avoid ordering food here unless you want to die laughing. $16 for a 7 inch pizza that you would think they would buy trays to fit the food. 7 pieces of sausage 5 pieces of pepperoni little bacon frozen crust. and i am done

The Windward Wedge

Windward Tavern is a bar & restaurant in Brick. It is a cute house looking building on the main drag. You park in the back & enter through the bar area. The bar area is dark wood and takes up the whole room. It is set up so that everyone faces in towards the bartenders. It is loud with stories being told and the tvs on. Perfect bar atmosphere. There is plenty of parking out back so no worries there. The AC works and the bathrooms are clean. Prices are typical of the shore area. We weren't greeted warmly but perhaps it was shift change or they were short staff or ? Regardless once we got seated things began to look up. The ambiance is shore boathouse bar type feel. The tables in the restaurant area are set nicely with white paper over a blue & white tablecloth with their logo stamped on the white paper. The menu has soup, salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, appetizers, seafood, etc. Something there for everyone. The wine list is large & there is a full bar. The server warmed up over time too. We enjoyed our meal there. The wedge salad was good. The salmon delicious as was the Cod Oreganata. The only truly disappointing food was the Arizona Chicken sandwich (so tough!) and their side of mashed potatoes. It is weird to find bad mashed potatoes but they exist. The Princeton Avenue salad with blue cheese, pecans, balsamic vinaigrette was tasty. All in all it is a nice place. I would go again

Margherita Pizza

I came here after a long beach day with a group of 4, and we were all pretty hungry. There was a bunch of open seating both inside and outside, but we chose to sit inside. It was fairly clean which I appreciated. My group started off with the calamari as an appetizer. I ordered the the Garlicy Chicken and one of my other friends ordered the Margherita Pizza. The Garlicy chicken was a decent portion and taste, so no complaints there. There were lots of artichoke hearts which was great because I definitely needed to eat my veggies! As for the pizza, this was quite disappointing. The crust tasted like a flat and bland cracker. I love flat bread pizzas, but it was so dry and tasteless. I'd skip the pizza here. Since we're not from the area, we likely won't be coming back. If you're hungry though and are looking for a place to eat, this spot isn't terrible. The service is quick and friendly, so it'll get the job done!

Oktoberfest

Came here for the first time and I loved it. They had an amazing Oktoberfest menu. The waitress was very friendly and gave. Great food recommendations. I need to go back so many great dishes on the menu. It was very busy but the wait went by quickly. The bar was very big and nice while waiting.

I ordered the cod oreganata. It smelled so fishy and was slimy. The taste was terrible. The vegetables were mushy. Told the waitress about it. Nothing was done. My dad's meal was good so We shared his dinner.

Not very consistent. Lacking in flavor for dinner items. Menu is a little boring. Room for improvements in food quality & presentation.

Food isn't very good and some if it over priced. $8.50 for a bar pie made on a tortilla is ridiculous.

Hreat local place to watch the game and have a few cocktails with friends. Drinks could be stronger though. Absolutely recommend!

We had a hella rad time chilling at Icarus recently…read more Sam was a fantabulous beertender; stellar knowledge with passion and enthusiasm + fun af to talk with + hella friendy and sweet. Thanks Sam! They have BEER SLUSHIES!! Highly recommend. So many great beers accompanied with excellent data on each one. Hooray for spreadsheets; they can indeed be used for awesome! Burger 25 next door delivers to Icarus for free. They have rad salads as well as burgers. Make sure to ask for condiments and napkins but if they forget Icarus does have napkins available on the first floor to the left of the bathrooms (which were sparkling clean fwiw). I wish they were closer to my stomping grounds but theyre definitely worth making a special trip for. Great prices and good happy hour as well. I can easily fully endorse their awesomeness. PS I heard there's really good Indian food right down the street. If Sam is there you can ask her about it, and remind her to find and try some Dosas!

They have been at their "new" Brick location since 2024. The Icarus Brewing Company's Mug Membership Club is a year long special that includes a free mug, 10% off drafts (whether you take it to go or enjoy it on-site), 10% off all merchandise, including clothing, tumblers, and glassware (that Feather Falling glass is mine!), $2 off the first pour of every month, and, to top it all off, a barrel-aged bottle of their latest release. They text my husband when it's ready, and he heads over to pick it up. Needless to say, he was a happy hubby when I gifted him this gift. Their wonderful crew staffs the taproom and they keep the place immaculate. The atmosphere remains incredibly relaxed with ample seating available, both indoor and outdoor. Special area for kids and doggies to burn off energy during warmer weather. Next door is a burger spot if you want something to eat while enjoying your beer. Every beer they offer is solid, with a wide variety to choose from. My personal favorite is Drinking Crayons.

Parking is great- free! Comfortable seats - plenty of room. Easy to climb stairs to the balcony -…read morethey are half steps. A mixed drink with a great pour size, and a bottle of soda was $12 - which is cheaper than most venues considering it was a full bottle and we go to keep the cap and the mixed drink was large. We saw "The Carpenters", which I saw a while back at the Algonquin theater. I wanted to see the show again because it was so good, but this show was like listening to the B-side of a 45. I can't even tell you how disappointed I was that they didn't play many hits. She sang covers from other artists and not so popular hits. I personally found it strange the way the show began with the guy running the strand, coming on stage with a piece of paper talking, and then having us stand for the Pledge of Allegiance. I have no problems saying the Pledge of Allegiance, but I just found the whole thing odd. I've never gone to any other musical event or show where they had everyone stand up and say the Pledge of Allegiance prior to the event. I also had a rude person seating us. I thought I had bought center orchestra, but it turned out that I bought center tier and when I told him I just wanted to look at my phone to verify what I had purchased because I thought my tickets were wrong. He got nasty with me and told me that's what your ticket said that's what you bought and I told him to just give me a minute so I could just look it up on my phone to verify and it wasn't like he had anything else to do or he was seating anyone else I didn't ask him to wait with me. I understood that my tickets were for the tier, but before I climb the stairs to the top, I wanted to make sure that I got the correct tickets from Will call, but instead of just letting me be, he felt the need to argue with me when there was no argument to be had, and him finally walking away, saying whatever. Other than him all the other people working there were great. This was just one experience but normally I never have any problems there.
