Went last night with my mother and my 2 sons. It was Moms birthday and my youngest sons birthday celebration. Mom had blackened whitefish, oldest son had a steak medium rare, birthday son had popcorn shrimp and I had snapper. All of our meals were excellently prepared, presented and were delicious! Not one complaint about any of the meals or sides! Our hostess, Xanna (I'm sure I spelled it incorrectly, sorry) was very attentive and wonderful. Glasses were always full! And at the end of the meal, she presented the birthday guests with a molten chocolate cake each! Great meal, great hostess, and a great time! Looking forward to our next visit! read more

This place is GREAT! Supposedly the old place began as a bait shop, and grew up with Foley. When the old place burned down several years ago, they built it back very mice, and added another location in Orange Beach. You will NOT be disappointed. So came here last night close to closing. We really didn't realize how late it was getting but we knew we wanted to have shrimp Alfredo. We got to the restaurant around 8:20 with 40 mins left before closing. Yes we were those people . Thank god there were others who came in shortly after us. The staff sat us almost immediately. But took them about 5 minutes to come get our drink order but understandable since the staff that was left for the night had about 6 other tables before we arrived. After that they were rapid with the service. When you come in the side entrance we immediately walked into a gift shop. One similar to the Cracker Barrel. Once you walk through the store part you will see the hostess stand and to the right their salad bar and all their seating. They only have tables to sit at as well as the bar stools. They have plenty of room and you don't feel like your sitting next to another table so closely like in most restaurants that only have tables. The menu had multiple choices to choose from. From American to seafood to the salad bar to steaks and baked potatoes. We decided to go with the seafood Alfredo instead of the shrimp. For the kids we ordered an unlimited trip to the buffet for my 8 year old and the fried fish kids plate for my 3 year old . With the Alfredo pasta you get a one time trip to the salad bar which thank goddess bc I love having a salad with any pasta. This one unfortunately was nothing special though but it served its job. I would've loved having more options to choose from as well as my 8 year old bc she decided to have just one salad and then order a kids cheeseburger plate which was a nice size portion other than most restaurants. The only thing really thing I would want out of them next time I visit is more flavor. The seafood pasta was good and even had enough scallops, shrimp and sausage to have a piece of 2 with every bite. Oh and if you like your scallops with a bit of a crunch ask them to sear them. All in all I would recommend this to somebody in town or visiting and I'm sure I'll be in here and there. read more

I have been here 2 times to eat in the past month and come for the wonderful, very large, crab cakes. Best I have had in years. They are full of true lump crab meat, thick, and lightly seasoned. Full of flavor. The restaurant was clean and service was very good. I sat in the bar area first time and at the bar the 2nd. No one crowded me. The only downside was that servers were wearing mask below their noses, touching mask with bare hands and not washing. I'm an Infection control nurse and notice these things. While the salad bar was open, disposable gloves for people to put on prior to walking down the line would have been helpful. I have seen this in other restaurants and it works great, very sanitary. Maybe weekly education of the staff on proper mask wearing and hand washing. Felt safe and definitely will eat here again. read more

I have to give this restaurant 5 stars just for the waiter alone. Mr. Mark was the most hard working, kindest person! He was super attentive, waiting on us hand and foot and also giving us the best deal possible by recommending specials of the day. It honestly was the best service we have had in a long time! The food was good too! Gumbo is not like my cajun Mom's but it was good. The shrimp and grits was decadent!! Great salad bar and fried shrimp. My kids loved their experience and got free refills so fast on their drinks with a to-go cup and frisbee. Would absolutely come back on the regular if we lived local! Mr. Mark!! Ask for him! Decent restaurant that offers daily specials and is noted for their fried seafood and salad bar. They have a selection of fresh gulf seafood along with very sadly also using imported swai fish for their seafood platters and several other places on their menu; I understand the restaurant is trying to meet a price point by using this imported fish but I also wish they would offer the option to upgrade to local gulf fish in the places they are using swai and also more clearly label on the menu where they are using swai as some of the descriptions are misleading where they list "fresh gulf shrimp" and throw it in along with the generic "fish" that turns out to be foreign swai which sadly all too many restaurants in the Gulf Coast region are doing the exact same poor behavior which is disrespectful to customers and domestic fishermen to use such tricky inaccurate descriptions. The actual Gulf fish I had was Cobia and it was done well although for the price it was a significantly smaller portion size than I'm generally used to at the price point. They also have some good non-seafood options here. Overall this is a decent place to eat but be careful with the fish and make sure to clarify what it is and where it is from before you order it. read more

It's a good restaurant however changes with management have caused some issues with service. We love the food but you never know how service will be. Out of 50 or so visits we have had 10 or so that were questionable and at least 3 where we just walked out and left. read more

I go here a lot. It has a great salad bar seafood is very good catfish is good and I like the chicken Balsamic it's very nice. Scallops are excellent and the Shrimp is great. Baked potatoes are not real big and I like them fresh and I tell them so. They make sure I'm happy. My friend eats the catfish and asks for more hush puppies he likes a lot. Just tell them what you want. The Lobster Soup forget the name but you get a cup or a bowl and it is very rich and delicious . They have fried green tomatoes and they are super good. Great service. Ended up spending my birthday here with family as we vacationed in Orange Beach. The vibe and patrons were friendly and charming, but the layout was a little weird (we walked in through what we believed was the entrance, but stood around like dopes until a family directed us to head to the back [front?] to actually be seated). Once we were finally seated, I made a point to tell our waitress that it was my birthday. Which she responded to with a cute smile, and zero acknowledgement. Lolz. I'm a grown man so I didn't expect a birthday cake or for her to turn a front flip but usually a little something as a response ("oh nice, happy birthday!" for size) was too much to expect. Maybe she just didn't hear me? I'm willing to go with that since she was pretty attentive during other interactions. Regardless, the service and cuisine was good otherwise (at least for chiefly being fried versions of the delicious aquatic beasts who populate the area). Don't expect to get your socks blown off, but they have plenty of TVs for sports watching, home-cooked style grub, and friendly service. Would recommend. read more

Don't let the lines stop you from coming! Went to outlet malls for shopping, got hungry and came to the Wolf for a bite to eat. We had an hour wait and just decided to sit at the bar. We order the hot crab dip, delish! I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband ordered the catch of the day triple tail fish. Everything was amazing! Worth the trip if you are in town! Drove an hour to meet my brother and his fiancé for drinks and food as he is local. Food was okay, a bit pricy for what you get. Server messed up drink order twice no big deal I get it mistakes happen we drank it the second time as is. But the service...... beyond horrible. It was just our server. The runners were fantastic. Went here on recommendation from my daughter. The ambiance was nice. Our server was very polite and attentive. Got an old fashioned at the bar which was spot on. Now on to the food......it left a lot to be desired. First off if your going to charge 4-star prices I expect 4-star food. I ordered the grouper ponchitrain and was looking forward to it but the fish was over cooked and the rice was almost raw and also cold. The shrimp kabobs were the same with the rice and my wife's stuffed shrimp were medium shrimp with stuffing completely surrounding them. So basically it was all pretty terrible. The manager when asked about it gave us mashed potatoes as a side but said the rice was supposed to be that way. If I'm not mistaken rice is supposed to be light and fluffy not hard and crunchy. I'm good with paying for good food but I feel like I got took for $150 meal I wouldn't have paid $40 for. read more

2 Stars only because we had a great server and the gift shop is cute. Apps were decent then downhill from there. Not sure how this place had great reviews because everything was pretty bland. We had a burger, chicken Alfredo, fried shrimp and kids chicken fingers and fries. My husband also ordered fried oysters which he sent back and he never sends anything back ever. It's very unassuming when you drive past it but OH MY GOODNESS it was phenomenal. The best piece of filet mignon I've ever had. Even the kids cheeseburger was the best I've ever had. We had a delicious seafood dinner, and the salad bar was included. The service was exceptional with warm and friendly smiles. Our waitress, Miss Z was outstanding. Our glasses were never empty.
