Once again great service and very fast response times to any tickets. Jose came by today to replace the lights in the Kitchen. One had gone out a while ago and we were using just one but it finally went out making the Kitchen very dark. Submitted a ticket a couple hours ago and before lunch time Jose came over with a smile and new light bulbs. He promptly replaced them and then made sure everything we needed was good and let us know if we need anything just to ask. I really appreciate all of the help I get from Jose and the rest of the maintenance team here at the complex. Thank you again! read more

Let me start by saying if I could rate the maintenance staff separately I would give them 5 stars. But I give the office staff 2 starts. More like 1 star actually but I'll throw them a bone. We just recently moved out and we got our final account statement and they tried to charged us almost $900.00 in damages that were noted as damaged before we moved in. I manage apartments so I know how it works. I would NEVER work for the Irvine company. When I called the office about the $900 in charges they stated they would reverse it and resend our final account statement and haven't yet. In fact I have emailed 4 times with no response. Legally they have to refund us within 21 days from move out and it's passed that now so they'll be hearing from our attorney that I work with. No sign of a check or even statement in the mail. Moving on to the apartments themselves. They have major issues with roaches (water bugs) but still. We lived in an upstairs unit so we didn't see them inside much, but they were everywhere outside and neighbors who lives downstairs has stated how many they see inside. And they're clean people!! In the 2 years we lived there the office has never had any resident events but they close at least once per month for staff events. Go figure. Rent is too high for what they offer. Parking sucks as well. With a 3 bedroom you only get 1 covered space and they do parking lot repairs every time I turn around. The laundry rooms were dirty since the porter wasn't around anymore. I stopped seeing the amazing porter and started see 2 women casually walking around on their phones mostly. I literally saw one of the women standing outside my bedroom window scrolling on her phone for 25 minutes. And she didn't look like she was on a break. The price of laundry keeps going up yet the machines are constantly broken. If you're reading reviews note how most of them are about maintenance because the office sucks!! I hope you look elsewhere and not waste your money here. Mr. Jose (maintenance) is the absolute best thing about these apartments. He's truly genuine and really shows he cares. Thank you Mr. Jose for all you did for the community. I wish I had an opening for him at my property because I would hire him in a heartbeat. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE. The office staff is by far the worst I've ever experienced. I drove 1,200+ miles to move here from another state, and upon arrival I discovered I was never sent the move in email with important information on how to come prepared to sign my lease. (thanks Jessica!) Thankfully we were able to still move in the same night. Several emails went unanswered for up to a week until I went into the office and addressed this issue. My children were called racial slurs and vulgar names by another child of a tenant and instead of the office handling this TENANT issue, I was told to call the police and nothing further was done by the office. I've had many issues with my rent. I've had a form be lost THREE different times which prevented me from paying rent on time. Be sure not to call the office staff out on their lack of communication and lack of professionalism because then you'll be on their "shit list" and treat you completely different than other tenants. Tenants they actually like are able to enjoy the coffee they give out to residents.(petty, right?) The only things this apartment community has going for it is their amazing maintenance guys. Other than that, the office staff Zach (who was transferred from another property due to his horrible attitude) Jessica, and the main manager Tim are a reason NOT to rent here. I've only been here since June 2023 and I'm ready to go! Don't get me started on the units themselves! The paint is so cheap you can't even touch the walls without leaving a mark so your walls will constantly look dirty! I'm going on day two of no heat (with three kids). They're charging $3800 + for units that haven't been upgraded in God knows how long. And The outlets in my kitchen constantly go out in the middle of using any appliances or using the heater they've provided due to my heat being out. I've had to flip a switch in the breaker box over 5 times in the last day just to resume making breakfast due to the electricity randomly turning off in the middle of cooking. This apartment complex is supposed to be smoke free but I constantly see tenants in the parking lot smoking cigarettes, the smell of cigarette smoke comes into my apartment due to a close neighbor smoking either in their unit or on their balcony and every morning it reeks of weed smoke right around my unit. I have a rare heart condition and any smoke can be pretty detrimental to my health. This place SUCKS. We are counting down the days we can run far away from this sh*t hole and it's sh*tty office staff. read more

The apartments are nice they just updated the pool area but you have to go online to book a time and can't do same day. Only will let you go once a week. Nobody at the pool but can't go. Been working hard to pay for rent would be nice to sit in the jacuzzi and just relax read more

been living here for almost 1.5 years now with roommates and i absolutely love the management and service teams here! Kenny helped us at the very beginning, aiding us with leasing forms, answering our questions, and providing pictures before moving in. Joey checked in with us for maintenance requests, which goes to show that they want to make sure everything is suitable for your living environment. windwood also completes maintenance requests (both large and small requests) very speedily. Mauricio responded to a request to fix a fridge within an hour i called in that the fridge wasn't working. even the service worker that you may see in the laundry facility or near the landscape (i never got his name) is very friendly. highly recommend this place to live! read more

After living 30 years San Francisco we decided to move Irvine CA. This was a big and a very emotional decision for me. Our dog which our precious family member had 2 surgeries end of last year in Irvine. He still needs follow ups so all of i decided to move Irvine. I never lived in So Cal but my preference was to move Irvine by the Pet facility. Honestly I was not mentally happy and prepared for moving. We made a long list for apartment hunting on 2 Sunday before moving and start driving. Our first stop was WinWood Glen and we walked in to the leasing office. That's where we met Brennan I think he is a property manager and he was extremely kind and understanding. He explain about the town and so many things also surprisingly he was patiently answering all my questions. Trust me he made us feel like home and just because of his welcome and kindness we decided to fill the application. After 2 weeks we moved here management has been so helpful with everything, even got email that if we need any help let the office know. Since last month I been to the office for few concerns and Ms Rina beautiful smile face willing to help and solving issues right away. Yesterday I call for maintenance to fix the bathroom lock and Izac came (such a nice hardworking person) and fix all the issues today. Oh forgot to mention on my apartment hunting list I only saw this place. I honestly believe it's the people who makes home, I could've find bigger better or cheaper place but I rather live among the good people where I feel comfortable and feel safe. I've been living at Windwood for a little over 8 years and maintenance has always been pretty responsive, but want want to shout out the team right now. Alex and Jose are really on top of it! I've had minor upkeep needed in my unit and they always are fast and efficient! Recently we had a nasty water leak and they were able to find the source of the problem and quickly got that taken care of for us, truly thankful for them! read more

I love the management here especially Malik who made the whole moving process for us very easy and smooth. He is a really nice and friendly guy. I really appreciate his attitude and timely manner response. Below are my pros and cons so far. Pros: 1) Enough parking 2) Very quite neighborhood 3) Lots of storage, decent size living room & nice balcony 4) Closet mirrors 5) Great management Cons: 1) I only have one. Bedrooms are next to each other with thin walls. I can hear my roommate talking on the phone in the other room. It sucks for us as both I and my roommate have TV's in the bedroom. It gets a little loud. This is just one down side that's why i am giving 4 stars. Overall great experience so far!!!! read more

The upstair Neighbour's noise of running/jogging and stomping is disturbing downstairs. When they start running with holding weights and dropping on the floor, again picking up and running from bedroom to living room for 1 hour-Neighbour dog getting stressed and barking that's disturbing. They don't care about other beings. After security's request to lower the noise, it was quiet for 15 minutes. But the noise of running continue as the daily routine. The most bothering issue is the way they jump,run, stomp without thinking of others. The ceiling and walls are not soundproof - it shakes like earthquakes that cause tv Antena loose the signals -can't watch tv. and sleeping is impossible at 11pm. I never had this type of noise from previous people who lived upstairs with kid. During the Summer time people smoke at the BBQ area that's triggering my allergy. I can't open the windows. Five stars for the maintenance team here at windwood glen! Today Mauricio came in to trouble shoot my heater issues. I set an appointment, he arrived on time with a great attitude. He quickly unclogged my drain, replaced my light bulbs and completely fixed my heater. In the past he has replaced my blinds too. He's very kind and gets the job done well! Why I put 3 stars not 5 is because parking is a nightmare here. I come home at 10 or later most nights and there are no spots available. Zero. How parking works here is for a two bedroom, you have two spots. One assigned that is under a car port and one that has a parking permit for any uncovered spot. Upon leasing I was explained that there were plenty of permit required spots available due to that policy. There is an extremely limited amount of guest parking here so most just park anywhere knowing it isn't enforced here (though they'll bs you and say there is patrol) This is beyond frustrating when after a long day you just want to get home. Living here is sitting waiting for a spot to open up or parking on the street cause you're over waiting. After speaking to lovely Rena upfront she reassured me they are working on it and I hope that's the case but I see no change. Here's a review saying tenants are frustrated. read more

Moved into apartment and it was supposed to be clean and ready, but there was paint spilled on the patio cement, fence and patio walls, the screen door was an inch too short - a mouse could run under. The dishwasher was new, but so cheap that it doesn't dry the dishes, and there was water damage on the master bathroom walls - they said it was repaired, just poorly finished. The outlet covers were upside down so you couldn't plug anything in. There is more, but I don't have room to write it all here. We have been in the apartment 6 months now and there is mold growing on the master bedroom and bathroom walls; our oven doesn't work anymore (we've waited 3 weeks for a new one) The master bathroom doesn't have hot water, our home (and two of our neighbor's homes) gets infested with ants every time the weather is over 80° - there is so many ants they even built a nest in a 6" house plant - I watered it and hundreds crawled out all over the kitchen counter. Everything they repair is half-assed. They paint over kitchen tiles instead of cleaning the grout, they re-caulk bathroom fixtures instead of cleaning, and paint over mold instead of repairing it. As soon as our lease is up we will drive away so fast there will be skidmarks. read more

Our garbage disposal began leaking and we made a service call. Fernando, the Service Manager, replied within an hour. He was super helpful, very personable, and solved our problem right away! He has a level of customer service that I have never seen in a management company. He even wore his shoe covers without me having to ask. We have been here less than a year and we are absolutely thrilled with Windwood. It is employees like Fernando that makes all the difference in the world. I am lucky enough to not need many repairs in my apartment so I usually see Mauricio around the complex on his way to another job and he always has such a great attitude. Today he fixed my cabinets. He was professional like always, and he fixed them in no time! He was amazing then and he's still amazing now :) Drafted review: I love it here! Mauricio is at the top of the list when it comes to great service. I placed a maintenance request because I thought my outlet was messed up but Mauricio not only found the root cause of the issue (the light switch was messed up) he replaced the outlet because it was a little wonky as well. But it's not just great service. He consistently has a smile on his face and is always in a good mood. He has been one of my favorites since I started living here. read more

I've been living in Windwood Glen Aparment since 2018. From the very beginning, this place fulfills all of our needs and try their best to help. Especially, when you request a maintenance, they're ready to fix the problems. I really wanted to mention that our maintenance technician Mauricio, always greet us with the brightest smile and he is professional. Everytime I request any repairs or replacements, he fixes quickly and never disappoints me. I could tell that he enjoys what he's doing as a technician, and he knows how to make others happy. I used to like Missy, Tessa, Christine and Brandan - all of these previously dedicated staff members. But Laura is jerking around- she's rude. I had to request to waive fees from my account and she refused to to do it . I'm leaving here for 8years - her attitude was very negative and firmly replied that she can't waive it - I requested again that she needs to talk to IAC Corp. office to do so. She did not waive fees. Then one week later, I went to the office and new staff member helped me with it- waived off fees. The maintenance staff is doing a great job. The rent is too high and paying for trash and outside water usage and all interior utilities that's very costly. read more

While the actual apartments are comfortable with fairly new and improved features, there are are/were several drawbacks that really made me lose faith in this community. 1. The community: I've lived in Parkwest before but there are definitely noisy neighbors here. Occasional screaming children, loitering teens etc. *i've seen the Irvine Police come by before also for some domestic issues D: 2. Parking: When we were considering moving here, one of the managers explained that parking was "generous" and never an issue. He gave us two parking permits (since we have 3 cars) but now they are starting "watch" the parking and enforce stricter regulations. 3. The "new" laundry facility has been completed but it was previously vandalized and a hangout spot for the teens. They fixed this now by having us use the pool key to get in but a washer broke on me for two loads of laundry and they never reimbursed me even though they said they would. 4. Our hot water stopped working 3 days in a single week. They did some kind of quick fix which again broke the next day and they had to replace the part. ALSO the maintenance guy was kind of creepy and asked me what my halloween plans were. He then asked me where I was from. I said California. He said "oh no I mean like your parents...what country?" Seriously? 5. Most importantly, there is a SERIOUS ISSUE of smoking that the management has yet to fix. I know it is out of their control, but our neighbors smoke sifts into our apartment and inhibited the comfort of our own apartment. We can never open our windows and even when they're shut it still gets through- I've had to start using my inhaler again. So if you are a non-smoker like me, i suggest TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. The managers and workers are nice enough but I really do wish they would see through with their actions. I don't think we'll be renewing our lease. read more

I had a horrible experience living at Windwood Glen last year. Granted it wasn't just the management's fault although their incompetence most certainly did not help at all. I suppose that's what I get for choosing a random apartment to live in with random roommates on Facebook, but hey... I was in a bind and I needed a place to live. At first my roommates were cool, but through some weird roommate shuffle we ended up getting a nearly forty year old woman and a late twenties something guy living with us. Us being four college kids. Of course, my parents were the only ones who made enough money to be guarantors. Of course, the management at Windwood Glen failed to mention that the older couple somehow wasn't cleared to be on the lease up until a month before we moved out. Of course, we had to have the older couple from hell who to this day I can't understand wasn't capable of scraping together $700 a month for rent, yet they owned a Wii and had the balls to bring home tons of alcohol. Management also told us that they couldn't ask the freeloaders to leave our place even though they weren't even on the lease; however, I thought they were the ones in the wrong because they failed to tell us that these people weren't even allowed to be on the lease for almost a year. Huge huge big mess. I agree with the other review as well, there's poop everywhere. It's pretty ghetto in terms of Irvine living. I'd have to shut my window a lot because neighboring families would have screaming matches with each other. Oh well, I guess you live and learn... and never let others know that your parents make enough to be the sole guarantors for a bunch of strangers. read more

Horrible apartment complex. Less than 8 months ago, I had one of the worst residential experiences of my college life. Windwood is more expensive than higher quality residencies and ... "ghetto" to put it bluntly. It's dirty, loud, and ill-maintenanced. By dirty, I mean that since dogs and cats are allowed, you find pet feces EVERYWHERE. In your grass, sometimes by your front door. it's disgusting. Someone spray painted furniture outside on the sidewalk and no one ever cleaned up the rainbow of colors left behind. I bet if I went back today, those stains would still be there. The carports are NEVER cleaned. During the summer, gigantic spiders spin their webs right on top of your car. So freaky... By loud, I mean 15+ obnoxious kids all practicing their rap dances in the laundry room, parents screaming racial slurs and profanity at their kids though the walls, windows rattling from the bass and subwoofers of SUVs as they drive by....I'm not kidding about any of this. One woman slapped her baby across the face when I was bringing groceries in from my car. Why did she do that? When it started screaming its head off, she didn't do anything... I heard that baby crying for more than five minutes straight, and even when it was on the other side of the complex. SO LOUD. And the apartments are not taken care of in the least. We had a faulty sliding door in the back. We called about it SEVEN times before we realized no one was ever going to fix it. We had a broken window, never fixed. We were practically driven out by all the invading bugs! There was a rip in one of the canvas awnings over the window of a neighbor. They ended up repaired it themselves! We eventually had to call a professional plumber to fix a clogged drain. No one ever came to fix the air conditioning (we called about this everyday for a month and tried to stop into the office before and after school, but nothing was ever taken care of) so all it did was blow hot air through the apartment during summer. Windwood Glen claims that they are open until 6 (7 on one particular day). If you call between their office hours, 99.9% of the time, no one will answer. 99.9% of the time, no one will return your phone call (even if you leave a message three or more times). 99.8% of the time, no one will be at the office during office hours. They always use the excuse that they are touring the complex when they really aren't...you can peek in through the tinted door and almost always see one large fellow playing around on the computer. If you move into this complex, you will have uncaring leasing office employees, loud and obnoxious neighbors, and no help to fix severe issues making your living conditions poor and unhealthy. You will undoubtedly suffer from pet feces left at your front door, ants invading your pantry through the windows, and clogged or leaky pipes, with no professionals to turn to in order to alleviate these problems. Avoid Windwood Glen Apartment Complex at all costs. read more

Just moved into WIndwood Glen a couple months ago and so far I love it! I think they just renovated the kitchens so everything is brand new! They let you choose a color and 2 accent walls before you move in so we had two of our walls painted a dark maroon/burgundy color :) CUTE! and well worth the price! We live in a three bedroom and all three bedrooms are pretty much the same size.. the master just has a bigger closet and a little extra space that could fit a desk... It's quiet in our area, for the most part... and it's right across the street from Culver Plaza: ranch 99, tea station, gas station, 24 hour, and a bunch of other stufffff :) I haven't seen pieces of shit everywhere, thank God. And I don't think it's ghetto at all? I love my new home :) read more

As many other people have stated, to put it bluntly: Ghetto. I'm pretty sure there's A LOT of subsidized housing here, though I honestly have not returned since I moved about seven years ago. Still, I had a horrible experience at these apartments growing up. There were constantly weird people wandering around because it's right next to the Incredible Edible Farm, my mom got attacked by the raccoons who would have babies in the dumpsters, the complex is like fifteen feet away from the train tracks, and there were mobs of people who would just hang around the parking lot with weapons for no apparent reason. The pinnacle of mon jeunesse here? Once I was watching a breaking news car chase while my mom watched the news and I thought, "Dang, that looks a lot like my house." You know why it looked like my house? IT WAS MY HOUSE. The police grabbed the guy practically on my doorstep as my family watched in terror. So pretty much a horrible experience all around. read more

I'll start by saying I waited a long while to post this because our experience was so bad. I've lived within irvine company communities since 2008, and have never experienced a place so overall just plain awful. Although I know this is lengthy, it is true and I would advise to read into comments before moving in. We moved in prior to construction and we're promised everything under the sun. New gate, minimal time out of the house, no intrusions for my dog, etc. Nothing delivered. The manager at the time volunteered to watch my dog during construction one time and I received an email a few days later with oops! Forgot! Their recommendation in the office for the intrusion on the dog was to lock her in the middle bathroom which was small and without windows all day. That is absolutely insane yo even suggest in my opinion. The leasing office is a mess, no one knows anything, and they went through at least 3 main managers in the less than 12 months I rented there. Emails went unanswered in over a weeks time, and when I confronted the manager directly about a bigger issue, I was promised a prompt 48 response and had to instead remind him a month later, followed by two weeks later again. The complex is nice after remodels but honestly kind of ghetto for irvine. There was tagging on the back walk ways, kids drinking and smoking in the parking lot late at night, and more than one neighbor just walking around smoking weed. Not to mention that the cops were literally dealing with a new or recurring issue 3-5 times a week. No exaggerations, ask a neighbor and they'll tell you the cops are always there. Also within the short year I lived here, there were two fires in the apartments. Safe right? Additionally, we really had to fight for our deposit here more than anywhere else, and while I had a dog, I knew 2 other people who lived in the complex for less than a year dog free who were charged for a full carpet replacement. They will try to charge you for everything and will be sneaky and shady about it. Best of luck if you choose to move here. My advice is yo go anywhere else! It's not worth the couple hundred bucks you might be saving. read more
