    Texas french toast
    Rohini G.

Really classic train car diner with quick service and hearty breakfast options. I tried the texas french toast which I wish was a bit heavier on the egg wash and featured thicker toast but was otherwise good. Coffee was a nice and a large portion. Cash only (signage is a bit confusing though since it says cash only on weekends and I had come on a weekday).

I was in town visiting family, and stumbled onto this really cute old fashioned railroad style diner! They have a free parking lot but there is also street parking available. Cash only! Items are on the pricier side. They mainly serve breakfast and lunch items. We opted for breakfast: -- House Special Omelet $18: was meh. The omelet was ok, and came with toast of your choice, and a generous portion of home fries. I'd order something else next time. -- Corned Beef Hash Benedict $18: this was great! Very satisfying and recommended! This also came with a very generous side of home fries. -- Side of bacon $4/3 strips: we asked for extra crispy bacon and that's exactly what we got. Sooo good! -- Coffee $3: decent coffee with free refills. Great customer service. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Recommended!!

Came back again with friends and enjoyed my omelette a lot! The loukaniko sausage was super yummy and the service was as good as ever. Still cash only with tax already accounted for!

    Busy behind the counter.

The cash register is from the 1940's..... so what! It works. If you are looking for a diner, look no further, you have found it. This place bustles with activity and the reasons for that are deliciousness! A word of caution and insight for chocolate lovers..... you can order EXTRA chocolate chips on your chocolate chip and banana pancakes (so sinfully good). Now if you like Nutella, order the Nutella French Toast. Oh my they are way above expectation. The place is a gem. Do not miss it. The atmosphere is rowdy and fun.

This establishment only accepts cash. The service and ambiance are good. I had the Wilson's special. I will say that the food isn't bad. It's just alright. Basically, nothing to write to home about. Nothing stands out. I also don't think this meal was worth $17 i.e. not a good bang for your buck.

Cash only! The diner is super cute and very clean/maintained inside. I visited at the end of the summer and they had the doors open, didn't have AC. It was a little warm but not terrible. The staff is friendly, food came out quickly and came out quickly. There is a little parking area with a few spaces next to the diner. Otherwise there is street parking.

If you want a classic diner experience, this as best as you can get. Located on Main Street in Waltham, a small trailer with lots of bar seating and a few booths. 50s themed which is cool. In all honesty, it's not the cleanest, but that's as expected. The food is decent, I liked the ham and cheese omelette. Coffee was so-so.

It's the worst service I've ever received and saying it from my experience as a waitress... we didn't know they closed at 2 in the afternoon we arrived at 1:20 pm, they didn't even let us see the menu when we sat down (it was our first time)... When the waitress approached the table 2 seconds after we sat down, she said that we could eat but that they closed at 2.... I think that instead of rushing new customers they should better close at 1:30 or inform before sitting down. Too rude and a fatal experience

Yes another diner from the king. I was informed that the booths fill up with multiple people so I sat at the counter. The owner greeted me at the door. The cook came over and reviewed the menu with me. How is that for service? I ending up getting a couple poached eggs and fruit cup. The fruit cup was delicious. It had fresh blueberries, strawberries and banana. I am trying to stay away from the carbs. No toast or hash browns for me. I was sitting at the counter when there was an ordered decaf coffee. The waitress made a cup of decaf using instant coffee. I could not believe it. So much for a fresh brewed cup of coffee. I had to knock down the rating down from 5 stars to four because of this. I would return for breakfast. I just would not order decaf.

Quick, delicious, friendly. Great ambience. Classic old school diner experience that's very hard to find today.

Our favorite place to sit is at the counter because it's incredible to watch them work so perfectly together. We have a great time every time we're here. My #1 tip: always get a grilled muffin. Tip #2: ask for the home fries well done. You can't go wrong with anything here! I'm a sucker for an omelet but today I spotted someone get a club sandwich and I will absolutely need to try that. The service is impeccable. They are cash only but I'm pretty sure they have an ATM in the corner! A must visit.

    Homemade corn muffin. Tasty!

The menu says fresh, healthy, etc. etc. the only thing fresh about that bagel was the avocado and maybe the egg. Pretty sure it was Oscar Meyer "bacon" or some other form of microwavable bacon (which isn't really bacon ). Which is totally unacceptable in this day and age. And the sweet sauce they put on it was horrendous. My stomach hurt the entire day. If you're not going to use quality bagels and quality bacon, you should not be charging almost $13 a sandwich. your menu should also list the ingredients line by line. I asked the cashier what was on this and he did not mention a disgusting sweet sauce. It's no wonder there's a line out the door for the café down the street and two people inside this café. Although I did not get anything else, but that sandwich, I will not be returning based on that alone. You should be ashamed for even serving that.

Everything I've tried here has been tasty. They have limited seating so I've seen it completely full if someone brings a larger group through the doorway. They have a bathroom that is keypad locked so if you've made a purchase just ask them for the #. The Hokkaido Toast sandwich was light and airy. The signature cream does make it on the sweeter side. It paired so well with the rose matcha latte which I've ordered twice now. The pastries and cakes look so tempting too in the display panels. I don't typically drink coffee but if I ever get there early enough I'll try the Crème Brûlée, Vienna Pistachio, or their signature latte. As a tea lover they also have some additional retail items for you to browse for tea steeping and gift sets. The only downside and maybe that's what makes it not as crazy busy on weekends as Tatte is that I want even more options. You can also order whole cakes too if one slice isn't enough. When it gets warmer I will try some of their smoothies and chilled drinks over ice!

For food we ordered the eggplant sando and the chicken piccata sandwich. While both tasted good, I was surprised at how much more I enjoyed the eggplant one. The eggplant was breaded well and crispy without feeling too heavy on oil. The rest of the sandwich with arugula and roasted red peppers also felt fresh. The chicken sandwich was also good with thin layers of chicken, and flavored well. However I liked the chicken where as for eggplant I felt the sandwich as a whole worked well. While busy, it still feels like enough movement of groups that you can easily find a seat. The staff is also very friendly making it a neighborhood spot I would definitely come back to.

The bacon was crispy, broccoli roasted with seasoning, a perfectly cooked over medium egg all on a brioche bun. There was also spicy goat cheese spread on the slider, however there wasn't a lot there to taste it with every bite and it certainly wasn't spicy. I would have loved more of it, because the bites that did get some were absolutely delicious in enhancing flavor with the egg. The sandwich itself is larger than expected, bigger than a typical slider which was a pleasant surprise. I also ordered an incredible Apple Cheddar biscuit on the side. It was freshly made, buttery, and had little apple chunks in it. Great experience and I highly recommend visiting if you're looking for quick and convenient breakfast, with a great quality and fair price!
