The legs of the shrimp are still attached and they are peeled very carelessly. These are supposed to be jumbo shrimps and seem like half of the shrimp was peeled away. And it gets worse. When the guy comes he looked at the bill I had in my hand before telling me the price. And then he looked at the receipt and hesitated a bit. Probably wanted to get more tips. The food here is delicious - fresh and the spices are excellent. Hats off to the cheff - there is a noticable difference from normal Chinese restaurant food. It tastes better from Cheng's! I recommend the scallion pancakes, and whatever else you would like. We have been happy with their Kung Po Chicken, Roast Pork Lo Mein, Moo Shu Pork, boneless spare ribs and dumplings. Good potion and prices. Chinese and Spanish food and actually tastes pretty good. Doesn't look too appealing on the outside or the interior really but it's a nice place. I really like the pork chops it tastes nice and not hard or dry at all like some places have it. The plantain is nice, not too authentic but tastes good and not too sweet or oily. Every once in a while we order Chinese take out. We live far enough away from the center of Flushing that no one will deliver to us from our usual favorite places. The Chinese take out places by us are all American Chinese food. This place though, Cheng's, is my latest favorite discovery. We've ordered from them twice so far. They have Chinese Chinese food listed on the menu and I was thrilled. We've ordered the Sweet and Sour Filleted Fish, Beef with Long Hot Pepper, Sautéed Luffa, Beef with Chinese Celery, Mapo Tofu, Pork Chop in Spicy Pepper Salt, Sesame Noodles. But this place is not just the same greasy take out Chinese food that everyone knows well from next to the corner bodega. This is actually a good Chinese restaurant. There are quite stand out dishes from Southern China. That's good because this particular stretch of road features Northern and Western Chinese cuisines the most. It always looks like it was made on the spot "with love" (Mom doesn't even do that!)
