I LOVED the food, the servers, the owner and the vibe. We came in for a work meeting and the staff was super accommodating. We had a party of 12 but they were so attentive and served amazing food. I personally loved the wontons so much and the fish and chips. Everyone enjoyed the beer and the more traditional meals too. Seriously, we were so impressed! This place the gold mine of Shelton. So exciting! The owner is also so so kind, Not to mention, they allow dogs! Dont worry the doggies stay on the ground haha but its lovely to be able to enjoy the whole family while going out. 10/10 recommend. I think this was the best Irish food I have ever had! read more

Great place, staff is friendly and welcoming, lots of menu choices and all delicious. The Irish Trio had corned beef with cabbage, carrots; shepherd's pie; bangers and mash; great to be able to try 3 dishes, all yummy! We also had fish and chips delicious with lots of choices of dipping sauces. We were stuffed, but the desserts sounded delicious too, especially the warm, fresh baked after you order it cookie with ice cream on top! Will be back to try that one out! This is a real gem located in down town Shelton. They have lots of beers on tap, wine and cocktails. I saw my first shot of whiskey with a pickle juice back being downed while I was there sampling a flight of their delicious beers that are offered on tap. The menu is very diverse. My husband and I shared their Shepherds Pie and started our meal off with lemon drop shrimp and corned beef wontons. Everything was delicious. Fun place for just drinks and great for dinner, too! We've been to the Pub several times since they've opened. The Grandma Francis (a Corned Beef and Rye Sandwich) is fu%$ing amazing, their Corned Beef and Cabbage is comparable to my mother's (the standard I hold all others to) and the "50/50" burger (half beef half corned beef all smashed together) has me drooling on my keyboard as I type (that's a good thing). Their drinks are amazing (Elijah's a maestro behind the bar!). Good shiz. Great addition to town. Needless to say.........we'll be back. read more

First.. Wow! The food is delicious, the staff is awesome and oh.. btw did I mention the food? For those who want to know.. bathrooms are clean and well maintained! I tried an old fashioned for the first time and it was so good that I had two!! The staff are great! Dog Friendly and the place is clean with a great atmosphere. Best spot in Shelton to hang out with the locals! The kitchen staff sent out an appetizer because we had to wait a bit longer! We didn't care because the appetizers we ordered were quick and really delicious! What a great experience! read more

Amazing cocktails. Large beer selection. Really great food. No complaints here! We've been a few times now and it's always enjoyable. The one thing I like and appreciate about Shelton is that in the evenings, the streets are pretty empty. Traffics exceptionally light. Three of us had lunch here on June 12. The interior is well designed. The bar area is separated from the dining tables. The place is well lit and decorated In an open but cozy We three ordered beers, domestics and a Half and Half. The H&H was perfectly poured by the beer tender, all three were well chilled. We had some firsts, the Wilde onion and some corned beef wantons. The onion was similar to one created by a "Down Under" competitor. Wilde's is a bit smaller, but hand cut, far less greasy than the ones favored by the Koala loving eatery. The dipping sauce is perfectly balanced, an intercourse of horse radish and 1000 island dressing. Our mains were corned beef sandwich and a burger. The burger was the best(est) I've had in many years. Served on a pretzel bun, the burger was perfectly cooked,and adorned with cheese and dressed with a masterfully prepared bourbon/ maple sauce. The sauce accentuated the natural flavor of the beef, and wasn't over bearing. The corned beef was an orgasmic experience for the corned beef aficionado. The dark rye was stack high with lean slices of CB. The beer tender was serving both the bar and the eatery, and handled both with professional ease. She was personable, helpful and timely with mid-meal requests. We live close to where the Artesians took advantage of the water to stew the Capital City brew, and the trip to Wilde was well worth the time and effort. In short everything was wonderful. Do yourself a favor, try Wilde, you won't be disappointed. read more

Wonderful food and impeccable service! The building itself has historic value to downtown Shelton and an authentic Irish ambiance!

If you go be prepared to be gouged. I was not asked if I wanted to upgrade my alcohol, I was just charged an extra $8 on top of the $18 charge for a less than ideal Cosmopolitan. I am use to paying a higher price for a really good Cosmo in places like the Waldorf Astoria or Rainbow room in NYC, but not more than NYC prices in Shelton WA. We were not told the garlic fries, which consisted of raw chunks of garlic being dropped on top of the fries where an extra charge. The food was just ok but you will pay a bit less for more and better at the Alderbrook resort in Union WA with a wonderful water view included. I will not be a Wild Irish Pub customer. read more

Friday night before a three day weekend, and our first visit to Wilde Irish Pub. Busy (in a good way) and lively. Our server Nickie was prompt, friendly, and very accommodating. We had our entrees before we drank a quarter of our Guinnesses. My wife had the bangers and mash, while I had the Guinness beef stew. Both were good portions and were delicious. Didn't have room for what sounded like wonderful desserts; Nickie said there was no rush and to take our time if we wanted. Menu is accessed by QR code, and when I had a problem, Nickie was there to help quickly sort it out. Prices weren't cheap, but in line with what I expect to pay for great food. We felt it was a good value and a very satisfying dinner. Highly recommended. We will be back. read more

My wife had the Grandma Fransis (a Ruben with corned beef) with fries. The fries were awful. Five of the twelve menu items have fries. The Wilde Irish Pub is anything but Irish. I came for lunch and it was fairly busy but not slammed. One couple to my left was already seated when I came in. They waited over 45 minutes for their order. I was very disappointed that the atmosphere was no different than any other hometown bar. They were playing blues/jazz music--no Irish music or decor. I came to experience the flavor of a real Irish Pub. If you plan to go for lunch, plan on spending over $50 if there are two of you. There were a few "Irish" foods on the menu but not a lot. I've been to Ireland many times. The owners of this pub should take a trip there and learn a few pointers. read more

First time I visited this restaurant it was by accident, just saw it while I was at the bank thought I'd try it, not disappointed!! I ordered their rib eye steak, med rare, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! It was an inch thick and 14 oz, couldn't eat it all. I posted my comments on FB which was seen by friends living in Ballard. Since I bragged on this huge, delicious rib eye they wanted to come try it out. We went there last Saturday and of course ordered the rib eye, I was disappointed and embarrassed that we got a thin slab of meat. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious however, much smaller than I had had before. The price had gone up which is OK by me but the steak got way smaller. I will be revising my FB post. Still, it is a great place to meet friends. It has a friendly and uplifting vibe to it and the food is good. And Krista is absolutely the best waitperson, kind, great smile and very good at what she does! read more

First time to Wild Irish Pub and loved it! Great atmosphere, friendly crowd, delicious food. We had the Wontons, Shephrd's Pie, and 50/50 Sliders and didn't leave a single bite behind! Best of was Crystal, who worked her magic with some Prohibition Era gin and mint concoction that was truly delightful. The thing is, I want to like this place, Shelton needs to have a decent bar. However, the experience my family and I had was absolutely terrible. We were having my brother over from California the day after Christmas, and wanted to go out for a drink. Five of us came, (two being my parents obviously over 50), and the rest of us over 21. As soon as we sat down at a table the waitress asked for ID's (which was fine of course), and we all produced them immediately (even my parents). Everything was fine until she saw my brother's, which was vertical, and her behavior immediately changed, abruptly saying that she wouldn't accept his ID because it was vertical (she didn't even check the dates). Trying to be reasonable, he took it with a smile (despite being a month over 21), and began to say he wouldn't get anything. Before he could finish however, the waitress announced aloud to the entire bar we would have to ALL leave at once. We were kind of dumbfounded and everyone was staring at us, so we had no choice but to leave. As we were standing up the waitress quickly scanned the dates on his ID, admitted that he was old enough, but said that her manager wouldn't approve of it. Then said for him to go buy a new ID, waving us out with a "we'll have to serve you next time!". Not a good way to approach the situation. There obviously wasn't anything illegal happening due to the parents being present, and his ID proved he was of age. I understand the manager has preferences, but she could have at least called her manager and explained the situation. In addition, although it is technically up to the owner, the law does state verticals IDs are lawfully acceptable. Here's the kicker though, we had actually visited the pub before (with my parents, but without my brother) and none of us got carded. I'm someone who can't grow facial hair and looks well under 21, and yet I had to actually double check with the waitress if I needed to show my ID, in which she kindly assured me it wasn't necessary due to the people I was with. Unfortunately we will not be coming back again due to the experience, just thought people should be aware. read more
