I was going out of the country for a couple of weeks to attend a college reunion, I wanted to get acrylic nails because my nails were short and frankly, in terrible shape. I have a predilection to choose a male to do my nails. More often than not, the females always talked among themselves, completely ignoring their customers. That may sound sexist, but that's my personal observation and experience. I was lucky enough to have Kevin assigned to me. Kevin paid great attention to details and was very conscientious. Not only that, he talked to me. And when I told him I was hungry, he went and gave me cookies and water. And the final product of the mani-pedi? Perfection! On my second visit, Kevin wasn't available, so Duy was assigned to me. And Duy was just very patient, meticulous, attentive and conversational. He also did a very good job of removing the old acrylic nails, and applying gel. He noticed that my heels are cracked, and told me about the benefits of callus removal. He did a great job with that, too. Duy also assumed the role of coordinating service when people would walk in. I thought he was the manager. And he spoke in such a nice tone and manner that people responded quite well. This place is very neat and clean, and I like that their equipment at every station are uniform, thus making it look very neat and organized. read more

I was looking on Google for nail salons near my workplace and found this one. Compared to many others, it had a decent rating considering the number of reviews, so I decided to book an appointment online. Since it was my first time, I selected the "no preference" option for the nail technician. From the moment I arrived, I noticed poor communication among the staff. They first sat me with one person and then moved me to someone else. I was attended by a nail tech named Kelly (I'm not sure how it's spelled, but that's how it was pronounced). I explained to her that I'd had bad experiences with acrylic nails before and that I only wanted a simple gel manicure. However, she insisted that because my natural nails were uneven in length, it would be better to do a reconstruction gel. I had never tried it before, so I asked if the final result would look natural,that's really what I wanted and she assured me it would. She also told me the service would be $25 more than the regular gel manicure, for a total of $65.I hesitated, but she kept insisting that it would look great, so I agreed. While applying the product, I told her the nails were looking way too thick, and she responded that she wasn't finished yet. Throughout the whole session, she barely let me make any decisions. I asked for a natural color, and she just picked one without even showing me a palette or giving me options. When she finished, I told her they still looked too thick, and she said that wasn't true that it was just in my head. To top it off, she barely applied cuticle oil and didn't even rub it in. Meanwhile, another nail tech next to me was treating her client with much more care she applied hand cream and was very attentive. I honestly feel like I got the worst nail tech in the place. I'm not denying that the salon was clean and that there may be great professionals there, but Kelly is clearly not one of them. I called at 10:17 am for an appointment/service requested (need to use key words apparently I guess) for an eyebrow, and lip waxing. The person the phone told me to come in at 11:30 and I would be seeing Kelly. Ok, no problem. I get there at 11:25 and they ask if I have an appointment, I tel them yes, I called and made it for 11:30. They ask me again about 3 minutes later what type of appointment I made and I tell them an eyebrow and lip waxing with Kelly. They appear confused as to what I am unsure- but they are looking at what appears like an appointment book, and speaking to each other about something I wasn't able to hear but they seemed very confused. About 15 minutes later another person asked me if I was here for a wax and a manicure or pedicure. I again said no, just a wax. They asked if I made an appointment and I also said yes to this repeated question. Then they told me they are busy at the moment and it will be awhile for a wax. There were 5 people getting their nails done and 3 employees sitting in the pedicure chairs on their phone, for reference. I told them I can reschedule for a different appointment time today if they are busy and it's not an issue. Someone else chimed in and asked what I am here for again. It was at this point, everyone in the salon (employees and clients) were staring at me (probably because this was the 4th or 5th engagement of the same question and answer back and forth. I told them I don't mind rescheduling again, and they asked me why I won't wait. It wasn't about waiting-- I could wait for however long; it was about the repeated engagement of the same questions and answers, and eventually, I became uncomfortable for the unintended attention this issue was causing everyone in the salon. Employees were walking back and forth checking the book, the front desk girl was confirming to 3-5 people at a time and just the overall confusion was interrupting all the other clients. I ended up leaving and not making another appointment for today. I typically go to this location because it's close and I like Tammy, the owner, but this isn't the first time they have had issues with appointments, requested service, and being overall confused about why I am here (I've also seen it happen to other customers/clients) coming in after me or during a service. read more

They are so rude & if you ask for anything more then a basic SHORT set they are going to all look illiterate, they don't want to do work unless it's an easy basic SHORT set, which they are going to over charge for. I needed my nails done and after googling it looks like they're only place around here that does hard gel. So we decided to try it again after 2 years. My nails are decent, but the woman doing my nails was very pushy about getting cat eye. Which I found out was an additional charge when I just wanted regular gel. She didn't even offer me colors to look at. I ended up picking one off the wall behind her. The hard gel is uneven and there is no apex. I ended up fixing them myself when I got home. My boyfriend's pedicure on the other side was TERRIBLE. The woman doing his pedicure took WAY too much nail off the side walls to the point when he said it hurt and it began to bleed a bit. Also his nails are cut far too short. She didn't speak to him or ask him how short to cut. Good to know this place is still disappointing. Update 10/16: I got my nails done yesterday and the gel apparently wasn't fully cured so it started bubbling and peeling. I had to remove the gel polish and repolish my nails at home. I paid $70 for my nails and had to redo them myself. The whole point of getting your nails done is you don't have to do them. read more

I really enjoyed Wonder Nails and Spa. I had Wendy and she was great. Not super busy salon so I was seated right away. I came on a Thursday. *COVID safety guidelines were definitely met. They take your temperature as you walk in and ask you to wash your hands prior to service. They also separate customers. Although I did sit next to a lady at the end but windshields are everywhere blocking in between the nail tech and each customer. It was very thought out! They even have one time use hand towels and they are constantly doing laundry in the back (I even saw them wearing gloves while folding). *very clean and nice inside, wide selection of nail polishes. The regular nail polish is small but they can grab you a diff one than those. *It was pricey for me. I'm not sure if it's because I'm from California and it's a bit cheaper there but a regular mani + pedi combo was $53+ it cost an extra $5 to remove gel polish, which I didn't prefer that price. But will be returning every now and then due to their priority on safety and kindness. My nails came out beautifully too. read more

I lover cute little Tamy, she greets you at the door with "oh hi beautiful" and a warm smile. I come here and usually get both a pedicure and manicure, if i have ever not been fully satisfied I usually let Tammy know but that was only one time. And i have come here SEVERAL times at least every two months. I also request an eye brow wax and upper lip. I am always offered a complimentary water and am asked how everything is going. They asked what I wanted and I responded with manicure with gel polish... they had me sign in on an iPad looking thing and immediately sat me in chair number 6. Once I sat down.. Kelly asked me to wash my hands and return. She asked if I wanted to extend my nails and use Hot Gel. I thought to myself.. It's the holiday season why not. Yes I exclaimed. This stuff is magical. The lady that did my full set was rough with clipping my nails and using the nail file. She actually cut me three separate times by accident. She did apologize and this can happen. Bad experience-came in for a much needed pedicure with my husband and mother. Left with a nail infection. My toe bruised up a day after the pedicure and a few days later started looking infected. I've been coming regularly to the salon for five years. I had Lee for the first time over the last two months. She's absolutely wonderful, great manicures and pedicures. But if you're just coming for a regular manicure, you can't see the person of your choice. Because I guess a natural manicure doesn't rank high enough. You're just tossed to whoever is available. I think that really sucks. Especially when you are basically a weekly appointment. Especially given how much money they made off of me in these last 5 years. I had an appointment 2 wks after the prior mentioned . Or just a regular natural manicure, with the tech that I usually have been saying. When she's not off on medical leave. I was scheduled for a 2 o'clock appointment, then was asked if I can come in at about 1:30 PM. At this point, I wasn't sure at a very short notice that I could make that. We're talking calling me 25 minutes prior to asking me to be there at 1:30 if possible. I said I can't guarantee it. But my appointment was still at 2 PM as far as I was concerned. I then got into the parking lot at 1:35. Had a medical emergency with my husband. Not getting out of my car to explain it in a public setting the salon. I called the desk clerk, and ask her if my girl was there she said yes , I said I just text her what's going on. Please have her read my text. She promised she would young girl receptionist. I walk in and sit at the station there's a bowl of water. I think she read it. Everything was fine. Then she said she was working on somebody else. She couldn't take care of me and I just said this is ridiculous. So one hand doesn't know what the other is doing there for some reason. I said OK I'll give it another try, In a couple days back called to make an appointment for a manicure and a pedicure. They refuse my service saying that I am always late. I have never heard of such disgusting behavior. And I'm sad to say it is very uncomfortable when you're sitting there and you don't even understand because they're communicating in a different language as you're sitting there. It had been getting very uncomfortable, but I am very shocked at this behavior. I think it was time to part ways. I've now found a wonderful salon through my neighbor. Very comfortable, we have normal conversations in English. So everything happens for a reason. But Tammy, the owner digging on the phone with me, and she's the one that told me that I couldn't come to the shop anymore because I am always late.! Again shred water carefully. I guess don't stay with one place way too long, because this is what you get. Oh, and the kick is. I can't tell you how many times, I've had an appointment as a regular preferred customer in their database. Where I had to sit and wait 10 to 15 minutes and they apologize and I would say no problem. I came here and got a luxury pearl french pedicure. The staff are all very nice and the salon is clean. I had Nam. He was very nice. They accommodated my service dog. I was very happy with my service except one of my toenails was filed a little too short so it stung when polish remover was applied. It was unintentional and Nam was so nice so it's okay. I sat for 20 minutes and I had to inquire about when I was going to start. they responded that the others had an appointment before you. They didn't apologize or commit to when they would be ready to do my nails. I will wait 5 more minutes and then I am leaving angry, with horrible customer service and my nails undone. I would sttongly recommend against going to this establishment . I was one of the few people of my race in this establishment and I believe that it is so unfortunate that this affected my service.
