First time I've been to this Wingstop in Alhambra. I couldn't put my finger on it but I wasn't really sure what was slightly off with the wings compared to other locations. I'm not sure if it was the wings weren't as juicy as other locations or whatever it was, I honestly don't know. OVerall, it's not bad and it's not great. I'm sure I'll be back because it's close to me. They do take a while to make your order here. I would suggest to order your food online or call in before and then wait another 10-15 minutes after when they say your order will be done. My sister and I timed it perfectly where we waited a little bit and our order was ready for us to pick up. This place is alright. The wings took a long long time to come out but it was hot and fresh so I guess that's good. The lemon pepper wings was the only thing that was tolerable and decent. The Cajun wings- I did not really like their marinated sauce and also the mango harbanero wings were super saucy and sweet rather than spicy. All their wings are on the salty side but there's a lot of meat on the bone. Do not come to this place! I've absolutely love wingstop at all the other locations but this place left me feeling absolutely furious. I ordered online and set the pickup time to 7:30. I asked my fiance to pick it up on the way home and he ended up bringing back the food around 8:20. He told me that when he went to pick it up, they asked him to wait and ended up handing to him around 8:10. He stated to me that they were VERY UNAPOLOGETIC and seemingly did not care that he needed to wait. What was worse was that by the time he got home and we opened up our order, it was completely wrong. They gave us some sweet, spicy, barbeque, while we ordered garlic parmesan. FIRST VISIT: First occurrence was on my birthday. I wanted wings, so I ordered at 8pm. I was told it would be ready at 8:30. Upon arrival, I was told that they "see my order" but it hasn't been made yet. I waited an additional 20 minutes just to hear it wasn't ready, again. 40 minutes pass and I was told they are boxing it. At 9:10, I finally was becoming impatient. I went in and asked where the food was? The staff was incredibly rude and said we will have to wait. It has already been an hour and 20 minutes past the time it said the food was ready. I started to notice people coming in after me were getting their food. The lady next to me said she was waiting for two hours just to find out that her food had been sitting on the rack but told it wasn't ready. Her food was cold by then and she was upset. As she was leaving, the staff members were mocking and laughing at how upset she was. My order had started to reach almost 2 hours of waiting, so I lost patience and said, "This is ridiculous". Where is the food? I was told, " I don't have control over this." At the two hour mark, the food was ready. I put the order in at 8. I was notified food was ready at 8:30. I did not leave the restaurant until 10:10. SECOND VISIT: I decided to give them a second chance and placed an order for two. As we sat down to eat at home, we opened the boxes to find little to no sauce. I am pretty sure everyone can fry chicken. Customers pay for the different variety of sauce. Wing stop is neither good or bad. It serves up what tastes like fairly fresh but still slightly processed chicken. The tenders are better than at fast food joints but me personally...I am not a fan of the sauces. The sauces are either too salty or too sweet, not a single one of them is in the zone for me. The wings were a bit greasy for my taste also. They were hard pressed to get the order out quick so they went from fryer to sauces, to the little boat but it could have used a minute to drain off some oil. Their fries were good though! I really enjoyed picking off the fries from my kid's plate and honestly, the fries were actually good dipped in those sauces. The place is clean and employees are helpful but the food is just not that good to warrant a return visit. My kid likes the wings so I am sure we will be by again sometime but me personally, not really felling the place so I will have to pass, except for the fries. It seems like she's never worked in customer service before because she was at the cash register and she did not approach the customers who were waiting to place the order. She just was standing them and staring at them, waiting for them to come. There were customers waiting in line for over 5 minutes, but there were like 4 male employees in the back laughing and gossiping around. They did not help assist the customers in the front.
