Oh My Heckin Yes! I have been on the hunt fro a new go to Chinese spot, and I'm happy to have finally found it. I weep tears of joy knowing the arduous journey through some subpar places is finally over. I love me some Chinese food, and this is the best place in town. I've never had an Orange chicken that was as bold and flavorful as the chicken I got here. I honestly took one bit and had to stop eating and ask myself how in the flippin heck did they make this sauce. It's as if they juiced an orange and glazed onto perfectly fried chicken cutlets. Along with the order was some "fired" noodles. Not sure if it is a typo on the delivery service or what, but god damn. They are amazing as well, some of the best pan fried noodles in town, the veggies all al dente, and the noodles soft and bouncy, and the gravy it's all fried in is superb. This place is a beacon of hope, I am so excited to have a place like this to fall to in these wild times. Do yourself a f(l)avor and order some delicious food from people who are doing it right. Amazing flavors!!! Will is the most knowledgeable man who offered detailed descriptions when we asked about the dishes. He is gracious and funny and sweet. Server was friendly, website ordering worked well but food itself was sooo marginal. And when ordering Chinese takeout I'm really asking for so little to begin with but this was a real letdown. We all know what good, classic take-out is. It's not this. Fried items were really dry, veggies were mushy (either cooked to death or previously frozen) swimming in jarred garlic. Nothing fresh. They used to have such an interesting menu, full of authentic gems I didn't even know I would fall in love with. Chinese food in this area is practically non existent. The ones that are around, are typically Chinese, nothing to special about them in my opinion. I've ordered from here many different times now, and Wonder Wok is hands down my favorite Chinese food in the Eugene/Springfield area. My favorites are the lemon/orange chicken as well as the Mongolian Beef. The chicken has never been over cooked, and they provide a very generous portion. The sauces they use for the lemon/orange actually have a citrus taste, almost as if it's a real lemon or orange. Less syrupy and thick than other I've had. The Mongolian Beef is full of flavor, and also very large in portions as well. My daughter isn't huge on Chinese, however she loves the Teriyaki Chicken they make. That alone is 2 meals for her! Last time I was in picking up food, Will mentioned they're getting ready to put in a bar! That'll be a great addition for them! Will and his staff are very kind, and they are killing it! read more

We went to Wonder Wok For the second time. The lamb skewers, Peking duck rolls, and Mai po tofu with added pork was so good. The restaurant was busy, but the service was impeccable! On a side note the place was sparkling clean as it was before. Another family member ordered sweet and sour pork which was great with a sauce on the side that was really good. read more

Kung Pao shrimp was breaded and deep fried. WTF? Gross. Mongolian chicken was too hot and too greasy! Vegetable Chow mein had gooey nasty noodles and almost no veggies!!! But the Eggplant was good (but slightly over cooked). Not considering the eggplant it would be only one star but the eggplant brings it up to 2. We have ordered from here before and it was better than this so I don't know, maybe just a bad day... or maybe it's a different cook now? I would definitely prefer to go to Kung Fu Bistro, but it's so difficult to get your food there or you have to call a day in advance or very early in the day you can't just show up in order or just call in order it's crazy over there they think it's still deep in the pandemic they have never reopened their dining room. I ordered the green onion pancake, the Kung Pao shrimp and Sweet & Sour chicken. All the meat and seafood was breaded... HEAVILY. it was kind of really gross. I expected steamed shrimp or pan fried. Nope. Wasn't even an option that I'm aware of. Not on the menu. I couldn't sub brown rice at all either because there was just no option to. (I did not call to confirm so I could be wrong and I'm aware of this). The green onion pancake was so disappointing. There were a few bits of green onions in each slice of pancake. Which was kind of like a crepe but thicker? The sweet and sour chicken was so very bland. The Kung Pao shrimp... Ugh. The veggies were good. Good spice to it and a good amount of peanuts... but the shrimp... I've attached a picture of how much breading was on just 6 shrimp. Which was 1/3 the whole dish. I really wanted to like this place but it's overrated for me. I'm sure it's pleasing to some but I prefer my meats and seafoods steamed or pan fried. And I enjoy green onions so an abundance in the pancakes would have been better. I will likely not order from here again. Customer service was good though. I'd like to give Wonder Wok a better rating, and my experience here was great right up until I tasted my food. They are limiting customers and encouraging people to call in orders, which is nice. I had been wanting to try Wonder Wok since it had opened. Here was my chance! I was hungry so I ordered a chicken dish and a soup. The soup had so much oil on top I actually poured it off the top into my driveway ( I was talking to a friend while eating). It tastes like the oil was off ( maybe old?) so I stopped eating and I tried having the Won Ton soup again the next day ... but it was worse. I ended up throwing out both the soup and the chicken/veggie dish. Even the rice was strange! I hope it was a fluke, but I wasted $28 and am sad :( And I've never thrown out food before from a restaurant. read more

I Was excited to try this place out with its good reviews and the fact they have Peking duck. Since it was just me I thought I order BBQ pork bun dim sum and the lunch Mongolian Beef with fried rice. I was very disappointed as the BBQ pork buns are from frozen and not made in house. I strongly feel a Chinese restaurant that has dim sum should be made in house. I received white rice instead of fried and it was very dry. So I went back to get the fried rice which was not dry but did not have much flavor. I love Mongolian beef and was disappointed as it did not have any wok hei and seemed like it wasn't cooked at a high enough temp. Don't think I will be back. read more

I had the bbq pork lunch combo and added the spicy and sour soup. I started with the soup. It probably had a good flavor, but the spiciness kind a overpowered the rest of the flavor. I usually enjoy spicy food to point however this was not my cup of tea. I ordered the large size and had enough soup left over to try it again later. The pork was tasty, the noodles were good. Nice flavor. The fried was was bland, that could be because my taste buds were still in recovery mode. Portion size was very generous.
