SERVICE Came here for a redo from an order I did at another location and Rosie and Okayri were so welcoming. The manager at the other location let them know I was coming so all I had to do was tell them what flavor of wings I wanted. They were friendly and the food came out in good time. FOOD The wings were delicious, and so were the fries. I always get them with extra seasoning and they did them well. I got the Korean flavor and got some mango habanero sauce on the side in case I wanted a little extra. I didn't need the extra sauce though. AMBIANCE It was a cozy space with the tv on and seating. Great for if you're looking to grab lunch. There was no line which was even better. Awesome service here, and it's a new location so definitely check this place out.

Checked out the newest Wing Stop location in West Hollywood on Santa Monica Boulevard. They opened a couple of days ago and the place was busy when we dined there. We ordered the Garlic Parmesan 6 piece Wings Combo, and 4 Plain Crispy Tenders. The combo came with fries and a beverage. Everything came out of the kitchen hot and fresh. With the open kitchen we noticed there are no freezers; just refrigerators. The Garlic Parmesan Wings were so good. For us, the right balance of garlic and parmesan. The Crispy Tenders were large and juicy. Both the wings and tenders were made with fresh white meat. We had Honey Mustard and Ranch for our dipping sauces. The sauce portions were large enough for all of our food. We liked that. The only negative issue were the fries. Even though they were hot and fresh, they had way too much salt on them. Like, a lot of salt! Even the Manager noticed it was too much salt and said "that's not normal." We didn't even finish half of them and there was no offer of a redo or free fries on our next visit. Missed opportunity. Our Cashier, Evelyn, (name on the receipt) was super friendly and answered all of our questions. Beautiful smile and she had great energy. Thank you, Evelyn! We'll definitely be back. This location should do well. It's located on the bottom floor of "The Charlie" apartment building next to the Fire Station. Hopefully the fries will be less salty next time.

Every bite had so many flavors, perfectly balanced, and the biscuit itself was insanely buttery and soft easily one of the best I've had in LA in a long time. The restaurant is located at the Beverly Center and does not validate parking. The good news is that parking is relatively affordable at $1 per hour. Since I don't eat meat or chicken, I checked the menu online beforehand and found several options that looked appealing. Unfortunately, once we were seated, we were given a completely different menu. When I asked about it, our server, Lindsey, explained that the menu I had seen online isn't available until after 3 p.m. That was disappointing since I had already planned my meal. We started with the biscuits. They had a strong smoky flavor that honestly made me think they were baked with pork fat or in an oven used for barbecue. Lindsey assured me they weren't made with any meat fats, but the smoky flavor was definitely noticeable. I ordered the salmon with microgreens and a side of mac and cheese. My partner ordered the steak and eggs with hash browns, and we both enjoyed the mint mocktails--they were refreshing and one of the highlights of the meal. The salmon was cooked well and I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese, however, was a huge letdown. It arrived in a cute little cast-iron skillet on a butcher block, so the presentation was great, but the taste didn't match the appearance. It reminded me of boxed mac and cheese made with powdered cheese, topped with Parmesan just to create a crust. It was runny, lacked richness, and there wasn't even a hint of that satisfying cheese pull. Unfortunately, there were service issues as well. My partner specifically ordered his eggs over hard, but they weren't prepared that way. His hash browns never arrived at the table, and on the drive home he realized we had been charged for them. He intended to mention it before leaving but simply forgot. The biggest positive is the restaurant itself. It's beautiful, stylish, and has a great ambiance. Beyond that, though, I found the food to be average for the price. Even by Los Angeles standards, $42 for chicken and waffles feels excessive. Overall, Yardbird looks better than it tastes. While there were a few bright spots, the inconsistent service, menu confusion, and underwhelming food don't justify the price. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

I arrived about 30 minutes after they opened, and my food was hot, fresh, and ready in about 7-10 minutes. While I was eating and watching the World Cup matches, Marion, one of the owners, came over and struck up a conversation. We talked about the different Hot Wings Café locations, and since I live closer to the Sherman Oaks location, he let me know that another family member runs that restaurant. I love supporting true family-owned businesses, and you can genuinely feel that family atmosphere here. Even during the lunchtime rush, there was a steady stream of customers coming in and orders going out, but the staff never seemed overwhelmed. It was easy to tell they have a loyal group of regulars. The young woman working alongside Marion was just as friendly, cheerful, and gracious, whether she was helping customers at the counter or taking phone orders. It's becoming harder and harder to find this level of genuine hospitality, especially at family-owned restaurants. They made everyone who walked through the door feel welcome, and that kind of customer service is something I truly appreciate. I'll definitely be visiting the Sherman Oaks location closer to home, but this Melrose location made a fantastic first impression. Great food, outstanding service, and genuinely kind people. I'll absolutely be back.

Yesterday I was nearby so I decided to treat myself. I ordered an 8-piece combo with 4 Mango Habanero wings, 4 plain wings and fries. I paid extra for vegetables and ordered a fountain drink. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. The food came out lukewarm, almost cold. The fries were soggy, the wings were very small, dry, and overcooked the little amount of meat next to the bone was black. The Mango Habanero barely had enough sauce to even notice the flavor. What made it more disappointing was the price. I paid almost $27 for food that tasted like it had been sitting out and reheated instead of being cooked fresh to order. Meanwhile, I'd highly recommend New York Chopped Cheese & Lets Wing It in Mid City on Venice and Redondo instead. Their wings are bigger, more flavorful and the fries are actually seasoned. During lunch hours you can get wings, fries, vegetables, and a drink for $13 including tax. I really wanted Hot Wings Cafe to be consistent maybe I needed to dine in cause they have to be on their toes when you are in their face. The waitress we had went dining in was outstanding and the food was actually good then but after this experience, I will never order to go.

The woman who was assisting us wasn't very nice and seemed annoyed with us, telling us all we had to do was call the CC company and stop the card. We explained my friend would also have to get a new ID. I was wondering how something like this could happen, especially when they said it was given to a regular customer, when the bartender said he was hung over and didn't notice. They said they would get the items back and mail it to my friend. Once they got the items back, it took them months to mail it. Could have been a cool experience, except this place needs to really reconsider their staff. Dine or Dash? I wouldn't even give it a second thought and dash on down the street.

The restaurant is billed as French-Vietnamese and previously offered pho and related fare but did not have these options on our visit. We also got the French lobster roll ($26) a decent, but not groundbreaking, sandwich with a spicy sauce. One of our children got the tomato soup ($10) which was phenomenal - creamy and tomatoey - and paired well with grilled cheese.
