My family have drove in from Arizona and had this place listed for some Chinese food. We heard great things however it wasn't what we expected. We ordered so much food, and I am glad we did because the portion was skimpy and the quality wasn't good. The steamed bun was hard, and the chicken wasn't flavored right. To be honest, this place is not even worth one star! Where do I start, ordered a half pan crispy chicken for Christmas Day as one of the main dishes for our luncheon. The chicken was dry and tasted stale and old. Anyone that tasted it at the party said the same. Two days later I called the restaurant and complained. They said it was not old but over fried and offered to replace it with another pan. Called on New Years Eve to take them up on the offer and expected a half pan. Instead of a half pan valued at $70+ they gave a small plate of cake noodle and three pieces of oyster sauce chicken and argued that is all they can offer and that we should have brought back the pan. Seriously, who is going to leave in the middle of a party to return crappy chicken more than 20 miles away? How about offering good food to begin with and this whole problem would gave been avoided. Very disappointed! I will not be ordering from this establishment and don't recommend them to anyone. read more

The beauty of Wo Fat Chinese is you arrive with no expectations. Then you're impressed with their menu. I'm in love. It always good and so affordable. They have no pretense like you find at places like Wakuda on the strip. That place is a total ripoff. Wo Fat is working class food for working class people at working class prices and it doesn't disappoint It's a twenty minute drive that I love to make because I know my reward. An update. I have not eaten here in about 2 years. But this past weekend, my son drove up and had his car so he drove me and the family to eat here for a big lunch last Sunday. We enjoyed all our old-time, Hawaiian style Chinese food and we all ate like pigs. They have "expanded" their emphasis on Hawaii-style foods, and now offer plate lunches and Hawaiian food like lau-laus too. My granddaughter ordered a chicken katsu curry plate with rice and mac salad for her lunch, while the other 4 of us enjoyed a 7 course Cantonese meal! We were stuff and my son took all the leftovers home with him to LAX. Yup; I really love this place! read more

We are new to the area and craving Chinese food. We read mixed reviews on Yelp so thought we'd give it a try. The restaurant has ample seating for both small and larger parties and is clean. I found it odd that the men's and ladies restrooms entry face straight into the restaurant seating area with tables placed in front of the doors. They should have some sort of barrier/wall or plants in front so you can't see people coming in and out and in the restroom while dining. They have Chinese and Hawaiian food on the menu. We had the beef broccoli with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The beef was chewy and had a dark thick salty flavor. Broccoli was crunchy and fresh. The pork fried rice was also very salty and dry, the egg roll was soggy. One of us had the lau lau plate that came with rice, kalua and cabbage and Mac salad. The salad was good but the lau lau was filled with fat and barely any meat and salty. The kalua cabbage was as okay. We also tried the chicken katsu. Came with rice and Mac salad. It was good in comparison to the rest of our food. We also ordered a side of Kim chee. It was an extra $4.99 that we should have saved our money on. It looked old like it was fermenting for a very long time and was very sour. We also ordered the krispy gau chee. The won ton on the outside was over cooked and tasted burnt when you ate it. The meat inside was tasty. Portions were generous and prices reasonable. Gave 3 stars instead of 2 as our server was extremely nice and food came out timely. Next time we crave this sort of food, we will venture into China town and try another restaurant. read more

Was sorely disappointed at the food, had the lemon chicken lunch special that came with hot and sour soup. Soup was a bit on the salty side but the lemon chicken was more batter than chicken and the lemon sauce was overbearing. We also ordered an order of "Cold" ginger chicken and I put cold in quotations because it came hot, I was a little confused and disappointed by that. We lived in Las Vegas for around 15 years and Wo Fat was one of our favorite restaurants. It was sad when I looked through all the reviews to see it had hit a low spot for a while but, luckily, it is back. When we went to LV last time, we went back for our fav meal. We have tried many things but favorites are the curry puffs, fried rice, and the soups-hubs loves the pork noodle and my fav is the chicken noodle. It is everything that is good with a flavorful broth, thin tasty noodles and veggies,like bok choy, that always make me feel healthier. In fact, when one of us felt like a cold was coming on, I would go get take out of the soups. We have travelled many places but have never found soup as good as we had at Wo Fat. I'm not sure what it is but it is the best that we've ever had. Now, that we don't live in Las Vegas, we have to hope we can get there whenever we are in town. I do recommend your giving it a try. This place has been around forever. My family used to order food from here when I was a little kid all the time. When I was driving past I noticed they had a decent price lunch special so I decided to check it out. The servers there are super nice and very knowledgeable about the whole menu. I got the kung pao chicken lunch special. It was $7.99 and came with pork fried rice and wonton soup. I also was able to order to go when I left and my food came out extremely quick which was good.
