This place is like an upscale Panera Bread, which I thought was pretty nice to begin with. The breads, soups, teas, and cookies tasted very fresh here. I had a half chicken pesto sandwich, potato cream cheese soup, ginger peach hot tea, and the butterscotch oatmeal cookie. All-in-all the food was very delicious, and the bathrooms were extremely clean. (There's even hand lotion in the bathroom!) Be wary: when you pay with a credit card before sitting, there's no place to leave a tip. You would have to bring in cash with you ahead of time to tip the people bringing your food. This made for a great pitstop between SoCal and Albuquerque; it was definitely worth driving the extra half mile or so off the freeway. This place lacks a fifth star because the two person booth was uncomfortable due to the lack of leg room. Who isn't a fan of Wildflower? Tasty, wholesome options. What a nice change it is to have an awesome lunch spot that is not greasy, fatty fast food. I try to get over there for lunch every chance that I get. They are always ready for a big rush and keep things moving along. One of my favorite meals is the Roast Beef & Gorgonzola. Way tasty and one of my favorite sandwiches in town. I love the eclectic menu they have, so many different things to choose from. In the mood for some spice get down on the spicy meatball sandwich. You will call and thank me later I promise! The breakfast is great also. I grab the Taylor Ham & Swiss and start my day off right. I like to review mom and pop spots usually but this place has certainly won me over. read more

I don't generally have a chance to go to Wildflower Bread Company often, as it's just out of the way from my work and the parking can be pretty tight in that area. I went at noon on a weekday and it had a pretty long line, but it moved pretty quickly. I ordered the half sandwich/half soup combo with half the BLT plus and half the roasted garlic tomato soup. The BLT was delicious; it had an herb mayo and spread avocado which took it over the top. The soup was not like a traditional smooth tomato soup like I thought it would be- so just be on notice that it does have chunks and texture. The cost was $10.29 for the lunch, and it was a bit on the smaller side for what I was expecting for the price. However, the flavors were there and the customer service was great. read more

Update to my original review. I've been back about 20 times since then because my family is obsessed with one of the dishes. They still serve sandwiches with the wettest ingredient at the bottom. Every time. No exception. The owner reached out and said that's not how they typically do it, but trust me it is. I didn't take his $10 off offer or whatever it was he said I could have. Very clean and fast. They have hand sanitizer stations everywhere. The cashier changed his gloves after every transaction. The dining area and bathroom was very clean. Great lunch spot! Loved the fire outside on the patio. They were out of the beet hummus which was a disappointment for me. I think what I ended up getting was better. I got to taste more on the sampler platter. I got the couscous, cauliflower and the sweet potatoes (al of which were delicious). I kind of felt healthy too! My dad said the French onion soup was good. I had to refrain from ordering that in a bread bowl. The fresh bread was great and my son enjoyed his grilled cheese as well. This was the first Wildflower I had been to. My friend who invited me to lunch recommended this place saying it was like a Panera, but better. I couldn't agree more. I had the half tuna sandwich and half Caesar salad. The Caesar salad comes with mushrooms; so if you're not a fan of mushrooms make sure to ask for your salad without them. One thing I really liked about Wildflower was that it's perfect for working. Almost every table you could sit at inside has an outlet to plug in your technology. There are a lot of smaller tables, so if you're dining and working alone, you won't feel bad about taking up a larger table. There is also lots of outdoor seating if you have larger groups or if the weather is nice. read more

I'm so glad to see a Wildflower Bread open in Flagstaff! Now I can get those curiously addicting morning glory muffins when I'm up here in Flagstaff. I only recently became aware of this little section of Flag when I was looking for something else and stumbled on the Wildflower in this new little shopping center. Now that Wildflower has more than a few locations I must admit they are a chain but they are a local Arizona chain which I don't mind supporting. It doesn't hurt that they have yummy baked goods as well as nice soup and sandwich selections and pretty good breakfasts. i came here during the winter time and the best thing about this place was shelter from the freezing cold outside....lol this place reminds me of a "nicer" panera bread. i only say "nicer" because it has a fire place in the middle. i swear... you can turn anything nice with a fireplace. don't trust me?!?! if there's a strip club out there with a fireplace, i bet you 100% it'll be one classy strip joint. LOL. anyways, i ended up getting soup because i was seriously freezing. wtf, how could it have been that cold in AZ. its consider a desert, no???? i got a bread bowl with soup and 2 extra large meatballs. the meatballs were about 2.50 and were pretty filling. they were soaked in marinara sauce and topped with herbs. as for the bread bowl, it was hard as hell to eat. the bread was not as soft as other places. i understand sourdough bread is supposed to be hard, but this was cut up my mouth and break my teeth tough to eat. lol. maybe i just got bad bread? the cheddar broccoli soup was the best part of the meal. i like the consistency of it and flavor. PROTIP: if you ever want to get a bread bowl, just ask them to put the soup in a to go cup. this way, you can drip the bread into the soup??? i dunno, i feel like that the better way to eat a bread bowl. the servers were nice and friendly and the restrooms were really clean. As other reviewers have stated, this is the Panera of Flagstaff. It's set up the same way--order at the counter and wait for your food. The nice part is that they actually bring your food out to you, bring you other things you might need (sauces, etc.) and clear your plates. Nice! We ate here on a road trip because of the vegetarian options. I got the portobello sandwich (which cannot be ordered on the half sandwich + soup or salad menu), and he got the half sweet potato sandwich with the vegetarian potato leek soup. That ran me around $18. You can get it to go. The food was fresh and tasty. The bread was great, and my full sandwich came with a little side of potato salad which was awesome. My only gripe is that I looked up the portobello sandwich after I ate it and it was like 500+ calories and ~45g of fat!!! For a sandwich! Anywho, this is a nice little cafe with creative options, and if I lived in Flagstaff I'm sure I would be a regular. read more

Great food, lodz of options but slow service!!! We were driving to grand canyon and decide to stop here for quick lunch. There are plenty of options to choose from. The staff is friendly and the order was quick. i ordered Portobello Picnic, Vegetarian Spicy Tomato Lentil, chai tea latte and a loaf of banana bread for the road. We had to wait for 15 - 20 mins for the food. The sandwich was warm, flavorful and delicious but once it got cold, the bread became very hard. The soup was very comforting and delicious. my chai tea latte was perfect (not too sweet) and hot as I like it. The banana loaf was heavenly. It was moist and full of coconut and nuts. Overall it was soothing experience and I definitely recommend trying their banana loaf :) read more

I am not a huge fan, but it is one of those places where I can eat out at and not feel gross and guilty afterwards. First time I went, I got their chopped salad. Really really different. It had dehydrated corn kernels which threw me off and I expected a piece of salmon, instead I got minced salmon. The salad was still pretty good though and really filled me up. I would have given it more store for just the salad alone, but the bread it came with... for a bread company, not very good bread. I've eaten at panera and they always give you fresh bread that crunches when you bite into it. Wildflower was soft and very unexciting. Second time I went i got the roast beef gorgonzola and french onion soup. Pretty average soup, but the roast beef was pretty outstanding. I would definitely get that again. My girlfriend's mean came with a side of bread, and again, soft and boring. Good place for an average brunch read more

How's the food? Good How's the atmosphere? Decent How are the prices? Meh...okay The food, the atmosphere and the prices here are nothing to get excited about. The food is good, but never great. The atmosphere is sterile, but at least more comforting than McDonald's. The prices are not outrageous, but not cheap by any means. So why does this place get five stars from me? The service here is exceptional. Very rarely am I wowed by service, but it was enough that it merits the full five stars. I went in last night to get a roasted sweet potato sandwich. After I placed the order and sat down, the manager came up to me and notified me that they were out of focaccia. Needless to say I was disappointed, as that is pretty much the best part of the sandwich. I told him garden herb was fine, after which sensing I might be disappointed with the end result. I decided to see if I wanted some soup as well. When I went up to look at the board, the manager came up to me and asked me if I wanted some soup, saying it was on the house, so I ordered a cup of roasted corn soup. The manager brought me my sandwich and my soup and both were pretty delicious (though admittedly better with the focaccia). He checked up on me a couple of times after that and even offered dessert, which I had to pass on because I was stuffed. All in all, the manager was great, and made me want to eat there more often. read more

Like a cross between panera bread and corner bakery, wildflower is just as amazing and certainly does not disappoint! Great selection of breakfast & lunch items. Portions are decent and prices are good. The coffee is great as well as their tea. I got a latte & iced coffee which I'm thinking of getting again as I write this review... I had the veggie frittata with a side of potatoes and SO got the French Toast (stuffed with cream). Both were good and flavorful. My potatoes were a little cold and stale but the seasoning on it was really good. The staff was friendly and service is quick! You can watch them work in the kitchen- pretty busy but they're efficient and fast. ****bumping up to 5 stars bc of AMAZING customer service! **** this company is GREAT! They really do know how to take care of their customers! A little goes a long way in my book and they've definitely impressed me and have gone above and beyond my expectations! Wildflower is very similar to a Panera but takes it up a notch. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated. There are many seating options and even a fireplace to get cozy by. Too cold while we were there but we saw that there was a spacious outdoor patio as well. My family ordered the triple club sandwich, the wildflower #2 (pick 2 with the chicken lemon noodle soup and southwest superfood salad), and 3 kids' mac and cheese kids' meals (which came with a side of fruit, a small drink, and a cookie). Everything was very enjoyable. I would have preferred the kids have the option for milk or apple juice but instead was told for an up charge of $1 you can get that instead of a fountain drink. Soup and salad was most impressive. Very high quality food and was quickly prepared. Additionally, the customer service was very good. The staff were very nice and even told us a little bit about the area! We will definitely be stoping here for lunch on the way back!!! read more
