My friend had hot & sour soup that she said was great! We are visiting from Arizona. I wish there was a Chinese restaurant this good when we lived in Eugene. This was our second time ordering from here. The first time was great, so we were expecting the same. We ordered 2 chicken dishes and the chicken tasted off. The cream cheese wontons also tasted like the cream cheese had turned. The egg drop soup was inedible. Our family couldn't finish our meals and in the trash it went. Soooooo delicious! We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Cumin Beef, Walnut Shrimp, Pork Fried Rice and Broccoli for take-out. This is NOT typical bland americanized Chinese food. We've never had Cumin Beef and it had some spice and was our favorite! These dishes exploded with amazing flavors and the meat is good quality (not too fatty). We ordered at peak dinner hour on a Saturday so the restaurant kitchen was busy and the wait was well worth it. We will be back, with friends and family, to dine in. read more

I have been looking for good Chinese food for a while since a couple of my favorite places have closed. This is my new place! The food is fast, fresh and a great value. Last minute find, pretty late in the evening on a Tuesday night. This place is a Chinese restaurant not a wok place, which my husband thought when I read the name of the place. We walked in and was seated immediately. Not a warm welcome. Waters were given right away. We looked at the menu. We noticed that prices were higher than other Chinese restaurants we have been too. We asked the server to split the check. He said no problem. We ordered a side of egg rolls and 3 entrees, the Duck special, Kung Pao Chicken and Orange Chicken. The entrees were basically a portion for 2 people which for the higher price is now understandable. Our server was seated at the other side of the restaurant with 3 other workers, not sure if they were family or the cooks. He did not check back with us. However, the food was amazing. We had left overs to take with us. When he brought the check it was 1 check and not split like we asked. It took us asking again to split it for him to do it. It could have been the language barrier. My friend and I ate at your restaurant last Thursday. We ordered lemon chicken and received breaded processed chicken with a very cold, seemingly canned orange sauce. It was not edible. We have had dinner here numerous times and even brought family and friends visiting from out of state, always good. Fast forward to ordering carryout, inedible hot and sour, no beef in our beef dish. We call and ask them to offer a partial credit for the 2 bad dishes, I was happy to pay for the pork buns and general chicken. He solution was for me to drive the whole order back and get a full refund. Another 30 minutes in the car? I'm already tired and don't want to cook, that's why people get carryout. Ordered delivery tonight and was sorely disappointed in what we received. Some things on the menu are marked as 'spicy,' so we assumed that if something did NOT say 'spicy,' that it wouldn't be. Well... everything that came was spicy - and not just a little bit. We ordered mongolian beef and beef skewers, both of which were overwhelmingly spicy (and I like spicy food). The beef skewers were also terrible quality beef - huge chunks of fat and gristle, not to mention overpoweringly coated in cumin. I got fried rice alongside the Mongolian beef, which was somehow more bland than plain rice. Not sure what even qualified it as fried rice - there was no egg, peas, onions, garlic, etc. in it. It just looked like plain rice that had been sprinkled with a bit of soy sauce. The sesame balls were good and delivery was fast, at least, but for $40+, I feel like we got very poor quality food that I wouldn't recommend. read more

The Kung Pao Chicken was tasty. The egg rolls (which are actually spring rolls) were tasty. The wonton soup is some broth with potstickers thrown in. It is not wontons. The service was terrible, I didn't get a serving spoon with my entree. The atmosphere is awful. The children are the wait people and are not skilled. I would say this is acceptable as a take out restaurant, but an unpleasant eat in experience. read more

All I can say is wow! The food is delicious. I had the chicken chow menu with rice noodles since I eat gluten-free. My husband had the Kung Pao shrimp. The coating was thick but light and airy. The sauce was perfect; a hint of spice and not too sweet. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The food came out fast and hot. Large portions, quality ingredients. Service was very efficient but could have been more personable. My only request is that they create some gluten-free dishes. They are not currently serving alcohol. read more

Good was excellent! So many local Asian style restaurants make their cuisine too salty! This place nailed the flavors of each dish. We had Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken and pot stickers. All was delicious and ready when promised. Very tasty and fresh. Just the right amount of heat to it, as well. We tried Wonder Wok for the first time today, and it won't be the last. Tonight we had potstickers, broccoli with garlic, Kung pao chicken, ma po tofu, fried tofu for the kid and spicy and sour soup. The star of the night were the house made potstickers. They were delicate and delicious. I don't normally eat or order chicken but the dish was a request and it was very bright and fresh; with lots of veggies. I loved the soup and kid loved her fried tofu. I haven't made it to the ma po tofu because I'm stuffed. The only disappointment was the broccoli. While it was tasty, albeit a bit salty, I though I was ordering Chinese broccoli but it was was regular broccolis. Looking forward to trying some of their buns next time. read more

This was actually the second time my husband and I ordered takeout from this restaurant - it was so yummy I couldn't stop talking about it on our way to Portland, so we had to hit it on our way back too. Our first time, we ordered a pork fried noodles lunch special, a small egg flower soup, an order of lamb skewers, a pork feet skewer, and a snow pear juice. The noodles and soup were good but nothing to write home about. The skewers were sooo spicy, but we couldn't stop eating them for long. I ordered the juice not knowing there was a Prop 65 warning on it. It tasted like the juice from a can of pears, just less syrupy. Our return order was another small egg flower soup, and a bunch of skewers: 1 beef, 2 lamb, and 3 pork feet. This time the soup had a lot of tofu in it, which I didn't think was an improvement. My husband said, "If I lived in Eugene, I'd have trouble not coming here all the time." read more

We ordered Wonder Wok from a delivery service based off the great reviews on yelp. I'm not going to go into great detail but I would like to highlight the reasons why I think this is definitely not the best Chinese food in Eugene. Note that I can't speak to their service whatsoever. 1) Their handmade potstickers were open on the ends, barely pinched closed in the middle. It made eating them difficult, after peeling the burnt bottoms off of the parchment paper. 2) While the serving sizes were generous (I understand this is family-style), the three things we ordered ended up totaling nearly $70 in food. 3) In general, there didn't seem to be much flavor to our food. 4) We ordered a beef dish and a chicken dish, when we got them I actually asked "which of these is chicken?". I think it should be much easier to tell between these two meats. Sorry, but not greatly impressed by these offerings. read more

Why is everything sticky? The floor, the menu, the tables. The food was subpar and not at all like what was pictured in the menus, not even similar actually. This is in the same location that LZ Dish was which was renamed to/from Lanzhou several times, both places had subpar food as well. I'm not sure if the current restaurant is another renaming of the same place because the food tasted the same. read more

Paid almost $9 to have food delivered. It showed up with no sauces, no utensils. They decided to fix this issue by delivering me utensils. So 30 minutes later we will be eating a cold meal which from the looks isn't going to taste that great. *update- Would have gotten better tasting food from Panda Express. We went on a Sunday night...and I was not impressed with most of the items we ordered. The Kung Pao and the stirred fried broccoli was wonderful. The chicken fried rice was mushy and the chicken was not stir fried...I'm sure it was chicken meant for a soup because it tasted very boiled, rather than fried. The fried shrimp and egg roll were both over cooked..tasty, but over cooked and greasy. The service was great.
