I've lived here for about 6 months now and these negative reviews are BS. To clear up one thing...ghetto.. in Irvine? Yeah right. One of the cheaper apts in Irvine yes, but still extremely nice. My apartment has brand new EVERYTHING...Paint, carpet, tile, and bathrooms.. And they are now redoing the outside of all the buildings. There's always parking too. Really nice place overall. I only have 1 complaint and that is that because of the residents. They are extremely quite. And I mean extremely quite. I've had the cops at my front door because we were throwing a "party" when in reality is was me and my two roommates sitting on the couch talking with the sliding glass door open (even the cops laughed when they saw what the situation actually was.) We're all working professionals but if you are a college student I wouldn't really recommend it. Besides that, I love the place. The staff is very prompt and helpful as well. read more

A few days ago and yesterday I visited Windwood Glen and Windwood Knoll. Tatriana and Zyler introduced me a one bed room with a nice view. The room was quiet even though it is close to Culver Street. Tatiana explained to my family about good points of Windood Knoll. Zyler showed me two bed rooms at Windwood Glen with upgraded and updated appliances in the Kitchen. My family decided to live at Windwood Glen, but unfortunately one hour ago somebody signed on the leasing contract so that I had to choose Woodbridge Pines, but I can not forget their kindness. Both of them wore nice smiles and informed me of a lot of useful information about apartments. I really appreciate them for their kindness. Especially Zyler stayed late until 6:30 to show me apartments at Northwood Park with a big swimming pool. I really thank him for his kindness and support. read more

Just moved in not too long ago, and I have to say I'm impressed. My floor plan is HUGE (and the storage space is incredible out on the patio) and very private. Neighbors have been really nice, and super convenient to the shopping center across the street-- Bevmo, Marie Callendars, Petco, etc. Maintenance issues get taken care of quickly, staff is professional and nice. Favorite part has to be how central the location is to everything, and how thoughtfully the layout was designed. (Great cross breeze, allows for a lot of furniture, lots of closets). Overall, nice little gem in Irvine. Could do with a little bit of updating, and a washer/dryer in-unit would be great, but for the price-- I'm not complaining! read more

I lived here during my last year at UCI. The apartments were very luxurious and the amenities were amazing! The rooms are bit small, but very affordable for broke college students or families looking for affordable yet comfortable apartments. The leasing office managers were always so helpful and accommodating that it made me very sad to leave the area! Shout out to Missy for being a genuinely sweet and helpful lady! I had a clogged sink and the heater wasn't working, so I put in a work order. Mauricio always came in the day I put in the work order and finished it in a day or two! It was a lifesaver since the apt was so cold. Mauricio was also really nice and made conversation. read more

Watch out for excess damage charges on move-out like Ian mentioned below. They have renovated the exterior and are now charging moving out residents for interior renovations like carpet replacement, even though it was normal wear and tear. Obviously, for the hiked up rent, they cannot afford to have normal wear and tear. But, they discouraged move-out inspection and did not show up even when one was scheduled. Be forewarned, even if the inspection is done, they say that the carpet vendors and the management determine the charges later. We had a good year before construction started and the maintenance staff is very friendly. But, we had to live through the renovation noise, privacy disruption and dust, which was not easy. Our bicycle was also stolen while the renovation was going on. read more

Put in a request to have my stove fixed as the burners started to not work. The office called me shortly after opening on the same dat and scheduled to have it fixed that day. I was expecting them to schedule it in a day or more so I was pretty pleased with how quick they could take care of it. Told me there is a two hour window so I chose 3 - 5. At 3:03 I got a knock and Mauricio was there ready to take a look. I see a lot of the staff around and all are very nice and friendly with Mauricio probably being the nicest. He came in and got right to work and now my stove works like it is brand new. Love how quickly not only the office handled the request but also how quickly Mauricio got it taken care of. read more

Recently I put in a pretty lengthy maintenance request, and Maurico came the next day and repaired (almost) everything quickly and efficiently. He made sure everything was in working order before leaving, and he is always so friendly. Only down side is the leasing office may or may not charge us for a leaking bathtub we had no control over. But that is yet to be determined. Overall so happy to know Mauricio is here to help! UPDATE: Brennan at the leasing office is the most unprofessional person I have ever come into contact with. Do not trust him with any thing he says. Get EVERYTHING in writing. After telling us we would be responsible for a repair that was not our fault we were told we could pay in portions since it was a pricey repair. We do EXCATLY what Brennan told us to do, only to come home to a notice saying pay or be evicted. I went to the office to speak to him, but he refused to see me on multiple occasions stating he was off site or busy. Spoke to Reena upon move out, tried to schedule a move out inspection...no one ever showed up. Overall NOT happy with my experience here, and am happy to be out of there. Parking is HORRIBLE they allow some vehicles to sit for YEARS not moving, but tow others. If you can avoid this place I would do so. read more

My go-to to Tech is Mauricio, he's always so very polite and professional. And there's no problem never too big for him. He's very patient and understanding with my mother. Do not live here if you place any value on peace and quiet or on the ability to be comfortable in your own home. This place is constantly under construction. For at least the past 9 months there has been one project after another, without a single break. From the hours of 8am to 5pm every single weekday there is continuous, extreme loud noise, including hammering, drilling, banging, cracking, and construction workers yelling to each other. Additionally, there are vehicles, construction equipment, and hoards of construction workers blocking the roadways and making it very difficult to maneuver around the parking lot. If you have pets or small children, you can expect them to be very bothered by the noise. My cat remains in hiding all day and only comes out when the construction has stopped. I can never open my window due to the relentless noise and the dust. I have been home during the day for the past couple weeks because I am in my final exam period and do not have to go to school everyday. It has been completely miserable. I have to wear earplugs all day and I cannot focus on my school work at all. To make matters even worse, I thought we would get a break from the outrageous noise on the weekend, but the construction workers showed up at 7:30AM on a SATURDAY! We had ZERO warning from the management that this would be happening. The absolute least that management could do is give the residents a reduction in rent while the construction is making life completely miserable, but they wouldn't even agree to do that. This is particularly unfair because we were never given any warning that this type of extensive, loud, obnoxious construction work was going to be happening. Had management given us the courtesy of a heads up, I never would have renewed my lease. Living here is so incredibly miserable and I cannot wait until my lease is up. read more

I love it here! Mauricio is at the top of the list when it comes to great service. I placed a maintenance request because I thought my outlet was messed up but Mauricio not only found the root cause of the issue (the light switch was messed up) he replaced the outlet because it was a little wonky as well. Let's be clear about this complex: It's probably about the third most "ghetto" complex in Irvine. But make no mistake, that still puts it above the vast majority of apartment complexes in general, including most of those in surrounding cities such as Costa Mesa and Tustin. There are one or two complexes in Irvine which are lower rent because they're much older and are awkwardly situated with no parking. Windwood Glen seems simply to have been chosen as the "pet friendly" complex, which drives rent down a bit for those without them (those with them must, of course, pay extra for pets). Other low rent features include no washer/dryers in the units, no garages, and uncontrolled hoards of street urchins using the parking lot as their playground. It's important to understand that, being the ass end of the Irvine Company property collection, the scrub managers start off there and get promoted to other spots as they become available (or are presumably let go). So the complex gets new management every six months or so. Some of them are good at what they do. Some are abysmal. In the two years I've lived there, maintenance has generally been timely and competent. I did, at one point, have a problem with a water heater, which wasn't fixed after several maintenance visits, which revealed a certain amount of incompetence in management. But remember; this is an Irvine Company property, and any issue that is escalated to the corporate level will light an immediate fire under the lackeys in the leasing office, and heads will roll. read more

Usually looking for the right apartment home is such a stressful experience, but Malik's customer service was phenomenal meeting all of our expectations and lifting all the stress off of our backs with his positive energy and nice humor. I requested for the repair of Food Waste Disposer in the kitchen, patio door lock and water tank of the toilet yesterday and the staff, Mr. Mauricio just came very soon to replace them all. But it's not the amenities that make this inviting complex my favorite it's the team behind it that have me ready to sign a new agreement annually with Patrick and Joey always readily available to answer any questions or overcome any new obstacles that may arise not to mention the skillful Gilbert and Mauricio fixing everything from a fan motor to a bent faucet valve I know that my family is always in good hands in this beautiful environment that I get to call my home. It's not just the professionalism that the Irvine co. name already carries but it's the people behind that professionalism that make this incredible developer stand out. The Irvine co. is a company of forward thinking individuals who have anticipated the needs of it's residents designed and executed a city made of individual country club and resort style neighborhoods complete with lavish amenities, lush vegetation and stunning inviting homes for thousands of people to occupy. I've lived here for less than six months but already love it. I haven't encountered any major issues. Missy in the leasing office is a sweetheart and won't hesitate to help in any way. Whenever I've had any minor issue with my apartment, Mauricio is always there to fix it. I even had an emergency with my shower on a Sunday morning and he was there to fix it as soon as I called in! Definitely give him props for working so incredibly hard every day of the week. While I did not live here, I had the opportunity to tour the complex and facilities along with the amenities they had to offer and was very satisfied with what I saw. Ultimately, I settled for a different location, but cannot find enough good things to say about leasing consultants John and Jamie. They were very understanding about my situation and showed exceptional professionalism through their prompt follow-ups for e-mails, quickness in getting tasks completed, and in general, making sure that I was finding a home that was right for me. If I am looking for a place to live in Central Irvine, Windwood Glen would be my first choice based on the location and level of service. read more

It's extremely loud, there is dog crap on every single piece of land there, and my place is swarming with bugs, which can only be "fixed" during work hours on Friday, when I'm...you know, working. The management told me it was "bug season" like it wasn't a big deal. I will say that the management has all been very nice. read more

We recently moved to Windwood Glen and we are very happy with our choice to live at this property! The staff is super friendly and welcoming including the neighbors that live near us. We've had a few small maintenance requests and Mauricio was super awesome and efficient. It's very quiet here too. We love that there are lots of parks in the area as well since we have a little one.
