Raccoons might be the most clever and determined critters I have ever seen once the work was DONE. We thought we had opossums on our flat residential/commercial building. David responded immediately and made an appointment. Initially he didn't see anything but the resident told him she heard a noise. He knew the noise was from a raccoon and possibly a raccoon with a nest of babies. He placed 2 cameras on the roof and came back the next day. Seems we have large rats on our roof coming from vines from the neighbor's walls. This isn't like a house with an attic. We have a 7 or 8 inch opening between the roof and the ceiling. Somehow the raccoon got in between there. David drilled a small hole and sprayed pepper spray. This summer a raccoon and her teenagers decided to call the crawl space under our house home. The racket was keeping us up half the night. I messaged several animal control companies but Wildlife Detectives were the first to respond and they were able to come out the next day. Yuri and his team were amazing and it was no small task. They got the raccoons out and installed vents that the raccoons could not pull out to get back in. But Saturday night we heard noises again. Yuri and David were out first thing Sunday morning and found a skunk. There was one small area where he was able to tunnel into the crawl space. Since that Sunday we have heard nothing. 10/02/2020 - I have had a problem with a foul odor coming through the floorboards in my downstairs guest bathroom. After hearing something under our kitchen floor and trying everything recommended by the Humane Society we took their advice and called Wildlife Detectives. They arrived within a day to find a mama raccoon protecting her two babies in a very tight space under our kitchen floor. The kitchen was an add on and did not have appropriate access for a human but Yuri and partner, Giovanni made it happen! They took care of removing our garage steps, some planks from out patio and retrieved the babies. The babies were kept in a box in the backyard and a one way trap was installed for the angry Mama to retrieve her babies and move on. Within five minutes of Yuri leaving Mama let herself out grabbed one of the babies and brought them to a new home. She returned to get baby #2 a little later. Yuri and Giovanni did a site inspection to see that there were no other animals and that all vents were sealed. In addition, they put our garage steps and patio back together. My rental property has a serious raccoons issue, these things keep scratching the walls in the middle of the nights and babies raccoons were crying. Estimate done by Victor on Sat, and I confirmed the job with Yuri on the next Monday, then they show up Tuesday morning to set up the trap and replace all the old and broken vents. Victor is very young, but very professional and knowledgeable. He explained to me clearly and patiently what happened, and what needs to be done. Yuri (his boss) sent me the quote, which I have questions about the process. He got back to me immediately and explained the works and process patiently. Raccoon Dave is the man!! We've had something scurrying around our walls, it sounded big so we thought it was a raccoon. Dave's name was given to us, he was fast, courteous and came out a day later. Luckily the scurrying was gone, but Dave was able to piece together that it wasn't a raccoon but a rat and showed me where the perpetrator got in so I'm able to patch the hole up. Had a bad smell coming from the vent on top of the stove, and discovered some nesting materials (dried leaves and string like bark) -- concluding there was an animal to be removed, perhaps dead. Found David online via Yelp. Calling at 9am went straight to answering machine, but someone called back 30 minutes later. I indicated the job was time sensitive, and I had taken the day off work to have it taken care of today. David called 30 minutes later, and was able to come and inspect the problem in the morning of the same day I contacted them. Problem was a dead squirrel in the air vent from the stove. David climbed up over 20' outside the house to remove the vent, fully clean it (with bleach), and re-install with a wire mesh covering to prevent other animals from getting in the vent. First of all forgive me Yuri for taking so long to post this review. It is so devastating to hear animals crawling in your attic and you can't do anything about. I Called Wildlife Detective and they were there the next day. Yuri explained to me he had to get the babies out of the attic to lure the mother out and put in a one way door so once the mother got out to look for her babies, she could not get back in. I honestly did not trust this process, and I didn't think it would work. When I came home from work the next day the babies were in a bucket in the backyard with a little insulation covering them. I said no way I brought them inside they were so cute, I was scared to leave them out there for fear a male raccoon would kill them, I called Yuri and he said let mother nature do her thing, so I left them out. By morning the Mother and both babies were gone. Our rental property had aging and rusty crawlspace grates, through which a raccoon had eventually torn through. We eventually noticed scratching sounds under the floor, heard chittering sounds at random times of day, and saw tracks along our fence. Through another company we were connected with Racoon Dave, who sent Yuri to do an initial inspection. Later, Victor arrived to help us with the raccoons. Over a few days, Victor acquired new grates, setup a one-way trap (to clear the mother raccoon), pulled out the raccoon babies through a super narrow grate (parts of the crawlspace didn't allow enough space for a human to reach the raccoon's den), and then systematically repaired all entry points to our crawlspace. Not only was he super knowledgeable and quick to respond to any of our questions and scheduling requests, he also worked outside during multiple 90+ degree days (recent Bay Area heat wave!) to get the job done. I had a short, but great experience with Yuri and Wildlife Detectives yesterday. I called on Sunday and got a call back first thing Monday morning. I was scheduled for the next day and Yuri (hope I am spelling this right) was right on time. I was concerned that a skunk or some other small critter had burrowed under the foundation of our home after finding digging along the side of the house. Yuri confirmed that there was no tunneling, and actually no access to go further than what I saw and that most likely a skunk had given up after finding no food. I can't say enough good things about Jerry and the help he provided me. After following the advice given by Wildcare and Sonoma Wildlife Rescue in dealing with some very noisy raccoons under the house, we found ourselves in a worsening predicament: abandoned raccoon babies under our house in a very tight location (read: impossible to reach!) after mom raccoon disappeared.
