    Cider flight

My husband and I were staying in the area and drove by today and were intrigued by a cidery. Stopped in and were greeted by the kind owners. Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. My husband and I sat on the 2nd floor patio and it was a beautiful day. Got the Chex mix, baked brie, and wings. Cider flight was delicious the tropical chill was my favorite. Will definitely be back!

We originally tried Brewha next door, but it had zero vibe and the service was basically nonexistent--so we walked over here, and I'm really glad we did. Sarah, the bartender, brought the place to life. Super friendly, attentive, and just a great energy all around. Service was quick, and they've got a solid selection of draft beers. For food, we had the double smash burger with tots and the artichoke dip--everything was . The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked, the artichoke dip was ridiculously good, and the tots were crispy, salty perfection (I'm still thinking about them). Overall, great atmosphere, great service, and great food. We'll definitely be back.

Right after my initial review the restaurant went through a management and ownership change and a LOT changed. I came back once or twice after the new ownership and the food was in transition. I waited really, another several months for things to settle down, and started coming more regularly. The food is substantial, first of all. Mark, (owner), takes immense pride in serving quality food. Pricing sadly, in commensurate with Sedona, but that is life here in the VV. There is smoked prime rib dinners on Saturday, Taco Tuesday and relevant holiday specials. But again, portions can be shared or you've got two meals. Win-win Management and staff has changed, for the better from previous. Staff is friendly, efficient and professional. I live in town and we have few choices, but our choices are consistent and down to earth. The Roost is great for travelers and residents alike, who are seeking good food and atmosphere! I've been impressed with the sense of community the restaurant provides to all.

Disclaimer: few 5 stars...always room for improvement…read more.. So I've lived in VV coming on 4 years and have read numerous reviews on all the restaurants at in the area. I knew this to be a breakfast place, of which there are many, but someone mentioned on another board about where to get Greek food and Georgie's came up again. Greek/Med is few and far between and a really good place just closed in PV. That said, I went in today. Specifically for the Greek menu. Gotta say. It was really good and will satisfy your gyro need. I ordered the spanakopita and a beef gyro. I expected phyllo triangles but was met with a mountainous portion baked amazingly. My first thought was please don't be cold...it wasn't. It was nicely warmed and so full of feta and spinach it was ridiculous. While the phyllo topping came off, it was rich and buttery and flaky and messy. This was enough for 2-4 people. Presentation was blah but taste is what mattered. The beef gyro came in a nice hearty pita that stayed together. The meat portion was generous. There was a bit more lettuce than I'd prefer but it was fresh. I'd opt for additional red onion next time and the cucumber sauce was creamy and just really good. No overpowering flavors. I wish they had tabouli and hummus and I'd eat there daily, lol! Service was lovely, clearly so many regulars. Servers are wonderful and friendly. Decor needs updating but you're not going for ambiance, you're going for good, down home food. I will be back!

What a local gem! This is certainly a place overlooked by tourists like myself…read more We read reviews saying Sandy was the server to have. We were greeted by Sandy and she was quite hospitable. We were seated in her section and ordered. My friend ordered the number one of the combo meals. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon. The food came out hot and in large portion. The food tasted fantastic as well. The ambiance is that of an old diner. I'm not looking for fancy decor I'm looking for good food and I found just that! Sedona tourists, like myself check out Cottonwood for reasonable and fair diner prices! 10-15 minute drive. Hi Sandy from Ami, from Julie in MI :-).

Stafff at the entrance very friendly and waitress was also nice. Ordered chicken fried steak, hash brown, 3 eggs over medium, and side of biscuit. All that for $15.99 was a pretty good deal. Also ordered patty melt with fries. My chicken fried steak was pretty big but what the heck... Why they skimp me on gravy barely covered the chicken fried steak. Chicken fried steak was crispy outside and juicy inside but lacked in flavor. I was tempted to add salt but I didn't. Eggs looked rough but tasted fine and cooked little over medium. Hash brown was pretty goood. I feel bad that I didn't touch the biscuit and it was huge. I'm not a biscuit fan but it looked so dry and I had to left over gravy to taste it. So I have no idea how biscuit was. Patty melt was OK, but the bread tasted little burnt. Over all it was not bad and price was good but I've been to other black bear diner and had better experience. Oh well. . If I am ever around this side of town I will skip here for breakfast.
