I live just 0.8 miles from the store but I ordered delivery because I just had surgery. The order took 1 hr 55 minutes. No updates to let me know what was happening and kept me on hold for 15 minutes just to let me know it was going to take another 10 minutes. The food arrived at 11.50pm!!!! Quite literally the worst place ever to order food from. If you're ordering late or ordering from POSTMATES... don't. They take the order and don't actually give you anything. Also they don't even answer the phone. Or when they do answer to get you to stop calling they don't even speak so you get off the phone without ever getting to ask about your order you never got. Honestly order from any other place then here. We ordered multiple times from here giving them the benefit of the doubt and each time they NEVER EVEN GAVE US OUR ORDER!!!! While the bone in and boneless wings are fantastic, the whole experience brings the rating down a notch because the atmosphere is somewhat sophomoric. First about the food. They do have a ton of flavors to choose from which is definitely sure to meet just about anyone's taste. The problem is picking the right flavor that suits. I've tried all the flavors and my favorites are Honey BBQ, Cajun BBQ, Texas Mesquite, and Sweet Chili. Garlic Parm, Citrus Chipotle are also very good as well. Basically they have a lot of good flavors! While their bone in wings are very good, the definite star on the menu is the Boneless Wings. For the atmosphere I guess it's to be expected given the nature of the establishment. I've been here a few times to order eat in and take out. I would definitely recommend take out. Definitely check your orders before you leave, the workers can be disorganized and disinterested at times, which can make for incorrect food orders/deliver. On the rare occasion that the food is out close to the estimated wait time, it's either barely sauced wings, soggy fries, and/or missing some part of the order altogether. We ordered DC-10 with honey mustard and sweet chilly, waffle fries with cajun, and tater tots (yes, strong carb craving). The waffle fries were amazing!! Cajun style made it slightly spicy but not too overpowering. Personally I liked the honey mustard but sweet chill was just ok, would probably try one of the dry ones next time (garlic parm maybe). Tater tot was standard, not much surprises there. This is easily the best wings place I have ever eaten at. Their honey barbecue sauce is some of the best sauce I've ever had on wings, and let me tell you I love wings. They are pretty incompetent. You have to basically order ahead, but sometimes they forget your order or just don't make it for like half an hour. They always screw up my order, forgetting drinks, sauces, celery. Additionally there always seems to be panhandlers in the restaurant and the staff does nothing. Gorge yourself on some of the tastiest Cajun Blackened boneless wings on god's green earth and then try in vain to pass them through your guts over the next 24 hours. You'll know the things this chicken does to you, but if you're like me, you still keep coming back for more. If there isn't a support group for this sort of thing, there ought to be. I've never had any major issues with delivery from the Boston location, though it's always been pricier than getting a pizza, no matter where you live. Selecting "well done" on your waffle fries doesn't seem to do anything. They'll either be perfectly crispy or dissatisfyingly spongy; whichever the fates deem you worthy of eating. You used to be able to get extra ranch without having to pay for it. Lots of stuff that is designed to shave a few extra bucks off you while you drunkenly fumble your way through an online order on a Saturday night. Overall, my gripes are minor. A 3-star review for a place that mainly delivers the sort of greasy, guilty-pleasure food that Wings has in spades is really just saying that it squarely fits its niche. Had they been gracious or at least understanding in defeat, I'd give it a pass.
