Something I think should be updated: I do think that they should put a little bit more pictures and make it a little bit more inviting. I'm always a "pro plant" person for the atmosphere. Another thing is that I think they should have is plates for when you want to dine in instead of eating out of a box. My mother wished their was more indoor seating, but due to the size, it's obvious that that can't be done. Second, I am a working mom, and by the time I get home after being stuck in traffic, cooking is the last thing I want to do. Dinner is done, and I can spend more time with my daughter when I get home. Third, the food is really, really good. Ingredients are high quality and what I'd make at home if I had the time. Fourth, portions are awesome. We signed up for the deluxe, and I split my meal with my daughter (15 months old) and I am more than full. My husband is always full off of one meal too. I've had drivers who were on time, or extremely early..which can be a plus (unless you're coming from somewhere else and now are rushing to meet the driver...btw, sorry bout dat, so enjoy that $ tip). All the drivers have been professional and extremely helpful....especially since they don't mind climbing 4 flights of stairs to get to my apt. There's an elevator, but its on the other side of my building and requires several security key entries to get to my apt...great for feeling safe..but a pain in the butt when I have deliveries. Thankfully, I haven't had any major hiccups with this service..but I also know the difference between what to order within the grocery service, and what to pick up at the store myself. I also really appreciate that they recycle their plastic bags. I usually bring my own eco friendly grocery bag to the driver and fill it with my order (while simultaneously checking my order-(pro tip alert), and the drivers gratefully takes back the emptied plastic bags to the company to be recycled. Overall, I highly recommend for its convenience but double check your order and receipt..and if your driver was awesome, make it rain with a nice tip..

To start, I reached out to Chef Bernard based on the Yelp reviews to see if he could prepare a romantic dinner for my husband and I on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015. He was available and agreed to serve us. From the start, he was very professional and communicated well. He sent me sample menus with options galore. If there was something on the menu that I wanted mixed up a little, he had no objections. My husband is a very 'simple' eater so I wanted to know if the Chef could also prepare something 'simple' like Potato Au Gratin. Whew....he did and it was sooooooo good! He arrived at our home in what I call his mobile kitchen (because he had everything in it that one could imagine), introduced himself to us and got down to business. We had a few small plate items, entree and dessert. He talked to us while he prepared the meals and it simply felt like he was a friend. It did not feel weird or awkward having him in our kitchen at all. It was great! He gave us tips on cooking at he prepared meals and spoke to us more about who he was (in and out of the kitchen). Some of the items we enjoyed were: 1. Pork chimichangas 2. Cajun eggrolls 3. Peking duck rolls 4. Filet (cooked to order) 5. Potato au gratin 6. Broccoli w/cheese 7. I have had meal services with others before and this is by far the most skilled cooking of farm to table meals. I think it's a good value. One recent review I read was really not fair about "scam". That's just not true but I understand the frustration that led to a misunderstanding. I know the owner/chef was busy and working to try improve their marketing, ordering app, and communications. It's a small business so you just have to contact her directly if there is an issue and she will take care of it. I did that every time and I was patient because I want this good cooking to last to feed my family. Seems like great people. I've spoken to her and met the staff who deliver food to my house. The chocolate cake tasted like boxed devils food. We've had Guy Burgers on cruise ships in the past so we had high hopes. This was trash. Never again. Deserves 0 stars. This place wouldn't last a week if it were permanent.
