The establishment itself was nicely decorated. The staff although friendly for the most part, made you feel a bit uncomfortable with the staring at you while you were trying to order. The burger had WAY too much mustard about $.69 bottles worth, the patty was paper-thin and burnt. I feel obligated to set the expectation...you order at the counter, it is served in baskets with plastic utensils, most food is fried, there is an up charge for almost everything (fries, using Visa, getting a water cup, covid price increase). This is not a nice sit down restaurant, it is expensive fast food. If that is what you are looking for, my family says the burger was good, the wings were acceptable, the philly and garlic bread were gross. It smells like a dumpster outside and the A/C barely works inside. They were out of chicken. The bathroom was yucky. But the cashier was very nice. There is a $2 up charge on every ticket for Covid... instead of appreciating that we have come to their business instead of a chain food restaurant they charge you more money.... they also charge you a service fee for using a CC when they are already charging you for Covid and most prefer cashless payments... We are local (Maggie) and love eating here when out this way. This place always has consistently good food. Burgers are excellent. Ingredients are fresh and quality picked. Prices are reasonable (think Five Guys type pricing on burgers and fries). We haven't tried the pizza or wings but they always look amazing- definitely will try those on a future visit. Great place for families with lots of children like us - seating both in and outside is plentiful with large tables. I'm not going to lie, I sneered at the idea of pizza for dinner, but wow, I am so glad I got out voted on this one. We got an XL Philly Cheese steak pizza, and it was amazing. 5 full grown adults, who had been hiking all day and hadn't eaten in 12 hours, filled up one just one pizza. The dough was fresh made, the toppings were fresh, everything was hot, and they didn't skimp on the cheese at all. 5 people ate quality food for about $4 a person. How much better can it get? Lots of options on the menu. I got a classic cheeseburger and it was really good. I do wish it had more lettuce, tomato and onion though because it was pretty sparse. I also was not a fan of the fries and they were a bit pricey for the quality in my opinion as a French fry connoisseur. Had pizza delivery to our hotel, Lloyd's On The River. The delivery driver was extremely pleasant. We were a little annoyed that it took so long for delivery, but we discovered we didn't get phone service, and they had called several times but couldn't reach us. This place would get a "0" if it was an option. Marked thru time on the door for closing. Lights were still on like Open and it is 4 PM. That would all be just fine if the Blonde female sweeping the floors would have been polite. When I walked in the door and she looked at me in disgust And said "Can I help you?" We tried this place twice while in Cherokee-- once for lunch & secondly for pizza ( because nothing else was open). For lunch the patty melt was okay, the fries were good but chicken sandwich was terribly undercooked. They were short staffed but getting the job done the 1st time. Second time was a disaster & we only stayed bcs no one else was open! We waited for over 25 minutes to order a pizza & girl at counter had to keep stepping away to deliver food to customers. Although posted hours were until 8- they stopped taking orders at 7:30 and turned folks away. I understand being short staffed but this is no way to run a restaurant in a tourist town in the middle of the summer. we will most likely never return read more
