I thought the Scallops and Broccoli was pretty decent... scallops weren't terrific so I wouldn't spring for that again... maybe do a regular chicken w/broccoli instead. We moved to the area from Astoria a year ago and have been in search of some good Chinese takeout. We have seen a lot places but were worried about trying them. We were craving Chinese and didn't feel like driving far to get it (like we always do) so, we took the plunge and tried this place and here's the verdict: The food was pretty good except, the dumplings were strange. Not your typical doughy, super fried dumplings but, were good. The chicken with broccoli (my husbands dish) was Not that good. It really lacked flavor and was just bland. However the fact that the chicken wasn't "weird" made it better! The General TSO's Chicken was the BEST of the items we ordered. Amazing flavor, all white meat (as requested) beautiful! The egg rolls were really good too! Then on another note, the pork fried rice was extremely flavorless and had maybe 8 little bits of pork in it. It was dry and just bland, no flavor at all. Staff is very nice though. All in all, we will definitely order from here again. Ordered take out from here. My sister ordered a chicken and broccoli dish. I ordered sesame chicken. The chicken was very flavorful and delicious. There was also a large ratio of meat to chicken. My sister said that her food was also delicious. They were combo dishes so they came with pork fried rice. There was a lack of pork in the fried rice, but that's alright, since the meals were ~$8 each. We also ordered fried wontons with pork. These were like $3 for 8. We thought it was a steal. However, the wontons were mostly dough, and a tiny nubbin of meat. I guess at that price, that's what I should have expected. It was good, but not what we were expecting. We thought it would be like gyoza or some kind of dumplings. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I had given the caretaker cash for a tip (10.00 for a 30.00 meal). They called me to tell me they were outside with food (I asked them to call caretakers number but they didn't listen). Tried this Chinese restaurant out due to it being open till 10 pm for delivery. Saw that on seamless it had great reviews. When I was checking out the menu I saw that one of the most popular items was the General Tso chicken. I haven't had a good general Tso in so long. When I opened the bag I was firstly very surprised that the chicken with the sauce was separated with the broccoli. I cut the chicken in half after taking a small whiff of it and the first bite was magical. I was in love. I thought it couldn't get any better than this. The perfectly cooked chicken with the amazing sauce was fantastic. Then I tried the broccoli. How can someone mess up broccoli? Oh believe me they can. But not here! The broccoli was delicious and crisp and tasted fresh. The brown rice was the cherry on top. Most places have chewy or overly cooked brown rice, here....it was perfectly fluffy. The wonton soup here is the best ever. The sesame and general tso chicken is great. And during lent, when we're not eating any meat, we get general tso tofu. If I could give this restaurant negative stars I absolutely would. We ordered delivery from this "establishment" at 9pm on Wednesday evening 2/4/15. The woman over the phone asked if we could meet the driver downstairs if he couldn't find parking because "he is new". Being that it had snowed a few days prior I could understand this request but I had ordered multiple times in the days prior from other restaurants and each time the delivery guy double parked on the snow banks and brought my delivery upstairs. I wasn't utterly surprised however when this restaurant called me back to tell me that he "couldn't find parking" and if I could "meet him downstairs". I threw on sweatpants and sandals and went to my building's lobby to meet the delivery guy. After he seeing me in my lobby he gets out of his car, in the street, and holds up a bag imitating if I was the one who requested delivery. I nodded yes and waved him to the lobby door since I was wearing sandals and there was snow and ice out. He flailed his arms in disgust and walked back to his car as if to bemoan me for asking him to walk an additional 15 feet. He went back to his car and drove off. I can't review their food since their pompous and idiotic delivery boy didn't even let me receive my order to critique the actual food but if their customer service is any reflection of their food I'm sure I would be just as disappointed in that as well. Vegetables in the order are excellent - with variety and fresh and crunchy. I always do the Hunan Shrimp. Ordered a beef fried rice with fried chicken wings yesterday for take out. Brought it back home the wings still crispy and tender. I like how they fried the wings and marinate it. Not salty they still have the tenderness of the meat. The beef fried rice is ok. Just a bit oily I understand why. Since they used the brown rice it's hard to manage the softness of the rice. Our cheese wontons and egg rolls weren't crispy, so I had to put them into the toaster oven. The cheese wontons were delicious, but the egg rolls were bland and tasteless. I had a combination plate with Sesame Chicken. The coating on the chicken, the sparse sauce and the fried rice (which had only a few pieces of pork and nothing else) were all extremely bland and tasteless. I only ate a little of each and decided I'd had enough. My boyfriend had Shrimp Egg Foo Young, which he rated average, but he didn't like the sauce or the rice.
