Wow... After at least four nurses at Mercy Hospital recommended this place (I am visiting from out of town...) I had to try it. I heard everyone say "Get the Buddha Bowl, but everything is great there." So I did, and I was sooo not disappointed. Very tasty. I am sure I will be heading back soon to try the falafel. That looks really good as it walked by. Small place, small parking lot, a bit of a line at lunchtime, but it moved quickly. The cops ate there and ordered 1/2 lemonades. What a bummer. I've been frequenting Wildas for at least 3 years but the last two chicken Buddha bowls were not so good. The first one had very dry chicken. Perhaps it had been pre cooked days before? But the last one had chicken that had red ( blood spots) on the pieces. Also, they were rubbery like they'd been microwaved. I picked around the chicken. I won't give up on Wildas but next time I'll go for the tofu rather than chicken. read more

This place makes great food!!! I've been eating their Buddha bowls since '13! The only thing I'm sad about is I've slowly seen their prices rise from 4$ to 7$! Went here for the first time last week. Someone suggested getting the Buddah Bowl. Great suggestion, but next time I'll ask them to hold the beans. Not a big fan of those. Great flavor throughout. Had enough to take some home. Only $6 too. Next time I'll try their pastrami sandwich- that looked really good too. read more

YUM! Great food. I love the felafel and buddah bowl. If I lived closer it could be dangerous as I'd be trying to lunch there every single day. You can't really find food this good anywhere in Redding. And it's affordable!! The only downfall is the lack of parking and eating area but that's to be expected in any downtown. read more

This is one of the best places in Redding for lunch. Everything here tastes fresh and is made to order. I love the hot pastrami sandwich, it's the best I have EVER had. I removed most of the hot peppers as they took away from the delicious flavors of the fresh bread, pastrami and of course, their famous mustard! I also enjoy the Buddha bowl. I had my first experience at Wilda's. The place of business was in a very nice location. The parking was very accessible. It was kind of busy. One line for customers ordering, soda machine on the opposite side of I guess where you pick up your orders? Anyway, I don't know. Customers were kind of running into one another and trying to figure out who was next in line. The customer service was nice. I ordered very promptly but once again, not certain where to stand in order to receive my takeout. The Chicken Buhda bowl was very fresh and delicious. The chicken tasted like unseasoned chunks of bland white meat. Dry, dry, dry. However the brown rice and beans were delicious and were very complimenting with the dressing and the fresh cabbage and cilantro. I would certainly try it again and recommend it to others. My husband had the chilli dog but he was not really a fan of the large sized French roll it came with. It basically swallowed the chilli dog alive he said. I also ordered a soda but either she didn't hear me or I just never got it. I really needed it for that chicken and that big French roll that swallowed the dog. Checked out this place as I passed through Redding and needed a bite for lunch. I ordered the Buddha Bowl with tofu, another member of my party ordered the Buddha Bowl with falafel, and another ordered the Falafel. We got sweet potato/yam fries on the side too. It was certainly more than a bite, as the portions of the Buddha Bowl were very generous! Ate our fill then packed the rest to go (it comes in takeout-style containers so that's extremely simple to do). The utensil given with our meals was this nifty fork-chopstick hybrid (seriously, we were captivated by the little plastic things). The food itself was very good, very tasty. And not to mention vegetarian! (if meat is your thing, they also have several hot dogs) The only thing I'd say would be that I wished the Buddha Bowl was mixed a little, as basically the tofu and rice and beans were all the way at the bottom and I was making my way through cabbage for a while before I saw them. The fries were great, came with a very intriguing sauce (garlic mayo?). Good aesthetic as well, nice murals on the wall. Seating available both inside and outside. All in all, great place with delicious food at a great value, veg-friendly. read more

Ate here today for the first time. I had the falafel which was by far the best I have ever had. The falafel was moist and the flatbread tasted homemade. The yogurt sauce was really good. And it was huge! The place is small, but they have seating around the outside as well. Service was great and food was ready very quick. Being a vegetarian, I was happily surprised they had several options for me. They also have hot dogs and pastrami, roast beef, etc. Oh yeah, forgot... used to love famous daves cheeseburger.the last two months-its like they don't know how to make their own cheeseburgers anymore.dried out,bacon not good,always forget to put the sauce on it.i will never go there again.this last time I told the manager there was no sauce,and he told me,he watched them put it on himself.basically,calling me a liar on top of a sub-par cheeseburger!! we pick up our food,and each time I call and explain the problems (like forgetting there sauce) they keep telling me they are over-seeing the making of my cheeseburger,and when I get it,theres always a problem.i don't need them referring im a liar,or the drama and the disappointment of whats become "Famous daves "mediocre,at best,cheeseburger.i have to give them the biggest thumbs down as a previous patron,as ill never step foot in that place again.boo on you famous daves for the poor food you serve and your manager making me out as a liar.good riddance !!!!!!!!!! read more

Love Wilda's. Feels like a place you'd find in the Bay. The Buddah Bowl is amazing (I'm sure anyone who's had it will say so), and every one of the hot dogs I've tried were amazing as well. Their bigger location is really nice, and makes more sense since the line was always out the door! Only thing I think kept me from giving a 5 star was that no one ever seems to smile, lol. I go in regularly and I've never once seen the girls up front smile at anyone.... doesn't make you feel super welcome. But in all, I think it's a great business, and I'm glad they're here! read more

I had a chili dog, incredible, homemade chili is great on their quality hotdogs. Wife had the falafel sandwich, said it can not be improved. Next time we will try pastrami, and Buddha bowl. Their mustard is made in house too! read more

Love Wilda's grill! Pretty sure the entire town loves it! Only complaint i can have is that sometimes the line gets a little long and I work on the other side of town from it so it takes my whole lunch to go there and back. But the food is definitely worth it and I do it a few times a month. The staff is very friendly! read more
