Do not hire this guy. He's unstable. Saw him hit another car today and he was yelling at the people when he was at fault. Seems like he needs anger management classes. Wouldn't trust someone like him with my home address if this is how he treats people when he's the one in the wrong. If you're going to drive your company vehicle maybe act more civil. Saw another review about his driving and road rage as well. Clearly this is his normal demeanor, not a one time thing. Learn some manners and take some driving lessons. Prompt, courteous, knowledgeable. Although we weren't able to install all of the deterrent methods he recommended, he and his crew did an outstanding job installing a mesh guard around our garbage bins, and that was enough: within a week or two the raccoons had realized we were not going to be providing food for them, and moved on. I really like that he doesn't trap or kill! Just teaches people how to coexist, and does excellent work at evaluating the property and proposing and installing solutions that restored our peace and avoided conflict with the rascals. read more

We have used Mr Raccoon several times and had really good luck with Erik but the last two times I had to call and got someone else, not such good luck. Someone came out and when I emailed some questions to follow up - no response. Ever. Then I set an appointment for a different issue in another building and no one ever showed up or even called. Nothing. Are they going downhill? What is happening with this business?! I guess we have to find some other place that provides the same, but good service. read more

We called Mr. Raccoon because we noticed a crawl space vent had been broken into by an animal. We taped wrapping paper over the opening until we could get a professional eye on it. Junio could tell immediately that it had been a raccoon and that she had already left probably after having her babies under there. We discussed replacing the broken vent (which was pretty substantial) with 1/16" for fire prevention and hardening the home against ember intrusion. He already had just what we needed in his truck so we could see what we were getting. His bid was so reasonable we asked him to do the entire house. Gabriel and Nicholas came today to do the job. They just finished and we're amazed at the beautiful job that they did. They painted the galvanized steel to seal it and make it blend in with the house. They left the garden and everything around it speckless...not even a squished plant. Amazing, I don't know how they did it. We are so grateful for their service. Do not use this guy. He's nutso. After he repeatedly called and texted, after an initial misunderstanding, I had to block him because he harassed me so much, and threatened to report me to wildlife authorities, for what, I'm not sure. I felt like I was being stalked. So a few months later (today, actually) I get a call from Animal Care and Control, asking if I'd used illegal trappers and (get this) that babies had been left behind. This is all blatant lies. No one would leave babies without their mothers, surely. That 'tip off' had come from - you guessed it. I supplied them with the name of the trapper, no he was not on their list. And no, there were no babies. Before I was more sympathetic, stating that most people gave this guy great reviews and that only I had had a bad experience. Now I say, and especially if you're a woman, don't deal with this guy. His wrath forever spews. read more

Junio and team are A+ in every way. We had a trio of squirrels find their way into the small attic in the gabled roof above our garage). We can hear them - pretty loud little ones here. We have no access to that space either and really did not want to cut a hole in the ceiling. He came by, very patiently gave his assessment (and you can tell this man is a real expert - we had 2 others come by and they didn't know even a fraction of what Junio knew). Amazingly we did find the access point for the squirrels by chance - we literally saw them run off into a small corner of the roof. Now, to access this point was not easy, and you cannot use normal one way traps here. Junio got a 30 foot ladder, got up there, put a really creative one way trap custom made I believe by his team. And guess what, we captured the squirrel escaping out on video. At first I heard a lot of noise and saw the squirrel trying to get out actually, but he couldn't get out. So I texted Junio saying maybe the trap opening is too small, or it isn't in exactly the right place. He calmed me down and said "trust me, I use these often, they work, be patient" - so I listened to him and boom, it worked the next day. Squirrely got out safely, scurried away, and no harm done. No noise since. His creativity to solve the problem blew me away. He is a patient guy too. Highly highly recommend! read more

Often at night, we heard destructive sounding noises in our walls. Junio came out, quickly figured out the ( more than 1) routes animals were taking to the roof. (Well, not that quickly - he actually got up on the roof and spent quite a bit of time tromping around to the corners. He left a camera overnight to show what the animals were doing and creatively solved a problem (requiring some extra work) when he realized the roofers had not quite done the job expected years before. Our motion sensor security camera detected a mother raccoon and two babies in our backyard. At night, we would hear movement and scratching noises from beneath our backyard deck that interfered with our sleep. We called Junio of Mr. Raccoon to stop by and recommend a solution. He quickly identified the access points where the raccoons were entering our deck area and said he could install heavy-duty chicken wire to prevent future access. Meanwhile, he would need to know that any raccoon still under our deck had exited. His workers dug a deep trench around our deck, installed the wire fence and then proceeded to put in place a one-way door that would allow animals to exit but not re-enter the space below our deck. Finally, he installed a video camera facing the one-way door, designed to capture any animal movement. Sure enough, his camera caught the mother raccoon and her two babies leaving the space below our deck. We no longer hear any noises or scratching sounds and are confident that our raccoon problem has been solved. Never thought I'd need to call these guys but when I discovered a mama raccoon and her little babies in my garage this afternoon, I called Mr. Raccoon to help - and the experience was nothing short of wonderful. That's right, I didn't think that raccoon removal would be a *wonderful* experience. The guy they sent, Erik, was professional, kind, and very informative as he did the work, explaining he was going to have the mama leave the way she came in, then safely remove the babies and put them in a box outside for her to come back and take to another den (fun fact: raccoons have 2-3 dens so there's always a backup space!) I initially felt apprehensive calling them because of the fear they might be put down but Erik put my fears to rest when he explained the process. What really warmed my heart was when Erik mentioned he has a 5 month old daughter and that she would eventually ask what he did for a living and that he would be proud to tell her he saves animals - so adorable!!! While I felt bad evicting a single mom family of four, I'm happy to see how humanely and kindly they were treated and glad they will be safe and happy :). Very unique and fun experience. read more

He evaluated our property as well as the perimeter, developed a theory about where they were coming in, and recommended installing wire mesh over a gap between our building and the neighboring one. In the mesh he installed a one-way exit for any squirrels inside and left a camera to monitor it. He came back two days later to check the camera and confirmed that animals had exited. This morning I witnessed him slam on his brakes amongst a few other nice maneuvers with no one in front of him which caused the rest of us to slam on our brakes. Apparently he was trying to police the vehicles behind him. Thank you Guto for your prompt and professional service. I've been hearing wrestling and scratching action on my roof for the past few months. I haven't felt the need to look into it until my neighbor told me that he has seen several raccoons climb up my roof and destroy my ventilations. I called Mr Raccoon and they were able to schedule Guto to come to my house for an inspection the following day. He was able to see the mess that the Raccoons created and came back to board the wall and make a one way door for the critters to exit only. Mr. Raccoon saved the day and the raccoons! A raccoon mama and three babies were living inside my house, in between the walls deep in. Surprised no one has commented on the electric netting! Attaching pics cuz it really is legit. Not a terrible eye sore and easy to take up and down. I paid to catch 3 animals with another service and as Mr raccoon said electric fence is the only way to get rid of them with a 100% success rate. Those animals came back a few weeks later and crushed my lawn. Called Mr. Raccoon and his dude spent 5 hours installing an electric net. It only took this long because my outlet was far and set-up was a little awkward. The netting will give me time to get rid of grubs. What's more, they're the only ones we found that install a 1-way door and invite the raccoons to leave (and not come back), rather than trap and then euthanize them. Yep - that's the law in CA. Once trapped, wildlife must be euthanized. And they even provide a warranty on their work. The owner (Junio) used to work at WildCare, and his small staff seems both knowledgeable and professional.
