We stayed here on our cross country road trip. My only regret was that we didn't spend more than one day here. By far my FAVORITE KOA! So many things for my toddler to do and burn energy. Swimming pool was nice and clean. Restaurant had delicious food. Staff was SO polite, helpful, and sweet! My families best experience so far! If you are stopping here, you should plan to spend a few days! :) not to mention the Grand Canyon is close enough for a day trip and the town of Williams was very cute. :) read more

Arrived midweek and not too bad. Friday hit, and holy crap, this place turned into an absolute zoo. We were first told when we arrived that campfires were allowed. Then on Friday we were informed that we could not have a campfire due to county fire restrictions. That's cool, I completely understand. But one hour later, two other sites had fires going which lasted all night and no one around to enforce it. The KOA manager tried to tell me she could lose her business license if she didn't enforce the fire rules, that's how important the fire restrictions were. Yea, ok........then enforce your own rules. Campers were cranking music, dogs barking all over the place, packed in like sardines and not anywhere near how the photos depict the sites to actually look like. We're taking this one off our list. We stayed here for 5 nights in a full hookup site for about $55 per night. The campground is all dirt/rock and most of the sites are not level. The sites are close together and the park is close to the highway. There were freight trains running all night about a mile away with frequent full horn blasts. The neighbors and their fire pit were very close to our bedroom slide which was very noisy. Don't expect to keep your shiny new rig looking clean here because there are clouds of dust and tree sap. On a positive note there are lots of activities for the kids. Not sure if we will return here. read more

I loved this place. I normally dry camp, so this is a rare experience having full hookups. But the park has a great location and setting that does not give you the feel of being in a crowded trailer park. All sites were clean and easily accessible, minimal leveling is needed. Just know that not all spots have FULL hookups. Some don't have sewer. Plenty of activities for kids, go carts, mini golf and the blob!!! Some trails to hike are available too. But it's a great central location for activities at the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, and Williams it's self. I highly recommend a stay. Enjoy read more

Planned a little "staycation" with some friends and decided on the KOA. I used to not like campgrounds and preferred seclusion in the woods but these KOA's are starting to make me change my mind- especially with young kids! They seem to have everything! The "blob" or bouncy pillow was a hit and so were the go-carts. The little train ride they offer twice a day was a kid highlight for sure! We didn't get a chance to try mini-golf but it looked pretty fun too. The indoor pool was SUPER chlorinated- good for a lot of reasons, but harsh on the eyes and skin. The kids loved it too. We decided to try the cafe one night for dinner too and the pizza wasn't half bad. The only thing is everything is run on a very tight schedule so pay attention to the hours for everything they offer. We have already started talking about going again with family, definitely recommend. read more

Layout of the koA doesn't allow for a peaceful stay if you are anywhere near the west side. Windy!! Fine if you are an RV nestled back into the trees... terrible if you are not. Definitely glad we didn't tent camp here. Most tents were flattened due to the wind all day. Playgrounds and common areas are in the windy zone too, so the hikes in the trees behind the park are the place to find peace and quiet here. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to stay here. read more

This time around it's super pack as of 5/24/22 and it really makes you notice how small these spaces are. Our slide out in spot 86 is literally above the people next to us picnic table. They can't use one side of their table unless they want to hit their head on our slide out or move it up against their own trailer. This time having our new young dog with us I've been using the dog areas and they are packed with poop. Not all dog owners I guess clean up after their dogs (which is rude and gross) but they should at least have an employee go check them. I stepped in poop twice in 1 day. A guy came in the pool area and told us my daughter couldn't be in the jacuzzi unless over 14 years of age. As someone in the medical field and my husband a retired firefighter we are super annoyed. The "rule" is must be 5 and older with adult supervision AND no longer than 5 minute increments. I am literally sitting in clothes next to her and my husband in the jacuzzi with her. We never had any issues before when we used the jacuzzi with kids here so I dont know why all of the sudden a change. The ladies in the front store/registration office as always are super friendly and a joy to be around. read more

We have stayed at a lot of KOAs. Not many are this big or have this many amenities. However the low rating is due to a few things we didn't feel were up to standard. We received a welcome email but were not told that the pool was closed. We kept our grandsons happy for many miles telling them when we got there they could swim. We were in a gravel spot with very close neighbors and no shade. The internet service was poor. Price was good and we were only there one night. read more

This KOA really caters to children with is nice however it was very crowded. I would not let my grandkids go swimming in the indoor pool because it was like a sauna in there and full of adults and children. So in times like these with the covid I felt it was probably not safe. The go carts were not open while we were there I wash they'd tell you that they are not open 7 days a week beforehand. The little train was nice though. Also there are pony rides for about $5. I probably won't be back anytime soon read more

Stayed at this KOA on the way to Denver. Seemed nice and employees had good customer service. The only thing open was the bounce pad, no go carts and no miniature golf. Our location was not even close to level, had to really add to one side to raise to level! The bees/hornets really bothered us during the day. On our return from Denver we topped here again and were very disappointed! We called ahead and asked for a more level site. So they changed it a few times saying we are lucky because they are almost full ??!!?? The parking driver dumped us off and took off!?? We were not sure we were in correct site! Very unlevel, very unhappy! Water valve leaked, site lite burned out, an in the morning the bees! Oh and less than half of this location full! The restrooms were always clean. read more

This place is a scam! The spots are literally on top of each other. From the front door of your trailer you have 4 feet and then your stepping on someone's sewage line. Then they market all kinds of amenities but they are never even open. The golf carts are only from Thursday at 3 through Sunday. The Cafe is only open Friday through Sunday. The horses... they have a few and there is only 1 ride a day, if you can get a reservation. They have the INDOOR pool closed for the "weather"... it was sunny outside. Not that it is that great anyway. It is so small that you can barely walk around the pool much less sit down. The deck around it is also dirty disgusting. If your looking for somewhere quiet to relax and camp, DON'T go here. It's like grand central station and all you hear at night is the highway. If I was prepared to dry camp, I would have left the second I got there and camped in the woods. Don't let the website fool you like it did me. It was a waste of my vacation. read more

Not sure what president gave this KOA an award, but definitely was not what was expected. Nice circular layout in trees with the usual highway noise, but only 3 prefabricated toilets (all dirty and unheated) with cold water only in really tiny tiny sinks. Worse yet were only 2 luke warm showers crammed into the same dirty prefab toilet stalls on 30 sec timers. Showers only a very small person or contortionist could squeeze into. That makes 3 toilets and 2 showers for the entire campground, with cabins. Not recommended by any means... read more

We have stayed here numerous times, and have now decided to leave our trailer here throughout the summer. Staff and facilities are fantastic. The owners are terrific and like to get group rides together when possible. Only a few cons: it is kind of inconvenient that not every spot has full hookups, and the dumping station is at a slight downgrade (our tank is in the front so it is hard to get it completely empty). Despite those few flaws, I give this place a great review! We will continue coming back every summer! read more

The night manager refused to take any responsibility for the way the staff spoke to myself and my girlfriend so we left and found another great place to stay in town. This was our first time at this KOA. Here are the pros and cons. Pros: Kid Friendly: Swimming, mini golf, playgrounds, go-carts, so much for the kids to do. Everything has a small price to participate. Great Camp Spots: The spots were awesome. We had plenty of room. We were far enough from our neighbors that we felt like we were camping. Not many KOAs provide space. This one did and we loved it. Friendly Staff: The registration staff was so helpful. Clean: Everything was clean and beautiful. Cons: Mosquitos - We were eaten alive by the mosquitos. We had bug spray and 2 candles going and it didn't stop the mosquitos. Loud: The campground is right off of an extremely busy freeway and railroad tracks. Luckily, we were in a trailer so it wasn't as noisy as it could be in a tent. We won't come back again in the summer due to the high volume of mosquitos but would come back in the winter. read more

We really enjoyed our stay at this KOA. The tent sites could use some more trees, but they were kept clean and well tended to. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the fun activities that the staff puts on (like a flashlight candy hunt). It is right by the interstate and the train tracks so it's a bit loud. Bring ear plugs for the night. My biggest complaint is that the bathrooms and showers are not properly cleaned/tended to, nor nearly often enough. read more

Great KOA Campground just outside of the Grand Canyon. Lots of extras make it worth the extra $$ vs the national park including a swimming pool and jacuzzi. They even have bicycle rentals and a miniature golf course! read more

Lovely KOA! We stayed in a cabin for three nights. Really enjoyed the campground! Pros: Great location, private and lots of trees. Bathrooms near cabins were clean and new. Showers were also clean and easy to operate. Close to Grand Canyon, Williams Route 66, and hiking. Cons: Wish we could've stayed longer! Will definitely be back. *Did not use pool or mini golf but saw others using facilities. They looked nice. Dog park was enclosed and well maintained. Lots of horse shoe pits to play! Update: We stayed here again only with family this time. There was a hiccup in the reservation and they were so amazing and accommodating. Made our trip so smooth! So many activities for everyone, sites nestled amongst the pines, views of the high country right from your site (some), and extremely reasonable prices. This is truly a gem. We had spot #67 and it was our first experience at a KOA. We tried different angles in the spot & stacked 4 "LEGOs" and couldn't approach level. We had a picnic table in our spot until we came back from a hike an found someone moved our lounge chairs and dragged our picnic table out from under our awning and put it in front of our trailer leaving no room for us to park, or sit as a family. We assume it was the camp host but no communication (note,email or phone call) was given. Our awning almost hit the neighbors' trailer, the WiFi didn't work, our sewer had to flow UPHILL to dump even while using the plastic risers to hold the hose. We found rocks (probably from a campfire ring) discarded in our camp site and had to move those out of the way. We had unsupervised kids stroll through the camp so we took to parking in the back to block their path to the pool and playground. We smelled the propane regularly and it mixed with sewer smells from rigs with less experienced owners who left their sewer connection open allowing gasses to escape...right at our front door. The camp trucks in every drop of water they use but that means you get to hear the generator for the water truck refilling the tank. We couldn't get a refund and we still left and dry camped in the woods. Won't return ever. Kinda bummed I purchase the KOA card. read more

This is one of my favorite KOAs because there is so much to do! There is a large indoor pool, mini gulf, go karts, and a park. We stayed to visit the Grand Canyon, which is about an hour away from the KOA, and we are so happy we did. We camped in a tent and street noise wasn't really an issue for us. The bathrooms were well maintained and clean, which is greatly appreciated. The go karts were kind of expensive but the kids loved it and you drive for quite a while. We also found a hidden gem, lava caves about 40 minutes east of the KOA. If you go bring a jacket and flash lights - it gets very cold and dark. Please be respectful of the area; it is free and open to the public. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend staying here if you are planning a family trip to the Grand Canyon or just visiting the area. read more

This KOA is a great location with excellent activities for kids, amenities, with an extremely helpful and friendly staff. It's right off the freeway, close to Williams, and 1 hour away from the Grand Canyon. We rented a "cabin" that advertised it slept 8. I was disappointed to find it was a single wide trailer, one bedroom, with a loft. It did have a porch attached and an outdoor area that we enjoyed. The cabin had one bedroom with a queen bed, a futon in the living area, and the four single beds advertised were actually 4 sleeping pads, which were uncomfortable for adults. The carpet was dirty and the loft had no fans or plugs, so that made it very hot. I wish it was advertised more honestly as far as how many it slept. We had 3 adults and 3 kids, and it felt very cramped. Overall, it was a positive experience, but I would not return based on my experience of the accommodations. read more

This is the worst place to stay. No room most sites are packed together. Manager was rude and so was escort. I asked to be moved because we were put in between a large rv and a large travel trailer and was supposed to stay 5 days. Manager told me there was no where she could move me but I asked with all the empty sites how could that be. She said she was booked. I told her I understood but she could put a smaller camper there and everybody would have room. She did say no sites were assigned to anyone. I was told no again Escort told me I shouldn't worry about site because I would be gone most of the day. How would he know. We barely had any room if you wanted to sit outside then you either had to sit and face your camper which for me was a few ft or turn around and literally look at next persons sewer. We did shorten are days there and left a few days earlier than planned. But as we traveled around the area found lots of nice independent places to stay that were spacious. read more

If you come when it's raining just remember you'll have nothing for the kids to do. The bathrooms are decent and the showers not the best. They are a chain campground so they charge for propane and to use the grill, bike rentals, go cart use, laundry, so just be prepared. The teepees are amazing they are actually roomy for 6 6 people. Has a heater, fan, two chairs, fridge, lamp, carpet, and clean beds with sheets. read more

Great park right off I-40. Staff in office very helpful. Our only issue was that during construction on the highway, if you need to continue west on I-40, you need to get back on I-40 east for 10 miles, get back in I-40 West & travel back through construction zones for 10 miles. We would not have stopped here but would have continued on to the next KOA that had access to the I-40 west. When we made reservations, the person taking our reservation knew we were traveling west & headed to California. I think that this issue with the onramp could have been mentioned. However after discussing this with the park manager, we were satisfied with a resolution that we thought was fair. (We had to suggest the resolution) One other thing is that the pool is not heated. We really enjoyed this campground. We ended up here because the KOA closer to the Grand Canyon was full. After driving by the other KOA, we realized how lucky we were. This campground was quiet (there is some road noise), not crowded and felt like we were in the woods. When I called in my reservation, I asked for a private spot and we were very grateful to whoever picked this spot for us. They have great amenities, although we never used any of them. We never used their bathrooms, so no comment there. We will stay here again and request the same spot. read more

Spent three nights here (Aug 2018) while exploring the Williams, Flagstaff, and Grand Canyon areas (good central location to access all three). Had a smooth, level site and plenty of extra room for our toad. Noise from Interstate 40 was not too bad (a lot of KOAs are noisier, for sure). Can hear the BNSF trains go by 24X7, however. Don't have kids so we didn't use any of the kid-stuff, but there appeared to be a few nice diversions especially for them. Camp was clean and well-maintained. Highway construction made access to the KOA messy, but that is a temporary inconvenience. read more

I was very pleased with our stay here. There was a large number of staff persons and the cabins and restroom facilities were clean and spacious. I found the breakfast and dinner option on-site to be a nice addition, especially since we had not brought any camping equipment. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were clean. The only thing about the hot tub is that it wasn't very hot and this made the kids feel comfortable heading in there. But, I didn't mind as we mostly used the pool. The poolside equipment was in great shape! There were persons from all over the world at this KOA and we found everyone to be friendly and having a good time. We had no problems booking or checking out and found the staff to be quite willing to be flexible with out check-out time. I would return to this KOA again. It was a good distance from the Grand Canyon but close to other activities in Williams and Flagstaff. It was just down the road from Bearizona - a wonderful place to take kids! read more

This place is a joke. We booked four campsites back in January 2021 for three nights. Told them we were traveling together and wanted to be together. They said no problem and we arrived and we all were on separate side of the camp ground. They said they couldn't do anything for us. So two of our group left after two days and so did the rest. They lie to your face. So we ask the manager in person and told her two of us are coming back on the 30th and want to be together and were told our site number that we would have in person from the manager here we are and we got 111 and they are in 135 on the other side of the camp ground. Once again we spoke to the manager and told her about it and and she said she couldn't do anything and did not care and the proceeds to kick us out and told us if we did not leave she would call the police. Because we confronted about the lies to her face.. now they no where around us that have places to stay and we have another five hours till we get home and have been driving since 8am to get there. All they care about is the money and not the people. We have been coming there for years everytime we plan a trip out of state. New management sucks and don't care about the travelers and the families they travel with.. We will never stay there again and we make sure all my families and friends do not. All they do is lie to your face and then they have you escorted end and two of our friends hit a tree because the site they give you don't fit the rigs that we have. And they tell you that life and things happen and don't care. They don't deserve even the number to be rated. We watched two other 5th hit something and they take you in the park. read more

Spent this weekend at a Camping Cabin and it was wonderful. We had a two room, no frills cabin. We found the restrooms and showers to be clean no matter what time of day it was. Staff highly visible and active with campers. The kid activities you can not beat. My nephew stated he didn't want to go home! Staff are all friendly. The park is super clean and well maintained. This is the first KOA campground I ever stayed at and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. My idea of camping involves a tent, not one of these giant $100k-plus motor homes, so that's what we used. The tent section is nice with lots of tree cover, which is apparently fairly rare in this part of Arizona (we drove by a couple of other KOAs that had zero tree cover due to recent fires, those folks would be sweltering once the sun came up every day). The bathroom and shower amenities were surprisingly clean and nice (and modern), and since they import all of their fresh water into the campground, the showers are more or less on a timer so you don't use a lot of water). My limited interactions with the staff showed them all to be friendly and very knowledgeable. Biggest beefs: there is a train track fairly close nearby and the trains run all hours of the night, so if you're a light sleeper, you may be up quite a bit. Either the trains or the ever-present drone of interstate traffic will keep you up. Second beef: the campground store doesn't sell beer. What? Finally - the wireless internet at this place is absolutely abysmal - there are no other words to describe it. It's about an hour's drive to get up to the Grand Canyon, but this was a good place to stay - happy we did it and thankful for a largely comfortable experience. read more

This is an AMAZING RV campground, especially for families and pet owners. Most impressively, the staff is extremely professional and willing to help. Three of them volunteered to fix two issues on our crappy rented RV, out of the kindness of their hearts. They expected nothing in return. Beyond that, there are so many fun things for the kids - pool, mini golf, panning for gold, gokarts, jumping pillows, fully equipped park and sandbox, etc!! Baby train and bikes with kid trailers also available for use! So fun and well maintained! Dog park is also a nice touch. Amazing little spot close to everything - Bearizona and Grand Canyon. read more
