fish) and chicken sandwich. Both looked amazing. 15-20 minutes after we left, my wife stated she wasn't feeling too great. My brother-in-law started making the same claim. After cleaning the system everyone was fine an hour later. We started piecing two and two together and we figured out the one thing they both had on their sandwich was the pesto. We're guessing that was the issue... In summary, we will be back Wild Tomato for the pizza. read more

What a great place for pizza. They have a great selection of specialty pizzas that are different from the normal pepperoni or sausage but are great. We had half Green and Gold (chicken, spinach, broccoli, basil) and half BBQ Pork (BBQ, Pork, Pineapple) and both flavors were excellent. All the pizzas are baked in their woodfire oven which, in my opinion, is the absolute best way to bake a pie. They also have one of the best bottled beer selections in the area. They have probably 50+ varieties from all over the US and Europe. Their tap selection isn't quite as good but there were some interesting choices there too. If you are looking for a place to eat a great, casual dinner in Fish Creek this has to be considered. Plus, it's right across the street from Not Licked Yet for dessert! read more

We camped across the road at Peninsula State Park and stopped here for lunch. It was like an oven inside the restaurant, but luckily they have outdoor seating! We ordered a pizza, it was good but could have been browned a little more. Our waiter was awesome and recommended some great beers and ciders. Their selection of beers and other drinks is amazing! Prices for food are a little high, but I think that is true for most Door County places. It was worth it, and we would certainly go back! read more

The BBQ is a great pizza....... If you don't mind waiting over 45 minutes for carry out and spending 20 dollars for a 12 inch pie. I saw some people eating their carry out pizza at benches in the back. I guess they waited long enough and needed to eat their pie. read more

Pizzas here are really amazing. Had their fun guy & cheese pizza. Tried their hibiscus liqueur lemonade which was refreshing after a long day! Didn't expect a 1 HR plus wait for a table and a 30 mins plus wait for food after our order. They do have a take out section as well but the wait time for the food was 45 mins for us. We didn't have to wait for a table on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, plus the staff was super friendly. They let us take our two big dogs to our table. Four of us shared the large veggie pizza which was a ton of food. The crust was fantastic and there were lots of veggies and goat cheese. It was a great pizza. My wife and I went here as a couple after a day of sightseeing in Door County. The reviews looked good so we thought we'd give it a try. We had a bit of a wait since we wanted to eat inside and there is more outside seating than inside. We were greeted by a pleasant waiter. We ordered the garden salad and split it. Plenty for two and it was excellent! We ordered a "build your own" wood fired pizza. The 12" small was plenty for two of us and was amazing! The sauce, sausage, and crust were particularly tasty. We went there with a party of four on a Tuesday night. It was quite busy but there is a walk up bar that you can order drinks and appetizers from. I had heard mixed review on this restaurant, so while up wine tasting I decided to finally try it out. First impression was WOW this place is tiny. For how popular it is, it was very limited seating inside. I feel like they should look to expand to shorten their wait times. We had to wait about 30 minutes for the 4 of us to get seated and while we waited we had to sit in a narrow entry way right next to the door. It was very cold every time people came in our out. Really no room for anyone else other than our group to wait. It's just not a good set up there. I understand in the summer there is outdoor seating but for winter time there should be a different setup for guests to wait. Once seated we placed our order quickly, two of us got burgers and the other two pizza. Their prices are what you would expect pricing to be in a tourist place like Fish Creek. My cheeseburger was good, it was a huge 6 oz. patty and a large portion of fries. The pizza my friends got looked phenomenal and I will have to try next time. They got sausage and pesto pizza. Small was plenty for the two of them - even had leftovers. Would give 5 stars if they wait time was not as long and they waiting area had changes made to it. read more

We ordered two pies today, one 3 meat, one half veggie, half green and gold-delish! Good salads. Nice variety of sandwiches, too. Teen3 wasn't in pizza mood and ordered Korean pulled pork. His response when I asked if he liked it -"Insanely good-perfect everything" High praise from this picky kid! Excellent beer and wine list. Attentive service.
