This place use to be delicious! I use to come here all the time as child with my family to grab some Friday night Chinese. After 20 years of not seeing this place, I decided to grab some Chinese. They do everything fast here, so please be on your P's and Q's. Better know what you want, better not ask questions, better know the size, and for the love of God, you BETTER know the cost! I ordered Sesame chicken, egg foo yung, and shrimp fried rice. And while everything I ordered was a small size and I looked at the menu to be sure of the prices--I noticed a 6.00 dollar increase when it came time to pay.I was pretty confused and even asked the lady taking orders. She completely dismissed my question and was like yeah, that's what it is. It's taxes. Um, does taxes make a 6.00 dollar increase in Hazel Crest?! We aren't downtown! It's just some greasy Americanized Chinese food we are talking about! I didn't get it, but I decided to pay my money and grab my food. Hoping that 6 dollar increase would be worth every bite. Sadly, it was not. My sesame chicken was flavorless, it just tasted like over cooked chicken in a sweet and sour sauce. My fried rice was pretty good, and egg foo yung (that I ordered for my Aunt) was actually pretty tasty. I am determined to find a better Chinese spot in the suburbs. read more

I order my usual to go because there still not opened to the public and when I got it home 50 miles away I discovered they added something different to the sauce it was sweet and terrible I called them and all they could say was bring it back and they'll refund or remake it I told them I live to far and didn't know when I can make it back up there. They more or less told me sorry but without the product they can't do anything! Terrible business I won't be back and suggest you taste your food before you leave the restaurant! read more

I went here based on the reviews and was completely disappointed. I got home and threw my complete order away. I ordered a shrimp egg foo yung lunch special with"shrimp" fried rice. The egg patty was missing the gravy and the rice was nothing but rice and after digging I couldn't even find the shrimp I paid extra for. I'm use to rice with scallions, egg, sprouts, and most importantly flavor! I have to be honest this was the worse Chinese food I've had. The picture speaks for itself. Y'know that Chinese joint that every neighborhood has with ultra fast & fresh food? The one that doesn't hit your wallet too hard but gives you a large portion of GOOD food? Well Wing Wah is just that. Lunch specials are served all day, with an extra cost of just $0.50 after 3:30pm. What's not to like about that? Their egg rolls are amazing (albeit a little greasy) & I've thoroughly enjoyed their beef & broccoli & fried rice. Service is typical of take out fare, & if you plan to dine in, don't expect it to be that of white table cloth quality. It's the neighborhood Chinese joint, not a swanky fusion place downtown in the city. And that's mainly the charm of it. Definitely will be returning to try other dishes! read more

I am Chinese and was looking for a Chinese restaurant closer to home. Decided to try this place and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the special Wing Wah Delight (Stir Fried Shrimp, Chicken, Pork, Vegetables) which comes with Fried Rice and Beef Kow (Stir Fried Beef, Vegetables). I think the order came with steamed rice. Tasted decent and the portion was a great value for the price. The kitchen behind the clear plastic counter looked very clean, the cooks and cashier were all wearing masks. The only thing that could be better is the Fried Rice which seemed hard and not as soft and moist. Perhaps too much oil or undercooked rice. Would think more veggies will improve. Looking forward to trying other menu items when I have the chance. read more

This is a premature 4 stars as I've only eaten there once but I feel a three would not be fair. The food was very good and the portions were large! I ordered Singapore noodles and it also came with fried reason. It was literally so much rice we threw some away. Prices were pretty comparable to other Chinese places and the service was quick. Literally one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The best in the southern suburbs... hands down.. The food is fresh and well seasoned. They give amazing portions. And they have great customer service. They are frugal with utensils and plates which I didn't like. But, the food and service are so good that it's a mute issue. I have learned however that sometimes you have to get into the car and call ahead because the places near you don't stack up. Large portions and always fresh. I tried Wing Wah for the first time based on the recommendation of a friend. The food was hot and fresh and they give you large portions. Compared to other Chinese food restaurants they also have great prices. I ordered the crab rangoon appetizer, sweet and sour shrimp, mongolian beef and shrimp fried rice. I've had Wing Wah numerous times! They are fast and the food is always hot. I have yet to get a bad batch of anything! They're egg rolls are heavenly!!! I absolutely love the shrimp & combo fried rice. They also have plain wontons (with out cream cheese filling). I like those! The prices are moderate. I always get lunch specials when I don't have to feed too many. The lunch special is huge. They give you a full order of your entree item, fried rice, and an egg roll. The food is also very filling! A few bites and you're stuffed. The only issue is the orange chicken. It's a little tart, and isn't made like other Chinese restaurants. To get over this I just order the sesame chicken with light sesame seeds! Love this place!!!!!! read more

It's got some good food but they woman on the phone can't speak English very well. I actually got hung up on because she didn't understand what I was saying. She'll automatically assume you want the lunch special. and if you don't know what that is, she'll probably assume you still want it but haven' decided what you want to get in it. That's what happened to me, lol I just wanted some beef and mushroom with some fried rice. But I got the lunch special and then another friend rice on the side, etc. I have no idea how that happened as when I called back, I never even mentioned the lunch special. :T but the food and prices aren't bad, just be prepared to have a nice little language barrier when you speak to the lady on the phone. read more
