Protein included tough beef, dry chicken, and adequately cooked shrimp. Overall dish was oily and not well seasoned. Mongolian Beef - Not Mongolian beef. More of the same tough beef in a tasteless stir-fry with green peppers. Vegetable stir fry - slimy and tasteless. Large onions were prepped halved and quartered. Chicken with Broccoli - same veggie stir-fry with tasteless inch cubed chicken thigh pieces. Orange chicken - tons of super salty sauce and super small pieces of chicken that were overcooked and I couldn't make out the coating. Eggrolls and gau gee were satisfactory. I don't usually post negative reviews but money is really tight these days and although the plate portions are large, this $73 purchase order wasn't worth my hard earned dollars. They may have a few signature dishes but unfortunately it wasn't any of these and I will not be returning. read more

After reading the mixed reviews, I was 50/50 about eating here. However, I am so happy I did! I called in my order to save on time. The lady was so nice and had a smile on her face the whole time! I ordered Crispy Gau Gee Mein, Cold Ginger Chicken, Shrimp Canton, Pork Fried Rice, and Chicken Katsu w/ Fried Rice. Portions were great and pricing was even better, 5 plates for $60! Seriously one of the BEST fried rices I've had (both the pork fried rice and the plain fried rice that came with the Katsu)! Shrimp Canton is a little different from the breaded type and served with veggies, it was different, but still very good. Sweet and sour sauce was more on the tart side (I'm used to Maile Chinese's canton sauce, sweeter side). Pork fried rice and crispy Gau gee were definitely my favorites. This is a good tasting hole in the wall made to order restaurant. You can sit in if you'd like but most do take out. The helpings are big so you have two meals in one tray. The workers English is a bit broken but very kind and to the point! So quick service is always done. I have never had a bad dish here. I personally have their garlic shrimp plate, and the skin is always crispy. I'm met with a smile, and leave full and smiling. read more

Been coming here since it first opened and when they changed ownership. They are known for very generous portions and reasonable prices and the new owner is carrying the legacy. I have tried about 50% of the menu. All good except for the lemon chicken. It's not even yellow but dark soy sauce type. I never eaten a lemon chicken that was not yellow looking. I mean, it taste OK but I was expecting a more lemon taste and lemon looking one. The previous owner had the best tasting mustard sauce I ever tasted but since COVID they seem to have changed it and you have to ask for it now. I still have much more to try on the menu but since I only go about once a month it will take a while to go through the whole menu but pleased with what I tried already. read more

I have had it at other places and found it loaded with green bell peppers which I can't eat so I spend time picking them out. This is my favorite Chinese plate lunch place. It's a very humble restaurant with a very warm-hearted, hard-working couple who run it. The lady in the front PACKED our plates so that my $9.50 minute chicken dish actually became two meals for me when I got home. The lady was stunned when I wanted to add money in the tip jar and was so, so appreciative. It warmed my heart, so when she rushed back to help cook, I slipped another $5 in. It's usually really empty here with no line, but I recommend going here! Orange chicken looked and tasted burnt, sweet & sour chicken was so dry and over cooked or at least fried in very old oil. Chow mein was also burnt tasting, very little flavor to any of the dishes. Super disappointed that we blew money on food we couldn't even stomach to eat... fried rice was the best out of all of it but even still not very good flavor. The wife and I wanted some decent "mainland style" Chinese food. This is not it. We both got the sesame chicken. I've never had sesame chicken that wasn't sweet. This tasted super salty and kind of burnt. The fried rice was somewhat of a redeeming quality, but even that was pretty burnt. The crab Rangoons were also kind of weird. They didn't have any cream cheese. It was just crab meat loosely thrown in a fried dumpling. Neither my wife nor myself finished our meals. Absolutely dreadful. I didn't think there was a place on Oahu that could possibly be worse than Great Wall, but I've found it. Everything we ordered was absolutely coated in grease. My beef chow mein was prepared in old oil--my noodles were almost black. There was very little beef in the tiny container I was given and almost no vegetables in sight. Panda Express is a staunch improvement, and for a mom and pop place, that should be embarrassing. My husbands fried rice was totally flavorless. I can't even begin to explain how angry I am with this place. Wok and Grill was the final nail in the coffin for local chinese places. My husband and I are done. I am totally disgusted with this restaurant! I went to pick up the food after ordering it online. The rice looked good and it was a lot of rice, more than enough for just me. When I made it home I started eating and found a roach in the rice!!!! I am beyond livid! Do you know how many disease and germs roaches can carry. Located next to Subway in Wahiawa in the shopping center that has Foodland. Small Chinese place that kinda reminds me of a mini panda/chop suey joint. They have a selection of hot items like Panda does... you can make a 1-choice, 2-choice, or 3-choice plate... or buy items ala carte. They also sell duck, roast pork, and char siu. My boyfriend looooves the roast pork here. Usually they sell out before dinner because it's very popular and tasty! It comes with a mustard sauce. He said the duck is okay as is the char siu. As for the hot items, I've tried the chicken with mushrooms and the orange chicken; both were okay but I prefer Panda Express. Was looking for lunch today and the other Chinese take out charges extra for dishes with veggies so I no longer go there. I've been to this place once and it was ok so I thought I'd try again. Mistake. The food looked like it was sitting forever and the veggies (Mongolian Beef) was limp and not fresh. Taste was ok but still it looked old. Also tried the s/s pork which I really like but this one was pork only with no veggies. The pork taste was ok but the lack of veggies was a minus. Then she gives me a fork! 26yrs Ago, I was introduced to this place, little cute "Ma & Pa" type place. I always got the Orange Chicken cause it was made fresh, it was AWESOME then and AWESOME now. I expanded since then, the Roast Duck, heck even the buffet is great. I think they know me by now cause when I go I always, always, always get my Spicy Orange Chicken. This place is great, I just got back on island June 2019 and the food is still AWESOME!!! Give it a shot, even the pricing is great. Heck gonna get some tonight just by typing and thinking about it. Ive tried this place three times, each time hoping it will get better but it does not. It is overpriced and for paying extra for a large portion and my friend got just a regular size and they were exactly the same....... The crab rangooons are extremely disappointing and don't even come with sauce. If you order hot and sour soup prepare to be let down even more, there is no heat or spice to it....... definitely not hot and sour soup.
