You could never go wrong with this place. Great pricing, great food. The servings are huge. This is our go to place for take out!

Ignored this place for the better part of 3 years after moving to Wahiawa. What a mistake. Been here a few times now and it's quickly become one of my favorites. I've ordered the bitter melon dish, black mushroom with tofu and veggies and a couple other items, and haven't been disappointed. Kinda salty, decent flavor, big servings - kinda like me. Owners are nice af and I'm glad I gave this spot a chance.

This whole in the wall in a must! I was hungry at 9pm and this was one of the few places open so I decided to give it a try and I was not let down. I got the chow fun noodles with chicken and WOW the noodles were thick and had so much flavor. The only thing I wish is that it had more chicken because I felt as if there were only a few pieces but other than that I recommend.

This small family run restaurant is a hidden gem in Wahiawa. Local grinds kind of food, hot fresh, and served with a smile! Always get the house fired rice, it has all you could want in a meal and then some!

    Orange chicken

Orange chicken looked and tasted burnt, sweet & sour chicken was so dry and over cooked or at least fried in very old oil. Chow mein was also burnt tasting, very little flavor to any of the dishes. Super disappointed that we blew money on food we couldn't even stomach to eat... fried rice was the best out of all of it but even still not very good flavor. If we hadn't had the food delivered I would have asked for it to be remade or given a refund.

Now, is it actually the best? Food is subjective, Brah. But let me tell you my truth. The burger itself? A solid 5 out of 5. The bun is incredibly soft. It almost feels like it was steamed low-key like a Krystal burger, even though it's probably not. And the patty? Super flavorful. It honestly reminds me of a really good, seasoned meatloaf in the best way possible. I absolutely love it, even if your Auntie or Unko might disagree. The taste and the price point are honestly unbeatable. So why only 4 stars overall? Because I am a simple human, and my DNA dictates that a burger must be accompanied by fries. Eating a world-class burger without a side of crispy french fries feels like going to the beach and forgetting your slippahs. You know what I mean!? Crucial missing component! If you don't mind chasing a legendary burger with a bowl of saimin instead of fries, this place is an absolute must-try. Otherwise, you better go cruise over to Jack in the Box first for some curly fries!

4 stars for Mililani Restaurant!…read more The food was cooked really well, but everything needed salt, so the flavors never got to shine the way they could have. Which is honestly a bummer because if they had seasoned Bill's Fish & Chips... dude... it would've easily been the best we've ever had! The other day, my family stopped by Mililani Restaurant after my son recommend the fish & chips. Since I'm a sucker for variety - and I hadn't eaten here in about 20 years - I also ordered the Mini Fried Saimin and Mini Korean Chicken. I love seeing each restaurant's take on these local favorites. Bill's Fish & Chips: WOW. The full order is HUGE! You get three giant pieces of cod over a mountain of shoestring fries. The fish was cooked beautifully - super crispy on the outside while staying moist and flaky inside. But oh Lord... it needed salt! The fries had a great crisp too, although they did have that darker, old-oil flavor that was a little hard to ignore. Since I'm a foodie who likes to come prepared, I happened to have lemon wedges with me lol!... and man, did that take the fish to another level. Hey, don't judge! (I'm pretty sure my family was embarrassed... but ask me if I care. Hahaha! Jk... kinda.) We all agreed that if they had simply salted the fish right out of the fryer, this would've easily been a 5 star dish. Mini Fried Saimin: Can we talk about that portion size for a mini?! Super generous! Unfortunately, this one also needed more seasoning, and the oil flavor came thru more than the other ingredients. I know it's fried, so some oil flavor is expected, but it kinda overpowered everything else. A little more shoyu would've gone a long way. Since fried saimin is usually one of my favorite things to order (local girl at heart!), I'd give this one about 3 stars. Mini Korean Chicken: The sauce was delicious and reminded me of Sugoi's Garlic Chicken. The only downside was that the chicken itself wasn't hot. It tasted like it may have been cooked earlier and then portioned out for my plate. The service was friendly, helpful with recommendations, and they packed everything securely. Our order was accurate, and the prices felt fair for the amount of food you get. They definitely have a great variety for a neighborhood plate lunch spot. Would we make the drive all the way from Ewa Beach just for this? Probably not. But if we're already in the area, we'd absolutely stop by again. One last heads up... if you're planning to dine in, be prepared to leave smelling like the fryer. The ventilation could definitely use some help.. we all went straight to the shower when we got home!

Jade Chinese Restaurant - Waipio's Long‑Standing Gem…read more Jade Chinese Restaurant in Waipio has been a trusted favorite in the community for years, and it's easy to see why. This is the kind of place that welcomes everyone--families, longtime locals, and hungry walk‑ins alike--with consistently good food and fast, friendly service. One of my go‑to dishes is the Honey Walnut Shrimp--perfectly crisp, lightly sweet, and always satisfying. The Soft Gau Gee Noodles with gravy are another must‑try: comforting, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a classic local-style Chinese meal. While enjoying my food, I noticed a steady flow of take‑out orders--both walk‑ins and phone orders--which says a lot about how much the community relies on Jade. They handle the rush with ease, keeping things moving without sacrificing quality. If you're looking for a place to pick up your Chinese New Year meal, Jade is an excellent choice. They've been part of the celebration for years, and their dishes bring that festive, traditional flavor we all look forward to. Kung Hee Fat Choi! I sat down on one of the 9 tables and looked over the menu and bam my eyes became fixated on the beef curry combo. I thought the beef was going to be thinly sliced but to my surprise it was chunks of tender beef. The curry was on the sweeter side which I actually prefer so it was a 10 out of 10 for me. The Ramen noodles has a nice chew to it. The slice of pork was on the thicker side but it tasted a little salty which may have affected the broth as it was neither a hit or miss but right in the middle. Needless to say I ate all the noodles and left most of the broth. I woild give it 7 out of 10. The pan fried gyoza was good. The wrapping had a nice texture and chew stuffed with pork, onion, chives ginger and something else but it tasted good. 9 out of 10. Service was really good.
