I've only gotten take out and delivery from Uber Eats for this restaurant. Both experiences were positive. We get the box B with sashimi and sushi, and it's a satisfying meal for two to three people. The sashimi is thick cut and quite fresh. The rolls are average, and they dont fall apart when picked up by chopsticks. The packaging is quite nice as they place the sushi in a box inside a gift bag. I believe they have all you can eat sushi, and I'd want to dine in one day. Their parking lot is a little bit of a nightmare since there's limited parking and the space is narrow. Even for take out, I had to wait about 15 mins before finding a parking spot and there wasn't enough space at the front entrance to leave the car unattended for several minutes. Another Review for this spot because I came back this week and it is honestly one of my favourite sushi spots. For an AYCE place, it actually feels pretty fancy. The vibe is modern and well put together, but still chill at the same time. The interior is clean, sleek, and nicely designed and doesn't feel chaotic. I went on a Tuesday evening and it was around $42 for AYCE, which I think is pretty reasonable for the quality and variety you get. It was surprisingly busy for a weekday, which just shows how popular it is and how good the food is! One of my favourite parts is how you order everything on an iPad, and then the food gets brought to your table by a little robot. It's such a cute touch and it makes the experience feel a bit different. On top of that, the service is great. The servers are attentive and they also walk around with fresh skewers and different hot items that you can grab, which are always delicious. It's nice because you get to try things you might not have ordered yourself. The variety of food is huge, a lot bigger than most AYCE spots I've been to. Tried this place out when i visited the area, and since there i have been questioning why they didn't open one in my hometown, lol.... One of the best buffets restaurants that i have been to with many selections of sushi and thai food, everything was so delish and nicely presented. Our expectations were higher about this place comparing with Ichiban or 168 Sushi, as those are our usual go to place. The ambience is nice giving an upscale vibe. Service is also wonderful. However some of the food items fall quite behind in quality. The hash brown bases of mini crab pizza, and avocado pizza were too oily. Fried wonton were too oily as well and the size was ridiculously small. However, the mango salad, torched spicy crab roll and cheese crab wonton were good. Peanut curry beef was nice in rich gravy. The robot server delivered foods from an inconvenient position (at least for our table). I had to get up from the chair every time to get the foods as it was unreachable from both the chairs (it would be reachable if the robot just rotated 90 degrees). We had someone with extreme dietary restrictions (gluten and lactose intolerant) and the server helped them order specific meals that the kitchen custom made for them. It was so nice and perfected. The food was excellent, all of the perks of an all you can eat with the feel of an upscale restaurant. Various meat and seafood cut at the table, all were very tender and flavourful. I often get their sushis and sashimis along with tons of fried appetizers like tempura. I also love their Thai curries they offer my favs are the fish and beef ones. Their selection of food items is endless. Definitely something for everyone. Like most places you order on a tablet and most items come out via robots which is pretty cool especially if you are going with kids. I recently returned to Wind Japanese & Thai, bustling as ever. The wait for two people with no reservation was 20min which wasn't bad on a Saturday. It was my first time sitting in the bar and some foods were served by a person and some by a robot. What was new was the menu, it had a new look. It features some new items like squid sashimi and other things removed like squid tentacles and replaced with the pre-made - no longer made with handmade love. The service was great but the menu was reduced overall with stuff that was made by the kitchen changed to pre-made frozen. The menu has expanded with rice rolls while kabob items like the beef was pre cooked, previously refrigerated and seared and assembled on a kabob stick. Or the beef ribs were tasting old because they were previously cooked and microwaved. The overall quality of food went down- because the location is precooking them like Burger King and microwaving it before delivering to the table. Other concerning handling practices, I could see the server constantly dropping the slips that would help them find the table- they would pick it up from the floor and placing it back on their serving plate where they continue to touch the plate to deliver to the table - hygiene problems. read more

This has to be my favourite AYCE sushi chain. It may be pricey but it's definitely worth the value with the amount of items you can get. The food quality is also up there! My favourite dishes are: Tempura shrimp - this comes with sweet sauce and the batter is really good. Salmon Teriyaki - my go to if you aren't a big fan of raw fish! We were pretty disappointed with the quality of the wontons and gyozas for they were lacking in the taste department. They just tasted bland and we thought it could've been better. The grilled chicken satay however we thought was really flavorful and pleasing and just satisfying! For our mains we chose the butterfish oshizushi and the cashew chicken. The butterfish oshizushi we were really impressed with! It was just exploding with flavor. All the ingredients went really well together. The cashew chicken we thought was decent everything blended really well together in the dish which was really good! Our experience with the waiters and the service was wonderful. Our waiter was polite and checked in on us once in a while to see how we were doing which was nice! I enjoyed the steak, it was tender. Really liked the grilled pineapple, it was crispy and juicy. Torched fish was very fresh and tasty. Ate a lot of torched salmon, tuna and squid. Would have liked to try an assortment of rolls but the person I dined with had many restrictions. The restaurant is massive. We had made reservations in advance. Without them, the wait would have been 40+ minutes. Went late and the place was packed! Robots serve the food. Sometimes they get it wrong. We had a couple of instances where they went back and forth searching for tables. I didn't like the concept as the food is exposed. We had a blip in service when two waiters mixed up our orders and brought out more food than necessary. Nevertheless, made do and tried to consume everything without being wasteful. I'll return for other dishes as there were plenty of selections I wanted to try and couldn't. Drinks are an added expense, which sucks when you're already paying so much. Was in the mood for some sushi while in the Mississauga area. Considering the Yelp reviews I decided to give Wind Japanese & Thai a try. I arrived for a late lunch early supper around 3:00 pm. I inquired with the wait staff and was advised I could have either the lunch or the dinner menu. As I was mainly interested to have sashimi, I decided on the dinner menu and the waitress was able to just switch over the tablet menu to enable my preference. Hadn't ever been to an AYCE place that offered this and so was pleasantly surprised by having this option. With regard to the food most all was nicely prepared with good flavors. The only criticisms I would have would be that some of the sushi maki rolls that were served, were too large and couldn't be eaten politely in a bite with chopsticks, especially so for the spider roll. The udon seafood was lacking in flavor and seafood in general, had more carrot than seafood. Perhaps chef would consider using some of the seafood trimmings to make the broth. Also was disappointed that there wasn't any tuna offered anywhere on the menu. Anyway all in all quite a good meal. Would give this place a 3.8 rating if I could as I don't think it's quite as good as some of the other AYCE sushi places I have rated with 4 stars. read more

I have been craving to try come to this place since last year and finally I was able to dine last Sunday since we were down from Niagara area. Compared to other AYCE sushi places they have an extensive selection of choices and with a twist of Brazilian buffet. As we were immediately seated a waiter carrying a spit of grilled meats from beef chicken and pork serving down your plate while you try to scan the menu on the tablet and thinking what to order. Fish quality is ok but not the best, avoid ordering fancy sushi dishes for they came with some mayo based sauces that makes you full easily. Im disappointed how they serve the salmon sashimi instead of getting a perfectly sliced pieces I got a slab. They also have a fancy robot server which I forgot to take a photo. I would give it another try and this time I will try to make better choices.
