Pros: Portions were good and food was ready in under 10 minutes. You get a lot of meat and rice was perfectly cooked as well. Salad was fresh and sauce was nostalgic. Both the chicken and beef had good teriyaki flavor. Note - Little sauce on top but if you mix, you'll notice a lot more sauce on bottom. I prefer the beef over chicken only because beef absorbs the teriyaki flavor better making it a lot stronger in taste however, this also means some might find it too overwhelming and prefer chicken which is still fine and a safe bet. Beef would rate 4/5. Chicken would rate 3/5. Cons: Chicken had dried hard edges, many hidden under the top layer and drenched with sauce. Solid Teriyaki worth the stop. I randomly found this place tucked in the middle between Planet Fitness and Jersey Mike's. They have great options across the board. Look for their lunch specials. Typically a chicken dish, salad, gyoza or egg roll, and a drink for ~$12. Great value for lunch stop. I've been in 4 times and never waited more than 15 for food and it was busy. Average wait 8 minutes. Be aware their magnetic strip reader is broken. You'll need a credit card with a chip or cash. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, and a great product. I've been coming here about fifteen years. Have ordered the same exact thing for the last ten. Special with white meat. They charge me extra, I bring friends in with me, everyone is happy. It got to a point where I just had to walk in and they would know my order. I currently hold the rank as Duke here, I believe. That's how often I go. Today was my last day. The food quality seemed to take a hit this year. About a month ago, they may have gotten new owners, but the service got worse. I had to argue my way to the order I wanted. It worked a couple times, special plus an extra charge. Today the lady at the counter refused. I asked what changed since I've ordered the same thing for ten years without issue. "Maybe that is how it was ten years ago. No." I'm all about service, and there are a dozen teriyaki places around. Time to find a new favorite. read more

The food is ok. Depending on what you order. Our issue is not with the food. It's with the customer service, the lady taking the orders is just rude. We came in around 6:30 in the evening, ordered our food and when she asked if it was to go or eat in, I asked her to wait a sec, and let me ask my wife, my wife was right next to me. Then the lady asked again and was trying to get me to say , to go. I told her to hang on, my wife didn't answer yet, she can plainly see since we are right in front of her. My wife then said. We will eat there. The lady then says that they close the dining room at 7:45. She said it in a mean manner like as if we were going to stay there and hangout until they close. Another time she told this couple with a family, that the dining room was closed about 45 minutes prior to their 8pm closing time. So this family went to eat at somewhere else. I mean if they want to go home early, change your closing time. She is only nice if you say to go. Dine in seems to make her upset that she has clean up or something. read more

Good restaurant, I stopped in here after a workout at the gym. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the beef and chicken combo to go. The wait was not long at all and the restaurant wasn't packed to which worked in my favor. The staff was pleasant just gave the appearance of nickel and dime-ing after charging me an additional $0.25 for some hot sauce. I used to love coming here ... However, they recently changed management and it has gone down hill since. Their menu very clearly states that all combos plates #10 - #19 come with rice and salad. However, when I ordered two #15's tonight, I was charged extra for two salads when clearly it states they are to be included. I asked why I was being charged for the salads and the lady at the register said "the new manager changed their mind and they no longer come with a salad." Even though their new menu says so. This is false advertising!! The new management either needs to update their newly put up menu or actually honor what it says. False advertising is illegal and I should not be charged for something which is clearly stated as being included. read more

Ever since they switched owners I've only been here twice, last week was my second time here. I ordered a beef teriyaki with sauce on the rice, what I got was no sauce, not even on the beef teriyaki. It was for take out so of course I didn't open it up at the counter to check it out. The beef seemed like it was a day old or more and reheated in the microwave, it was so dry and had a weird hue to it. After I ate a few bites of this, I threw it away and later that night I got food poisoning. Never coming back here again. I asked if I can get that instead. Cashier said "no." I asked why and she said because proportion is less. She later said to wait 10 more minutes then which I said ok. She asked for my card and said would void the old order but asked to add $2 more on that order. Not wanting to be charged 2x I asked for the new receipt before giving my card and to see that the old order would be voided. I walked out without the food and did not provide my card. She ran after me after already leaving their property asking me for my card. Why would I give my card if I didn't leave with any food and she'd originally refused my change of order and void to the first order? All around fantastic. The guy that took our order was super nice and patient with my husband and I. (Especially when we had absolutely no idea what to get.) There appeared to be almost exclusively regulars, where the cashier would tell the kitchen the order before the people even entered the building! It was our first Teriyaki place. EVER. And since we found ourselves in the Pacific Northwest, and unknowingly in the Great Land of Teriyaki, it was a fantastic first experience. We had two combos. I had the Pork Teriyaki with the Egg Rolls and my husband had the Chicken Teriyaki with Chicken Katsu. We like to go splitsies on everything so that instead of trying two things, we can try four. The sauce was great on both of the Teriyaki items, the pork and the chicken both had a great char to it, the little salad was a nice treat - and the homemade dressing was delicious. The Egg Rolls were cabbage-y, which I actually like, but the Chicken Katsu breading was underseasoned. The delicious Katsu sauce made up for it (Worchestershire + Ketchup?). I was looking for a quick stop off my route of 405S after work to get teriyaki to go. Yelp to the rescue (queue trumpets). This place has great reviews, some pictures of the menu (thank you yelper!) and I feel like I have definitely found the right place and will use them again in the future on these friday-teriyaki-emergencies during rush hour traffic. I was honestly delighted at the level of cleanliness and brightness (let's be honest, some of your favorite teriyaki joints have been a little dingy, had a serious fly problem in the summer, and may not pass a health code inspection with flying colors). Also, the friendliness of the man and women behind the counter was very welcome! I came (flying I'm sure) through the door and said I'd like to order some food to go but wasn't sure what yet! (The menu photos were a couple years old, things change and with possible language barriers/bad phone connections I figured it was just best to order in person the first time.) he handed me a menu and said no problem, take your time! Of course it didn't actually take me long! I wanted 2 chicken teriyaki's (one regular one chicken breast) and I had spied the California and spicy tuna rolls on the yelp photos! They still have them!!! I'm excite even as I write this!!! Two of my favorite things (teriyaki and sushi rolls) in one place!!! I ordered, total was a few cents under $30, I feel very reasonable! It's hard to believe that Korean people can make Japanese food this good. I love, love, love their yakisoba. They always cook it up fresh so the veggies are crispy. I always get the shrimp and they're done just right. The people here are so nice. They bring the food to you and it always comes out pretty quick. A couple things though: The gyoza is definitely overpriced. I'm pretty sure the price was $4 for 9 pieces. You can buy a bag with 45 pieces for that price. Also, the eggrolls are no good. We have been looking for a new teriyaki restaurant, since the owner of our favorite place changed owners. The place is very clean, great service. But most of all excellent food, chicken and beef is not precooked or dry. And the teriyaki sauce is not salty or very sweet. I will give this place another chance because of the good reviews, but I would NOT recommend the beef ramen. The noodles looked like packaged Top Ramen noodles (and tasted about as good), the beef tasted almost exactly like gas station beef jerkey, and the broth was too salty and pretty bland. The veggies were lacking and didn't seem very fresh either, so I would avoid this dish and any other ramen they have. I am super picky when it comes to teriyaki, compared to other places around Renton, this is probably one of the cheapest which is nice. Chicken teriyaki is not bad, not the softest meat, just average quality. Teriyaki sauce was not too watery, sweet or salty which was good. I got the chicken teriyaki and katsu combo. Katsu was a little dry, not as crispy as I expected, it would kind of flake off of the chicken and I didn't get any katsu sauce with it. Salad is ordinary, same dressing as most teriyaki places. Yakisoba was not too bad, I did have to add soy sauce once I got home because it was a little bland. Regardless, if I ever crave teriyaki, I might come around to this place again if I'm nearby. read more
