    Grilled pork ribeye
    Alexis C.

Stopped by at random after a movie date and was very glad I did. We started with the southwest eggrolls, which were delicious. Then got margaritas - you get to pick a flavor add on for 50 cents. I got pomegranate and it was so good. For entrees, we got the grilled pork ribeye and the red fish. The grilled pork was moist and perfectly cooked and seasoned. That peach chutney could go on just about anything. The red fish was also cooked well and seasoned well. The crawfish sauce had just the right amount of heat. The sides (mashed potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, and garlic bread) were all good as well. The service was good. There were sports on at the bar and a few people scattered about but it was a nice, quiet meal. They had good music playing as well. I would definitely spin the block on this one.

Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. It was really good.

The Philly cheesesteak was great. Can't see much cheese in the pic but it was there. Would return & try more options.

    My fave salad

I been here 4 times ( I DoorDash them all the time) amazing food great prices... cocktails "to die for" but definitely can cut the tension in the air... whites definitely set on one side blacks on the other each time and the waiters were more attentive to the other tables more then our side. I had the firecracker shrimp ; Cajun pasta; Cobb salad (favorite salad) ; boudin balls; rib eye steak ; all the side items or good... and all the sandwiches and soups. Amazing amazing ... I only gave them a too because the "jim crow" vibe‼‼‼

Will definitely return for another round of good food and drinks! My bestfriend and I went for lunch we both ordered something different and both were pleased with our meals. I would recommend and will be returning

    GUARANTEED GRATUITY

Lousy Service!!! I got my food 40 mins after my husband had finished his plate. I ate some of the appetizers NOT knowing it would be my Lunch Entree. GUARANTEED GRATUITY meant see you later. Not one refill. Not one concern nor one care if I received my food or anything else. 20% GUARANTEED GRATUITY!!!!! Cold food and Cold service. I wish I could have given a Zero. Not 2 seconds after I said, just keep the food, did my cold SEAFOOD COMBO come to the table. SO, noooooobody saw it sitting there. The restaurant was NOT packed at all. This was the 2nd time this has happened. I have learned my lesson.

It's a trek to get here but worth it.

I found the quesadilla burger to be 'just okay'. It really needed the salsa to make it good. But the portion was large enough to make 2 meals for me. The beer i ordered was pretty good. I recommend it. If you're the adventurous type you should enjoy it too. The ambiance was enjoyable. Our server was great. Hubs doesn't like trying new places, but he enjoyed his meal. Best burgers in town. Always excellent service. I had the breakfast burger for brunch today and I could only eat half. Generous portions.

Great new place in the woods off the Interstate near Shreveport. The food was quite good and Kristy, the server, was charming and helpful.

The service at both places is what really stands out--attentive, polished, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. It's the kind of hospitality that makes the entire meal feel effortless. The food more than holds its own as well. Everything is thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and clearly built around high-quality ingredients. Each dish feels intentional--balanced flavors, great textures, and the kind of attention to detail you immediately notice. Heron offers a refined, memorable fine-dining experience, while Mae and Company brings that same level of care and execution to brunch. Different styles, but the same commitment to doing things right. In a city with endless options, both places stand out. Go for brunch and see for yourself.

Brunch available on Saturday and Sunday from 11 - 2:30ish. Regular menu available as well. Local beers on tap. I would not recommend the Bloody Mary. It was more horseradish than tomato flavor. Pale red color was a dead giveaway. No traditional garnishments. Just a lemon and lime wedge. The food was ok. Poblano pimento cheese was rich. Not a ton of flavor. It came with beignets. Beignets were a little flat. I would have preferred pita chips or something more sturdy. The rockytop oysters were very good. Charbroiled oysters with cheese and bacon on top. The Hot Fish Sammy was the perfect size. It was made with red fish. The onion rings were ok. No flavor in the batter. The remoulade was good. They had plenty of options on the menu. Burgers, wraps, salads, fried pickles, pretzels, etc.

Lots of mainly fried fish options, with a few grilled available as well. Fried Catfish! Wonderful proper crisp but light crust on a best ever thick filet light steamed with great flaky large filets. Shrimp really good and sides and gumbo are just right. Parking looked full but plenty of table space still available inside. They are known for very prompt service and food, so they apologized when it was going to take 10 minutes as they had just turned in orders for 2 parties of a dozen. Prices are quite reasonable, getting homemade quality for just about a dollar over commercial chains, with plenty of food on the plate. Unsweet tea was just brewed and better taste than you would expect... Worth the extra short drive around town to get there, and quite fine staff as well. Try it, you'll like it.

However, the overall experience was very disappointing, which is unusual for me because I have eaten here many times in the past and have never had a bad experience until now. We were seated, and our waitress initially greeted us and brought drinks for me, my daughter, and my friend. After that, service became difficult. It took a long time to find our waitress when we needed refills. Eventually, I had to get up myself, and another server from a different section was kind enough to bring our drinks. When the crawfish arrived, they were extremely small for the amount ordered (three and a half pounds). They were not hot--only warm--and very wet, almost as if they hadn't been cooked long enough. It honestly felt like we received the bottom of the barrel. By the time we received the check, I was extremely disappointed, especially considering the amount of money paid. I'm not sure what was going on that night, but this experience did not meet the standard I've come to expect from Crawdaddy's. I truly hope this was just an off night, because this visit was not the Crawdaddy's experience I've had or expected in the past.

I don't think that I've had a single menu item that I did not like. My two favorite things are the "Steve Roll" which is a fried sushi roll, and the "Walnut Shrimp" I also love the combination Lo Mein, abd the spring rolls. Every time I place an order, we inevitably get at least one of these items I just mentioned. The service is always great as well. They are always very polite and friendly whether we are dining in, or just picking up a takeout order. The portions are quite large in my opinion. I've been to Chinese places that did have larger portions, but the food wasn't nearly as good. Here the food is awesome AND the portions are above average in my opinion. I ALWAYS have leftovers for lunch the next day.

I ordered a lot, so the bag was packed tightly with several knots. Since I was super hungry, I pulled out the sushi in the car. My spicy tuna roll was made with absolutely zero spice. Bummer. I enjoyed the ragoons though. I finally made it to my hotel, showered, put on pajamas, and was ready to eat the rest of my order. No fork. No chopsticks. Ugh. My hotel didn't have a restaurant so I exhaustedly had to determine how bad I wanted to eat dinner at all. I ate two or three pieces of the General Tsos Shrimp like it was finger food. The pieces of shrimp were large, but the entire dish (shrimp and broccoli) sat in a container filled with liquid/sauce. I prefer crispier pieces, but they were all soft because the food was swimming. Ugh. Since the rice didn't look too appetizing and I didn't have utensils anyway, I tossed it all. A little extra care to make the spicy tuna spicy, drain the dish before packing it, and adding utensils would have changed my entire experience.
