Since my first review, I decided to try two different sandwiches and see how they compared to my favorite sandwich, the Turkey and Provolone. I first tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch which is a grilled sandwich, and it was delicious. Obviously served warm, it had a generous amount of chicken and bacon. I was surprised by the amount of bacon on the sandwich. The Parmesan bread was very soft and fresh. There was a bit too much ranch for me, so next time I'll ask for less. Still a really good sandwich. I also tried the Roast Beef and Provolone sandwich. They were kind enough to grill the roast beef as I like my meat cooked a bit more than medium rare. Plenty of roast beef on the sandwich and it tasted great. As usual, very friendly and welcoming team that works at this location. They had no issues with special requests. The staff was super nice and welcoming but they do need to work on their handoff process and attention to detail. Ordered a club sub and one gentleman started it off, he got the bread and shaved the meat and it was handed off to another worker. During busy times I can see that being a very efficient process but in that handoff the worker didn't realize what I had ordered and didn't add the bacon onto the sandwich, this part I didn't realize until I had left so I couldn't mention it. The worker adding the toppings also put an overwhelming amount of oil and vinegar which flavor wise is fine but left the sandwich incredibly soggy which was unpleasant. They make delicious sandwiches and the staff is very hard working, efficient and courteous. I had the hot Italian sub and traditional turkey sandwich and both were perfectly done. My only objection is that the sandwiches are pricey and you can get comparable sandwiches at other places for a much cheaper price. Convenient parking in the gateway garage with 1 hour free parking. Street parking on LaBrea is a hit and miss proposition. The shop on the outside is presently under major renovations so it could be easy to see the entrance so look for the signs. read more

I ordered a #8 Mike's way, no tomatoes no onions. That means it should have mayo. I got mustard. It's supposed to have lettuce, of which I got the faintest sprinkling. It's supposed to have the vinegar and oil and spice blend there's none. And it's not supposed to have pickles and it does. Not to mention somehow almost all the lettuce is on one half and both pickle slices are on the other half. I had a decent experience at another location even though I will admit I only bought chips. Here, I actually went with an actual sandwich (BLT mini) and this was just okay. The crispy bacon I saw (and smelled) at the previous location was most ideal while here, it wasn't that crispy at all. I hate shredded lettuce but decided to take on for the team and as expected, it gets everywhere (yes I admit I'm a slob at times). I do like how they offer their sandwiches in different sizes (and the addition of a wrap or bowl option) and the rosemary parmesan bread sounds really good but I'll probably wait a while before I return since there are a lot of other places in the area to try. read more

I'm very picky about my bread. I can smell stale bread in any form a mile away and their whole wheat was very fresh, I was impressed and so was the rest of the ingredients on the sandwich. I love Subway Sandwiches, but since there isn't one near me, I tried Jersey Mike's cold sandwich and loved it! The only let down was that I specified in my online order for Cheddar cheese but they gave me provolone and forgot the salt seasoning. I rarely go to Jersey Mike's because I think they are a little higher priced. Yesterday I got an alleged Philly steak sandwich yesterday and it was made with hamburger meat - GROUND BEEF rolled into little chunks - so that made my choice even clearer. This is a bummer but I've now received three orders in a row without the right notes followed. I've ordered through UberEats and I've talked to the drivers each time via chat and they've been helpful and kind each time as well as apologetic when I've received my item w/o the right condiments and extras I asked for. With today's order, I had the same issues as before. I called my UberEats driver and he was super apologetic. He said he's not allowed to go into the bag to check (obviously) but that he did ask to make sure the notes were followed and the employee said it was all taken care of and extra items were in the bag. Well, they weren't. He also said he commented on how long they were taking as they didn't seem busy and my order had been received as they'd opened. Normally, you know what you're getting from Jersey Mike's. It's better than Subway and costs about $3 more. It's a chain, so most Jersey Mike's locations are the supposed to be same. That being said, there is some bad stuff going on behind the glass at this one. Why do I say this? Not only did this Jersey Mike's location give one of my friends really horrible food poisoning, but the location was closed for Los Angeles health code and safety violations a couple days later. Coincidence? I think not. I was standing there waiting for my order to pick up, but two employees were handling customers ahead of me.
