3.5 On Union Turnpike, near St John's University, with a few other eateries nearby. I do like egg noodle soups so dined in. Got a bowl with shrimp balls (like fish balls only). I liked the noodles which had a bite to them, and the broth was mild flavored but good. Large bowl so could only finish half of it Saw the bbq meats in the window so got the 3 meats over rice - double portion roast pig and 1 roast duck (no more soy sauce chicken that day). The roast pig had very crispy skin, the pork had good flavor; the roast duck though had hardly any meat but the skin was tasty. Decided to return to get bbq meats over rice for take out. Noted prices were $1-2 less for takeout. Service was ok, fast.

Came here before a Sr Johns game for the 3 meat combo. My choice was duck, roast pig and soy chicken. It came with rice and soy egg and broccoli. Portion was huge for $15 and I had leftovers for next meal. Reliable and delicious.

Had a decent meal with my aunt. Duck was a tad greasy, but the mound of spinach was great and huge! The fat noodle dish was also good, though some of the meat was a smidge chewy. Service was efficient, and the ambience is no frills, but a good value for NYC.

We celebrated my aunt's surprise birthday dinner. Ken, who took my reservation, was awesome in setting us up in a private area away from the crowd. Service was great, no complaints. They were conscientious in placing and serving the food away from the baby, so there are no accidents. Hence, the five-star review. Food was another story. Personally, I was not impressed because I've been eating in other places, and I've had better dishes. We had the following: House Special Soup - was tasteless, which means that it's ideally healthier, but the white pepper and red vinegar were necessary to complete the soup. Roast Duck - greasy and oily that other people we have eaten in Crispy Garlic Chicken - this was actually good. Fried Flounder - salty Crab Fried Rice - tasted OK Seafood Pan Fried Noodles - looked promising but deceivingly uneven ratio of seafood to noodles was disappointing. Snow Pea leaf with Garlic- salty, had better elsewhere. Short Ribs - disappointingly small portion for the cost of the dish. Salt and Pepper Pork Chops - second favorite due to quantity Steamed Flounder - third favorite After reading more about this spot and they're known for their beef and chow fun dishes, I'd return again to explore their dishes.

Came here for lunch with my mom a few weeks ago. We ordered Salt and Pepper Squid and it came out piping hot but too bready and not enough flavor. The. Duck Congee was okay it just needed some seasoning. The beef chow fun and Cambodian noodle soup had great flavor and we thoroughly enjoyed those. Our server was great and attentive. We would come back again but not order the squid.

Want some down home excellent Chinese food? Go here! We ordered 3 dishes and they were so tasty. We had the string beans. It was nice and crispy- difficult to duplicate at home. Then we had triple meat (pork, chicken and beef) deep fried noodles. Again, tasty and crunchy and difficult to make at home. Last was the eggplant, pepper and tofu dish. Served on a cast iron plate so it's served hot (from heat). It's been awhile since I was so please with delicious and authentic tasty Chinese food. To top it off, the size of the dishes were big so you definitely feel that you were getting your money's worth. Yes things cost more than they use to be but here they give you portions that make you feel good. Not like so many restaurants that have raised their prices and downside the portions - a double whammy- BUT NOT HERE!!! A special shout out to our excellent and friendly server, Amy. She was efficient and gave you service with a big smile.

Reliable spot! We have been going here as a family since before the pandemic. Love the spicy sliced fish and now the crispy filets, sweet and sour fish and the fish maw soup. The owner or store manager is in often and the staff are kind and attentive. I never order my "usual" Chinese take out orders because this place offers so much more. I wouldn't really go here for fish or shrimp with broccoli vibes per se. This has more of a restaurant feel rather than American Chinese take out.

Above average Cantonese with accessible street parking. I use to always get roast pork over rice take out but this time decided to dine-in and to be quite honest, the entrées were quite large and tasty. The braised fish fillet and tofu casserole is my all-time favorite Cantonese dish and basically I try that at every new restaurant and Wo Kee didn't disappoint. Pan fried noodle in my opinion had way too much fried noodles and not enough sauce but other than that the flavor was on point.

The last few times, there may have been slight hit or miss items, but yesterday night (Saturday), everything was great! We had fish maw soup with crab, fried fish and fried tofu casserole, whole fried flounder, steak Hong Kong style, fried chick with garlic and beef chow fun (dry. style). I hope they are hitting again for our next family outing! Service was great, but it was also surprisingly empty at 7 and even at 8pm when we were leaving (on a Saturday!). I hope that they maintain this level of food and service and fix any consistency issues they had in the past to bring them back to their former glory!

Whenever I crave beef pan fried noodles, this is the spot to get it from. Usually I order it to go, so I can eat at home while working. It is really good. I usually order the salt and pepper squid also, it's a little bit salty than usual but still good. Their portion is also a good size. If you order for lunch it will be cheaper too.

I come here once a month or once every two months for their roast duck. I have tried other items,…read morebut nothing else stands out, only the duck. I always order a whole duck, with the whoke duck there's the internal juices and marinade that you can request them to put in a to go container, its great for dipping and gives extra flavor if you need it. The ducks is cooked to perfection, its never overcooked nor raw. The skin is nice and crispy while the meat is tender and juicy. Definitely give the duck a try.

The service was decent, but the food just didn't deliver. At dinner, the salt and pepper pork chops were thin, over-fried, dry, and lacked flavor. The black pepper steak was smothered in sauce, and the beef texture suggested it had been overly tenderized. The BBQ duck was especially disappointing -- it tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. Overall, the dishes lacked seasoning, depth of flavor, and that smoky wok hei you expect from good Cantonese cooking. Lunch was slightly better, but still inconsistent. The congee itself was good, though the dried squid was so tough it felt like chewing on rubber. The steamed rice rolls with peanut sauce were another letdown; instead of being freshly steamed, the noodles seemed microwaved, making them firm and dry rather than soft and chewy. I also ordered a fish and tofu dish covered in brown sauce, but it was completely bland. I really wanted to like this place, especially after giving it multiple chances, but unfortunately the third time was not the charm.
