He's the consummate professional, excellent work ethic, and absolutely knowledgeable and competent. Eran is so awesome and accommodating. He seems ready and eager to work for & with you, and he made himself available as best he could with me. Even though it's clear from his website the area range he covers, and that he's open to go even further (for, in my opinion a small additional charge), he went extra far for me; and furthermore he's always ready seemingly at a moments notice (which won't always be the case, of course, but shows that as long as he's available, he'll jump to work with you [reflective of how awesome service & work ethic he has])! The extra (again, for an small [IMO] additional charge) he was wonderful in considering for me was even as far as a used car dealership in Roseville! Just FYI, for him Gilroy is too far (haha, had to try, because he's awesome and I was desperate for the car, so for him to). And he works hard to make it that his customers don't have to do anything additional, and that he'll take care of it all -- he doesn't expect you to meet him there (although you have the option; he offered/was-open for me to be there to do it with him, but since the dealerships were like 40+ miles out, I opted not to), or to meet with him beforehand, or even afterward; you can correspond and coordinate just text and/or phone. If anything, you just might have to call the dealership and give them a heads up (telling them the time and Eran's name & business). He goes out, takes the car for about an hour, and checks everything. But beyond that (and what I mean about excellent work ethic and consummate professional) is that he documents it all (photos on top of his notes), and he goes in, around, and even under the car and looks at all the nook and cranny of all the car parts & aspects. He took plenty of photos of anything remarkable of the car (dents, paint deterioration, oil/grease stains [underhood of the car], interior issues, etc.). He has a whole form with a checklist that checks ranging from fluids to condition of belts to lights working to hoses to condition of the tires & brakes and the rest; even takes note if there's a spare tire & wheel jack. Of course he hooks up his OBD tool to check for any codes. Then he sends you the report with all of his findings, gives you a call to talk it all over and he gives his impression, then you send payment -- he's really cool about payment and states "however you want to pay"; Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash, Check, whatever. He gave me the impression that I wanted him to be my own mechanic; so I even asked him. And it's a credit to him to have replied that, to keep professionalism and can't claim exploitation, he doesn't do both (PPI and mechanic). He is on the high end of what you might estim8 ($180; more if you send him outside his normal area/range [I don't believe more than $200]), but I was happy to spend that on him. I'm a novice with cars (general knowledge enough, but not enough to be able to identify whether car parts are in good order and/or would last or not), so I wasn't confident in my ability to buy my first used car. I used him twice (would have been three times, but Gilroy was too far away). In the end, the used car I got has worked great for the last 6 months. And he saved me from buying an amazing car (high end Hyundai; $3k) but in such under-the-hood horrible shape that it would've been 3x the cost of the price just to repair everything -- which is proven when I saw the listing remain for 2 whole months and priced reduced twice down to I believe $2800! After it all, I brought my used car to 2 mechanics after him, and they confirmed 4 out of the 6 concerns he had -- which, granted, it's not like Eran has a car lift and a whole lot of time to thoroughly check as much as a mechanic with a garage would. He mistook cosmetic blemishes on the serpentine belt and the brakes as old age and maybe needing to be replaced -- which didn't end up being the case. But he did get the transmission deficiencies, signs on a certain valve gasket, parking brake, and other aspects right on the mark. I can't say good enough things about him! I was only able to feel confident enough to buy the really old used car that was in my budget because of him. And it's been nothing but a success! 6 months later, after taking care of the issues and potential concerns Eran noted, the car has not given any problems (that could have been foreseen; it still is a really old car so some things are bound to have come up organically) -- proving how much Eran and SafeBuy is really stellar and impeccable! If you're not the best with cars, you can absolutely trust Eran and SafeBuy; as much as you can trust his willingness, commitment, integrity, experience.

The spot is located in a quiet industrial lot across from a lawned public park, and coincidentally unbeknownst to me.. I had thought the lot looked familiar when I drove in because Autotek is neighbors with where I get my smog checks. I think my car has found its family . Got to meet Peter, the manager. He was very cool and cordial. He's got jokes too. Pricing is about what you'd find anywhere else nearby--the oil is good. Service was as clean and quick as expected of professionals. About a week later, I even received a thank you card from Autotek. Super service! PS. I didn't get to meet the dog in the photos though. Hopefully next time.

I brought in a car for a pre-purchase inspection, and the whole team treated me like I was their only customer and I've noticed they treat all their customers the same. I've met everyone that works there and they're all wonderful. Here's the part that says it all: this shop is a good drive from me, and I've already gone back there for a manufacturer recommended service. Voluntarily and with a smile. I have been going to Wolfgang's for 20 years since before Wolfgang retired. Fred and Frank are smart, decent, fair, and competent. They are both straight-up in their approach. I have driven BMW's for 30 years and one thing they don't do is to complicate and mystify potential problems in order to scare you into unwise repairs. Regarding my 2002 BMW 525iT wagon with l76,000 miles, Fred advised me to stop using my balky sunroof as a new sunroof cassette would cost $2000+. Regarding my gimpy, uneven seat raising motors, Frank told me new base frames and motors would cost $2000+ per set and he recommended spending $500 for a pair of good used seats with functioning base frames. One other thing that the OCD BMW competition does that Fred and Frank don't do, is to repair cars like they're worth $30,000 when they're actually worth $3000. I don't get that here and we actually do talk a lot about cars as well, mainly my desire to own a 2001-2005 Mercedes SL55 AMG (R230). I've also learned a lot being here as well. If my family ever needs work done on their cars and don't want to go to the dealer- then I'll take them here. I told them once BMW wanted me to get fuel injection cleaning and I got warned that it wasn't necessary. I've seen some late model Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes in the shop occasionally, so it just shows that they're better than the dealer both in pricing, repairs and service!

Jeremiah and his team diagnosed the issue, cleared the codes, and let me know that my water pump was on its last legs. They advised me to closely monitor my temperature gauge and strongly consider replacing it sooner rather than later. The check engine light stayed off until I was just 10 miles away from my smog testing appointment. Rather than miss the appointment, I went in and explained that I likely wouldn't pass. I called Walnut Creek Auto Pros, scheduled an appointment to replace the water pump, and asked them to check the EVAP codes as well. After the repairs were completed, I returned to the smog station and passed without issue. Even though they're 35 miles from my home, Walnut Creek Auto Pros is the only shop I trust to work on my truck.

In this instance I am compelled to write a scathing review…read more My wife brought our Mitsubishi in to get the AC fixed and window motors replaced. She explained the issues, and told the technician (Sahil) that we have tried two times to recharge the AC and it has failed (leaked). The windows motors are loosing power. A day later Sahil calls me on the phone to give me a quote. He says the car needs engine oil change, brakes pads and rotors are worn out, head gasket is leaking. Absolutely , no mention of our requests. The engine oil had been changed 3 weeks ago by me. When I told him this he was surprised. Yes, the brake pads are worn out but I usually replace these. Head gasket has no leaks, another surprise. I mentioned changing spark plugs would be good but he could not source the premium NGK spark plugs. At that time one could review the head gasket too. Absolutley no mention of our two requests: AC not working and car windows. I reminded him, and he said he could recharge the AC. I reminded him that is exactly what had been done at 2 shops. He said he could put in a dye. I said that had been done too but will let you diagnose. Well, no worries, I said I would source the premium parts and bring the car back. I did not even broach the issue about the windows. My wife brings the car back home. I noticed they had removed the engine air filter and not put it back! They had also done the same for the cabin filter! I now have to buy these parts with grommets. Changing filters in a car is like changing a light bulb. Shops charge you a 2x-3x markup to do this quick job (2 min), and it is an easy way to get money from you. The only conclusion I could draw from this experience is that a woman took a car in. They thought she had no clue. And they picked on every common issue: oil change, filter change, head gasket, brakes to get money out of her. Gave absolutely no attention to the reason the card was brought in. I am so sad to see this type of service, when I have had a good experience with Safi in the past. Never coming back.

BE WARNED, The owner is dishonest and unaccountable. Not qualified IMO to work on closed system air…read moresuspension systems - F rating on BBB. I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee. My service air suspension light came on a couple times in early Feb so I immediately looked into getting it fixed. Feb 4th, an inspection at Main St Automotive revealed I had air leaks in my right front and rear shock and strut assembly. After talking to the dealer (who had parts on backorder) I spoke to Main Street again, further inquiring about their expertise. They assured me that they work on all the premium cars with air lift suspension all the time and were very well qualified to do the work. Andrei O, the owner, and I had a long discussion about the importance of buying factory OEM Mopar Parts although they were more expensive. I had been looking at alternative parts sellers (Mopar branded available for $800-1000) but Andre convinced me these sites would be fraudulent and that they would only use Mopar genuine OEM parts. He advised against buying anything anywhere outside of Mopar direct as they'd be fake. He gave me a long story about how he used to work there and knew the GM personally. He sent me the factory link where the parts were priced at $2281.25. Although the bid of Main Street Automotive was more expensive, I authorized them to do the work. I brought the car in on Feb 5 for the service for which Andrei said he had the parts in stock. At 4pm Feb 5th the front desk girl called to tell me "the car is finished and ready for pick up". I arrived to pick it up at the appointed time and Andrei advised that 1) they had just started reprogramming the computer and 2) it could take up to an hour to complete. After waiting 30 minutes with no visible progress, I had to leave for a family affair. They kept the car another day, and advised that they had to open a case with a master technician to resolve the reprogramming. After working with their "master technician", Feb 6th the front desk called back near end of the day and advised "the car was done and ready for payment and pick up" (again). I immediately paid $3300 in cash in good faith. The car immediately failed while driving off the property. Ultimately the vehicle was taken to the dealer by Main St. to correct the problem, but the diagnostic given to the dealer was incomplete, testing only the top 2 ride heights of which there are 5. The car still did not work correctly in aerodynamic or exit/entry mode. Andrei advised they did not initially have the proper high speed cable required to complete the job. Main St, I learned, can also not complete this job without nitrogen from the dealer. Main Street Auto then advised I should get all further work completed at the dealer. Their OWN STAFF advised the car was unsafe to drive in its current condition. THEY COULD NOT COMPLETE THE JOB that I paid for. When the dealership received the car again, the master technician (38 years) at the dealer advised that the computer had been reprogrammed incorrectly with the rear suspension ride height improperly set so the rear was always elevated. They asked me "why did Main Street Auto attempt to reprogram it at all, the replacement of shocks/struts and air suspension requires no reprogramming"? I called to discuss this with Main St. after it was shared by the dealership and the front desk guy put me on hold for 10 minutes for "an emergency with the boss". When he returned, told me that the only thing the shop did was check the calibration numbers (an evasive reversal of facts). He said "any remote reprogramming was done by someone offsite". I asked who that was and he would only tell me "someone in their network" and then quickly rushed me off of the phone. The dealer continued to advise that they NEVER adjust the computer under ANY circumstances from factory settings unless it is a brand new computer because it is a challenging calculation process and CANNOT BE DONE remotely. Of principle concern, the master tech at the dealership shared that the cheaper AFTERMARKET PARTS used could be part of the issue. This came as a shock after Andrei pushed so hard for Mopar parts and sent me the exact link and price for them. The dealership also notified me of OLD parts used in the repair. The owner is simply deceitful. Refused to take calls for over a week until I threatened action. I'm certain Andrei will reply w/ how they went "above and beyond" but believe me when I tell you it will be full of half truths and poor handling of a job they were unqualified to do for while charging me for OEM and using discount and used parts, obvious to the dealership. When I asked about this service, not only do they not offer it, I got an attitude by the owner about why they cannot afford to offer. Then take it off your website!! Alignment rack went down and they wanted to keep my car overnight and finish car in the morning. When I mentioned I use this car for work and need to pick it up, again I received attitude from the owner. Was told the car would be dangerous to drive. This simply is not true, car tracks straight and drives fine. Yes alignment is off but certainly not dangerous. Instead of apologizing, and offering some type of concession for the inconvenience, I get an attitude. I will go back to my usual Trackspec Auto for my custom alignments. They are further and a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. They always hit my exact alignment specs and take no more than 3 hours to complete. Decided to go out on a limb to find a good shop closer to home but sadly no luck.

They charged $280 just to diagnose it, and even then, they weren't able to actually fix the problem because they said they couldn't find the part. For a car as basic and common as a Ford Focus, that didn't sit right with me. What was more disappointing was the overall experience. The communication wasn't helpful, and the attitude felt dismissive rather than solution-oriented. If you're going to charge that much for diagnosis, I would expect clearer answers or at least some guidance on next steps. It also felt like their focus has shifted since moving locations. There seemed to be a lot of attention on vintage and specialty vehicles, and less interest in helping someone with a standard daily driver. At this point, I'm getting a second opinion because I don't feel confident in the diagnosis or the value of the service provided.
