The place was a bit busy, but it was a Thursday evening so clientele seemed more skewed towards folks on business dinners. Nonetheless, the vibe felt modern, sleek, and the view near the water was very nice. Menu had an eclectic selection of small plates, all of which were delicious. A bit small, but quality was apparent and everything was well-made as well as intentional with presentation and taste. The duck in particular was amazing, would definitely recommend that. We did not have a great experience: Extremely Slow Service- highlights being, I ordered a bloody when we sat down and the glass was still on my table when we left. We waited 20 minutes for our check after we finished before I walked to the hostess and paid. The food: Beignets - dense and round, cinnamon sugar not traditional powdered sugar - more akin to a churro Golden Chia pudding - was very good, the best thing we ordered Steak tartare - it was fine, but pretty bland overall Lobster Popover - small portion of dense, overcooked lobster claw (very little, if any, tail) in a very large popover. You eat 3 bites of bread per bite with lobster Smoked Lamb Shoulder - this took skill, the lamb didn't taste smoked nor like lamb. It was smoked and pulled lamb, it was smoked, chopped, and then pan fried until crispy. Very little seasoning and just a bland dish that had huge chunks of sweet potato that dominated the dish. Bloody Mary - our first bloody was one of the best bloodies we'd ever had, the second one did not taste nearly as good but was still good. read more

Came here because they are Michelin recommended. Well, to me it's a bit over stated. The price is not cheap for sure. The whole meal per person is $90. I got one drink (balance and composure). It pretty Mexican and that is exactly the theme of the drink. I like it. CRISPY LAMB RIBS - the best dish of the day. The lamb is pretty tender inside and crispy outside. But it's only tender inside for the meaty ribs. For ribs that have little meat, then it's more in the crispy side. The sauce is pretty good too. SMOKED MUSHROOM TOAST - it's ok. It tastes like breakfast food. The mushroom flavor is mild. Nothing special. SQUID INK CASARECCE - they have a bit of the lobster and crab meat and tomatoes. The sauce is pretty good. The squid ink pasta itself is thick and al dente. But it has no taste and it doesn't stick with the sauce too much. If they had made it thinner, that would be better. LOCAL HALIBUT - most expensive but worst dish today. The halibut is firm and dry. The scallion pancake is not the Asian version. It has very mild scallion flavor and it's very starchy. It's very dry as well. In general, this dish is horribly designed. It's super dry in general and they should have combined it with some sauce. The dish portion is small and they recommend 2-3 dishes per person. I think 2 dishes are enough for me. Service is pretty good. They cleaned the table pretty well and they cleaned every time when the dishes changed. Value wise, I don't think I'll come back here. The food taste doesn't justify the cost. read more

Only reviewing their bar $1 oyster deal on Sunday & Monday. This is an upscale restaurant so glad we were able to snag bar seats. We were a group of 5 and the deal said a dozen per person by we were allowed to get 72! The staff was friendly & I think they were happy people were finally coming in to actually partake in their happy hour since everyone else at the bar was eating main course meals. We booked a reservation for 11am to try their brunch. The hosts were wonderful, they even check your coats. Our waitress was also very sweet in giving us recommendations. It's right on the pier so you get a nice view of the water. Food came out about 15 minutes after ordering and the plating made it look delicious! I got the short rib hash, it was soooo yummy! The sweet potatoes were my favorite part but everything complimented each other very well! My partner got the farmer's breakfast. Pretty straightforward but their sausages were the star on this one! Fantastic restaurant in Seaport, great selection of food choices and a nice ambience. After reading the food menu and finding many of the items on the menu appealing, I really wanted to check this place out. The waiter advised us the menu was sort of like a choose your own tasting menu and recommended 2-4 plates per person. I do think some of the plates are more main course and some are more appetizer, I'm not sure why they don't split them out that way. Would recommend checking with the staff to see if you've ordered too much or not enough. All the food we had was great, and I really enjoyed the selection of plates. The lamb ribs were a standout on flavor and texture. Really unique, unlike any lamb dish I've ever had before. They were definitely on the fattier side though, so keep that in mind. The steak tartare was good, a nice sized portion. It could have used a bit more crusty bread to go along with it, but the house bread made a fine substitute here. Overall the flavor was a bit weak here too, think honestly even a pinch of salt would have gone a long way here, probably would go with something else next time. The amatriciana was fantastic. Really nice amount of sauce. Touch of spice. Little chunks of crisp yet chewy guanciale. The pasta was a bit overcooked actually, but again not too much to complain about here. Biggest standout was the hanger steak. Really tender, bold in flavor. The mushroom that came with it was incredible. It was actually cross-hatched, which I've never seen before. Really nice accoutrement. Additionally the leek latke was a fun side, really tasty, though a tad salty. I had the 1875 cocktail, and really enjoyed this spirit forward cocktail which was well balanced and a better twist on a manhattan vibe. I thought about ordering another cocktail but when asking the waiter about another, he seemed confused at my request for something spirit forward. He suggested a drink, but then also said it was nothing like my first drink which is what I actually wanted. Skipped the second drink and just went for a beer instead. Overall really enjoyed the meal. Definitely a bit on the pricier side, so keep that in mind that you're ordering a handful of plates and not just 2. Some small adjustments in the kitchen and with the staff I think would really make this place shine. But certainly a place I'd love to come back to and try some other things off the menu. read more

Goodness. I have never felt less welcome in a restaurant in my life. I felt like an inconvenience from the moment I walked in. We were told our table wasn't ready. Then my wife (party of 5) went to the restroom. We were told we couldn't be seated until our entire table arrived. Food was good to very good, but the staff made me feel like I was in the way. It took 15 minutes to see our waitress. She told us that we had to order out entire meal all at once for the convenience of the kitchen. It was OK but I didn't love it. I wasn't a fan of the tahini dressing. They brought out bread which was delicious. My hubby ordered the tagliolini pasta with the seafood and I ordered the ham hock croquettes and crostini. The croquettes were my favorite. I did not care for the crostini because the bread was too thick and not toasted at all. I think it was the same bread as the one they brought with the butter. Our drinks were super tasty and refreshing. My hubby ordered the seasonal drink which was a pumpkin old fashioned and I had the balance and composure. We took a dessert home and it was OK-it was the blueberry cornbread shortcake-it was tasty but heavier than I expected. All in all, we had a fun evening and enjoyed our meal. This is a great place to visit for great vibes, waterfront views, excellent service and farm to table quality food. I came here for brunch with a friend and really enjoyed it. I got the lamb shoulder hash and she got the steak & eggs. I wish there were more significant pieces of lamb in the hash - lamb was really shredded and mixed in with the sweet potato. However the food quality was top notch - you can tell it's farm to table and I ate the whole thing. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and provided great service. A couple of things to note - the portion sizes were smaller and there was no coffee on the brunch menu - maybe they do serve coffee and it's just not on the menu. I was in the mood for a coffee with my brunch so that was a bummer. Based on the quality of the food, I'm sure the dinner here is probably great and this is a place worth revisiting for dinner service. read more

Made a reservation for my sister in laws birthday through Kristin last minute and she was able to help me get a table. My brother and his wife really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere here on beautiful summer night. They even brought out a special dessert for them with a candle in it. Definitely late to the game here, but this place is amazing. Came for brunch recently with my husband on a slow winter day and had a lovely meal. Started with the patisserie basket which was amazing. Each pastry was perfect, no notes. The pastries are served with butter and two amazing fruit spreads, definitely elevated an already incredible item. I had a cocktail and hot coffee, cocktail was bright and refreshing and the hot coffee was fantastic (I feel like a lot of restaurants don't have good coffee and this was not the case here). I had the smashburger for my entree which was very cheesy and had a great sauce. I really appreciate that the sesame bun did not disintegrate and held up well. Fries were very tasty and a very generous portion. Service was excellent, this place feels both high end and cozy at the same time, the service definitely matched. The space is stunning, excellent views of the water and I can't wait to come back in the summer. The one sour spot was the chairs. I feel terrible for bringing it up, but that's how uncomfortable the chairs are. They have a very deep seat and a slanted back, so you end up sitting perched on the edge of the chair. I am on the short side (5'4") but both my husband and I struggled to get comfortable. If you are over 6 feet I feel like you wouldn't notice any issues. Their menu is a small plates approach but many are priced at entree range so this is a very expensive meal overall. They recommended 2-3 dishes per person which was close in our experience. This is a fancy place! The seaport is part of the ambiance. What I love about this place is that everything is an option. Great seafood towers and shareable. Treat it like an upscale tapas and order delectable salads, pasta dishes and great plates of steak, ribs and pork chops. I had the pork chop with bokchoy and it was perfect for one with their mixed green salads with a margarita. The free table bread was like a sugar coated challah bread that was the perfect starter for your carb lovers. It was so delicious. Of course the service is impeccable and the decor is rich! The dishes are expensive - $25-$35 each - yet the portions are tiny. The waiter tries to sell you that the restaurant is doing you a favor by making the portions small - "this way everyone can share...we recommend two plates per person". So they basically cut portions sizes in half, encourage you to spend $70/person to get a full meal, and try to sell it as they're doing you a favor. Really ticked me off. read more

They happily accommodated my request for a Hugo spritz and it was perfect. They have many small plate options and larger entrees, but my boyfriend and I decided to share the broccoli, lamb ribs and stew. Broccoli was great with the garlic aioli on top, but felt it was a little tough and just smothered in sauce to hide the vegetable. Lamb ribs were the star of the show, super crispy with this delicious sauce that I have no idea honestly what was in it! Hanger steak hit the spot, cooked perfectly to medium rare and served with broccoli. Overall it was a very satisfying meal with no complaints about food or the atmosphere. Okay, full disclosure, I used to go to Anthony's Pier 4 back in the day...so I was intrigued to revisit the area. The ICA building, Mass Mutual building...ceiling to floor windows enable you to see not only the beautiful buildings, but also the boats going by... The service was outstanding. The sommelier guided us to delicious wines that pared well with the dishes we ordered. A special was the hand pulled burrata which we ordered along with the green goddess and the kale salad to start. Yummy! Three of us had the cod which was amazing, especially with the evoo mashed potatoes. The fourth in our party had the bucatini which was also a treat. Either the tables are too small for four people eating many shared plates or the service needs to slow down with fewer plates served at a time. They also should separate appetizers and main dishes. The owner, Christina's farm to table, responsible farming, care for the planet and care for how we feed ourselves is vividly shared with the simplicity and elegance that Charlie puts into his menus. This visit was a colab with the American Lamb folks, who up to covid brought us Lamb Jam, and Grigich Hills Estate wines. During Lamb Jam-ish events, restaurants are gifted American Lamb and put to the test. 4 exquisite Grigich wines and pairings, Lamb swag and a memorable meal. Family-style was not my thing, but they made it work. Passed plates included chilled lobster, parsnips with lamb bacon (LAMB LARDONS MMMMMM) and a BEAUTIFUL arugula salad lightly dressed, laying on killer walnut tahini and blue cheese/walnut prosciutto wrapped dates. OH and those cheese puffs. Yea. He hit it hard. Then he surprised us with these dainty and MESSY sticky lamb ribs... OOOOHHHHH YEAH! Family style lamb shoulder that melted in your mouth, pommes Anna exquisitely crispy and creamy (from the potato) cooked in lamb fat was simplistic decadence. SO delicious (you should be sad you weren't there. IT WAS KILLER!) and grilled gem lettuce with labneh. HEAVEN! Grigich's not syrupy and restrainly sweet dessert wine sat besides a beautiful olive oil cake that also wasn't slap-you-in-sugar. Just beautiful. Lamb is currently the Napa Valley landscapping power keeping the soils fertilized and manicured. The symbionic relationship between the shepards and the vinters is an act of art. What isn't is the fact that the USA has not warmed up to lamb because of Mary. I don't think kids like to hear about how grandma slaughtered and roasted the little lamb. A sustainable and healthy protein enjoyed across the planet, US lamb should take its place on our plates. I'm ok BBQ the lamb for Mary. You should too. Woods Hill Table Pier 4 did not disappoint. Had a friend in town at the Seaport for a conference and picked Woods Hill for a dinner out (based on a friend's recommendation). Overall, a very pleasant experience. Menu is small plates (which was not apparent from perusing the menu online) - roughly $25-45 each. Waiter recommended 2-3 plates per person. Food was tasty - citrus-marinated shrimp and potato-crusted halibut were especially good. Portions were pretty small. Good cocktails and wines-by-the glass. Freshly made beignet with rhubarb and chocolate sauces were a nice sweet bite at the end of the meal. Ambience was very nice - comfortable table, water views, pretty sunset. Tables not too close together. One critique - our cold dishes came out together and then we waited... and waited... and waited for the 2 hot dishes. I am pretty sure they forgot about them. So yesterday I was on a Zoom call with my boss and we were strategizing about what restaurant we would go to while at this conference. There were two options. I don't remember the other one because he mentioned "butter poached lobster" and I was like "Uh - say less, King" So came here tn with coworkers and two guys who used to work at our company. We are having the best time. Restaurant's decor is classy AF and our server, Bridget (apologies if not right spelling) is top tier. The whole idea here is that you get small plates to share. We got short ribs, croquettes, heirloom tomato special x2, clams, oysters, gnocchi, spaghetti, AND the legendary butter poached lobster. We also got like 3 bottles of wine, 8 espresso martinis, and a ginger ale. Idk I've been to many restaurants and this one will probably always be one of my faves bc of the food, service, and the people I'm with I would recommend this restaurant to all. From the mixed green salad to the coconut sorbet the food here is delicious. Attentive and friendly wait staff who are knowledgeable about the food. The sunflower risotto was excellent, duck, swordfish, and salmon were so good. That mixed green salad was cold,crisp and the dressing was amazing. Don't skip the salad. Out of the four of us I was torn between the swordfish being best dish or the salmon. Went on Sunday night so it wasn't super busy. Can't wait to go back. read more

I had a really lovely high end dining experience here. I got a strawberry gin drink from the sipsmith pop up bar and absolutely loved it. The bread and butter were a great start to our meal. Then the two of us spilt 4 small plates which ended up being more than enough food. We got the lamb ribs, croquettes, cod, and zucchini. Every dish was so thoughtful and picturesque. The cod was excellent, and the croquettes and lamb were very good as well. Eating this on a beautiful waterfront patio was such a lovely experience. It was raining a bit but they pushed all of the tables under the awning so we could still have our al fresco experience. Overall this restaurant was really great! read more
