Really, this should be a solid 4.5 stars. Windsor Asian Bistro has become my top three (as far as sushi) go to within 30 min of me. Food was delicious, customer service perfect for me (not overly talkative, didn't check on us every 5 min, etc), and oh my the bathroom smelled so good and was the cleanest and most updated I've seen in a very long time. Kimchi soup, tasty with plump scallops and shrimp, but extremely spicy so I actually couldn't eat it. I would like to order again and ask if the broth can be tamed. Bonsai Tree, delicious and the cucumber made the roll so fresh but did overpower the other ingredients. Eel avocado roll was the least exciting, but I also don't eat eel very often. The sauce was great and wasn't as sweet as I expected. Spicy scallop roll was my favorite! The spice/heat, crunch and freshness of the scallop was spot on. Windsor roll, even though it had a lot going on, you could taste the individual fish, it was very good. I did chomp on a small crab shell, so that caught me off guard and I was hesitant to finish the remaining rolls, but did anyway :-) I will certainly return to try more menu items! read more

This is a great little place that I never would have noticed, at the end of a strip mall. The hotel I was staying at had their menu at check-in, and I decided to give them a try after reading good reviews. I sat at the bar - it was well lit, good for reading and enjoying my food. The server was attentive, and my sushi arrived quickly. The owner stopped by to check I was happy with the food and service - and I assured him I was. I discovered this restaurant on yelp, while I was trying to look for good food to grab after work for dinner. This restaurant is just down the street from my work place which is pretty neat. I was a bit skeptical of how the food would taste due to the types of food they had on the menu, Thai, Sushi, Chinese, Korean. So I ordered takeout and decided to get the Thai red chicken curry and the spicy orange chicken for my bf. They came in very large portions. I was amazed at how good the Thai curry tasted, almost just like how they make it at Thai restaurants but less spicy. I liked my entree a lot. My bf was surprised as well with his orange chicken, he really enjoyed it. I will def be back with my bf to dine there instead and try other items on the menu. read more

This place is AMAZING! My man & I went here for Valentine's Day because it was right near our hotel & I still can't believe how good it was! It was busy but we still got treated with remarkable service. I had no complaints. We sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait for a table. We ordered a scorpion bowl for 2 as our drink & let me tell you...these bartenders do not play. This was the strongest bowl I've had & it was still yummy like juice. Everyone was turnt at the bar on Valentine's Day! We ordered calamari, a sushi roll, & some hibachi. Everything was simply delicious! The little sauce they put on the calamari is sooo good. One of the few good places left to eat in north Windsor. Sushi is fresh and trust worthy. The place can get crowded but pretty well organized and the owner and waitresses are generally friendly. Most of the food is pretty decently priced and they seem to have meals to the liking of all. read more

We had a really great meal here. Windsor California roll was beautiful and delicious with a topping of caviar and edible gold! We also ordered the chicken pad thai which was very good and the Windsor Box dinner with shrimp and vegetable tempura. The tempura was very crispy and fried just right. It's a very relaxing atmosphere inside with a full bar that is up a few steps on one side. Our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. Was so happy we ordered from here. Food was excellent. We had it delivered to our hotel room. It arrived nice and hot and well packaged. I can't say enough about how delicious it was. We live in rural New Hampshire and good choices for eating out are limited. I love Chinatown in Philadelphia and this food was right up there with the selections we have had there. Came here twice while in the area on business and had a great experience both times. There is a selection on the menu for everyone's tastes - Sushi, Thai, Chinese - and there really is just a very extensive menu! Their prices are good enough that you can get an appetizer and an entree for under $20 before tax. A plus side is that they have tons of gluten free options too! I'm not celiac so I can't comment on their kitchen conditions but I had no issues being gluten intolerant. The second time my party sat at the bar with great service and attention from the bartender. The recommended drinks are the ginger pear martini and mango martini. I chose the mango martini because the mango purée is made in house. No regrets. Thanks Stephen! Also thanks to all the staff and the owners for their excellent service! They seem to have and know all their regulars by name. Great to see a family atmosphere and happy to support this business. :) One last thing: the atmosphere and decor is classy but comfortable and suitable for the "bistro" in the name. I placed an order for friends to thank them for my stay. When I picked it up they said they tried to reach me. (My phone spam trap blocked it) One of the orders was for General Tso - and he asked for some pork fried rice. They wouldn't give him the rice, because it doesn't go with General Tso. I asked for it on the side, which they then said it only comes as a dish, large size, which they then charged me $10 for a container of rice with soy sauce - not even close. The staff is wonderful. The service is always on point, I never have to look to get help. The sushi is excellent. I am a fan of the tartar appetizer. The house fried rice is excellent, very flavorful, far better than anywhere else in the area. On our last visit, I tried a Thai basil shrimp curry that was outstanding. We have been trying to support local businesses during Covid but Windsor Asian Bistro has lost our business completely. We placed an order for takeout and have been waiting for more than two hours. The people answering the phone cannot even give a time estimate as to when the order will be done. Part of our order contains sushi and we called to ask which portion of order was complete and only the sushi rolls were ready. They have probably been sitting on the counter for two hours... gross. It's great to see businesses doing well but cut your losses and stop taking orders of you can't keep up. Waiting 3 hours and no end in site. No apologies no answers no customer service. Take your business elsewhere. Also the there are so many people waiting for their orders and the owners are not enforcing social distancing at all. Looks like a covid cesspool. read more

Entrees are delicious and come out hot. They put a good amount of effort into their cocktails. Stand out appetizers include their tuna tartare, Dorito fish, and teriaki beef sticks. We stay away from the egg rolls and chick wings. Notable entrees include the sizzling and sauce dishes, where you pick your sauce and proteins ala carte. The curry sauces stand out but we have never gone wrong with any of the combinations. The owners are friendly and make us feel welcome when we arrive. Ordered the "Thai Pineapple Coconut Fried Rice" and was overall disappointed because the description stated it came with fresh vegetables and there was not a single vegetable to be found. The pineapple pieces were also very small and scarce bringing hardly any pineapple flavor. Terrible. Online order said 80 minutes and we called and they told us it would be done despite the uptake in orders. We decided to be patient and wait. Unfortunately they lied about how much they were taking in. Showed up and many people were waiting on orders for more than 2 hrs. They keep telling people 15-20 minutes. We just found out 3/7 dishes are done so a sushi order and meat are waiting out in the open while they cook the rest without knowledge of how long our order will take. We are still waiting in the car and it's been more than 130 minutes since we ordered. They keep lying to people about wait and they have no system or order on how to get orders out. People are waiting for takeout orders in the lobby in the same time it takes people to arrive, eat in, pay and leave. Not only that, with people angry in front of them in the lobby they choose to take orders over the phone in front of everyone and lie about the wait. Terrible. Yeah UPDATE: it took three hours to pick up my food. When I complained to the manager he asked me condescendingly what he should do. Guy, that's such a bad answer to a customer that lives near by and orders a lot. You should say you're not taking any more orders and taking care of everyone who has been waiting for many hours. And not even an apology. NOT ONE APOLOGY FOR TERRIBLE SERVICE. Not coming back. Lost a customer today. My company nearby often dines here for group outings and takeout and I will do my best to make sure they don't go here. 2ND UPDATE: got home and they forgot a dish. This was awful. They didn't even apologize when we showed up to get a refund and people that I saw before were still there. All in all it took more than three hours to get this resolved without an apology or any understanding from the business.
