Zero complaints! This was my first time at the Irish Pub in Shelton and everything was DELICIOUS. I had the lemon shrimp appetizer, the 50/50 beef & brisket sliders, and the Irish cream butterscotch dessert. Service was fast and friendly. Dining Room felt new and clean. Prices were reasonable for a nice place in a town dominated by fast food and pizza joints. I'll definitely be back! read more

Good was well seasoned, but not too much. I had a thick Irish soup (?) made with a dark lager and i didn't add salt or pepper. Lovely and hearty. The staff really tried to accommodate me as they didn't have a soup available. Attentive without hovering. The restaurant also has a list of the day's specials on a board out front to add to the menu. The seating is spacious. I once saw someone in a custom wheelchair and I enjoyed the fact that the restaurant worked with the person rather than making them feel different. Very nice. This establishment is fantastic. I have been about 3-4 times dining in and tonight I order to go. Every time I have dined in we get the pork belly which is so tasty! They have 2 flavors, and I'm team, I think it's maple bourbon? Anyway they're so good. Then they have the old steak salad as an ode to the late Shelton restaurant, The Strip steakhouse that is fantastic and feels like home. I ordered it to go tonight and just mentioned I wanted my dressing on the side, and they went above and beyond separated my steak as well, ensuring that I had the crispiest salad leaves. Fantastic. Steaks cooked fab always!! The whole place is awesome. The staff are super cool and I like that they aren't over bearing, but also attend to you whenever you need something. Go eat! We were in eating dinner 19th of August, was my birthday, Yay. The food and atmosphere were excellent as was the service. We were going to finish up and leave and then a gentleman started playing music and we were simply amazed, we will be back and I hope he will be playing again. read more

Stopped here on Labor Day for quick bite. Really neat place with a small village Irish vibe going. Wife had the shepherds pie, really nice lamb & beef combo...tones down the "lambiness" for a perfect flavor when combined with the fresh rosemary. I had the 50/50 burger...not over dressed with a bunch of unnecessary stuff, allows the flavor of the brisket and ground beef to be savored. Didn't have a fancy cocktail, but man is the bartender on it! A true craftsman, the attention to detail observed was impressive and fun to watch. Service was spot on too. read more

We were greeted upon arriving, and the staff took care of us very well. The staff was very knowledgeable about the food and the drinks and made suggestions. The specialty drink menu is fun and I enjoyed my cocktail. The food was excellent. Yes, I did think it was a little pricey, but sometimes it's nice to splurge on yourself. My mom & i we're just about to finish the last leg of a 2-day trip from Sacrsmento to Hoodsport, tired & not wanting to cook when we got to her place, we were told to try their fish & chips! Oh my! Just found this relatively new spot on a drive through Shelton. No offense intended toward Shelton, but our expectations were very low. This place though was a wonderful surprise! Met the chef, had great food, and they have a massive selection of spirits. The food was a knockout. My wife had a great tomato bisque and I had their fried chicken sammie. Both were very well presented. This is NOT pub food, although they do have burgers and such. It's a full-on quality restaurant with their own twist. Very good. Give them a try. read more

Sound level way too loud due to it being an echo chamber. Food portions were small. 20 taps and a good selection was the high point as well as the staff. My Guiness Stew was good on flavor but short on the roast the menu spoke of. Menu items were $19 to 21. Our group dropped about $225, I went home and cook a pork chop. I have lived in this town since 1970. As a young'n, our family dined at The Ming Tree (Chinese Restaurant) on a regular basis. I was sad to see it close down. That said, I was excited to learn the new building would be an Irish Pub. I had been aware of the pub meaning to open a few times in the past, but when I drove by I did not see a grand opening sign and it appeared still closed. One day recently, on the way to work, I saw Railroad Ave PACKED with cars and people on the sidewalks coming and going from the Wilde Irish Pub and was pleased to learn it had FINALLY opened!!!! :) I visited the Wilde Irish Pub on Monday 7/18/22 before work (I work the night shift). Arrived about 3:00-3:30 PM. I planned to give a little extra time as not to be rushed. I am glad I did. I had checked with a couple friends who had a chance to visit the pub prior to my visit. One just loved it and the other said it wasn't her vibe, was really loud with standing room only. I can understand that, however coming earlier in the day like I did might alleviate some of the "loudness". I am wondering if some sound deadening partitions on the walls/ceiling might help. I did notice that there was some slight "chatter noise" and imagined what it would have been like if everyone was talking loud. I'm hoping one day to get to play music at this establishment so the sound acoustics are something I do think about. When I walked in, I noticed the sophisticated atmosphere right away and I felt very comfortable. The staff were dressed classy and professional. I admire this. The inside was clean and had lots of wood decor. Although I am not a drinker of alcohol, they have 20 beers on tap located at a clean and uncluttered station. The bar and the display of spirits was very clean and classy. Our server was Renae. She was super sweet with a beautiful smile and aura of kindness. She advised us the pub was serving off a simple menu at this time (not the full menu which is taped to the glass window near where we were seated). The full menu includes burgers and more. It was hard to read the menu taped to the window from inside, as the sun was behind it and it was printed on both sides. When we pulled up to park, I saw three people reading this menu so it is of value. I would recommend maybe printing both sides individually and make a classy mounting of the menu in simple frames on the inside/outside of the building. We received out water and root beef (for the other half) fairly quickly. Our food on the otherhand....it took about 30 minutes, if not more. I am actually glad it took a little longer for our food, as it gave us a chance to really check out the digs and ask questions. I met Nikki, the owner. She told us the cool stories about the door hanging over the bar. How it was associated with a one-way window on the door that peeked into the local brothel as well as the TRUE story that the door is that of the original Shelton Post Office that used to occupy this exact building. Some of the wood, to include the wood partitions between some of the seating area, came from the old bowling alley-turned-bar that was on N 1st Street near Domino's Pizza (some locals might recall it. It looked like a big red barn). It was recently demolished and I think it's pretty cool that Nikki preserved some of this local history. Nice work, lady! The other half ordered the Irish sampler plate and I ordered the Ming Tree Won Tons. I loved that they kept the Ming Tree alive by naming a dish after them. They were very delicious with corned beef and cabbage inside. The won tons were served with a house dipping sauce that was horseradish-based and absolutely amazing. I am not sure what else is in the sauce but MAN was it good! The other half's sampler dish consisted of a simple portion of corned beef & cabbage with carrots and taters, a banger on mashed tates and a baked dish of shepherds pie. He stated his corned beef & cabbage was cold. I tried it and it was acceptable to me, but we all have different preferences. It was warm but not hot. I am guessing it was done and sitting on the plate before the other two sections of food. I sampled my partners grub. The shepherds pie was killer. I could taste a bit of "gamey-ness" so asked the gentleman server that checked on us if this was lamb. In fact it was a lamb and beef mix. Delightful and delicious. The banger was delicious as well. All in all, the food was so nummy and it is so cool to have something different in our town. I can't wait to go back and try some more of the items on the menu. Although I had a pleasant and positive experience, Wilde Irish Pub does have room for improvement and I have no doubt that their procedures and customer service will improve as time goes on. read more
