BCD Tofu House on Sepulveda never disappoints. Every time my spouse and I come here, the food is consistently authentic and delicious. The servers are always friendly, attentive, and happy to refill the banchan whenever we ask. Their warm smiles and excellent service make every visit even more enjoyable. I always recommend BCD to my family and friends. When my friend visited from the Philippines, I brought them to BCD in Manhattan, New York, and they loved it so much that we ate there two days in a row. We've also taken friends from San Diego to the Wilshire location, and they loved it as well. Even after visiting several BCD locations, the Sepulveda restaurant remains our favorite. It has become a special place for my spouse and me, and we always look forward to coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Korean food and outstanding customer service! I've ordered takeout from BCD countless times but this was my first sit-down experience and it was simply fantastic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At first I was intimidated as a non-Korean (given so many native speaking customers, and Korean language exchange bellowing through the restaurant) as well as the wait, but everything went so smoothly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wait for our group of 6 was about 15 minutes which I was surprised given the size of the establishment, and after we were seated things went so smoothly. The manager (?), tall Korean guy seemed efficient, friendly and cared about all customers. Our waitress lady was so sweet. Talk about comfort food; it definitely hits different when you're eating this hot out the kitchen, fresh. My go-to combo is C2: galbi + soon tofu and it was just SO tasty. With the tasty banchan, prepare to leave full and satisfied. I'm still thinking about it.

It was quite loud, but that's pretty normal for BCD.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was amazing and my waitress was friendly and super helpful. Sunny always checked in and provided extra banchan. I love their banchan and I find their food pretty standard across BCDs. We ordered the galbi and two mild tofu soups. Across of this, we were totally stuffed. The only thing I wished for was updating my soup to medium because the broth was really light. Everything else was delicious! Will definitely come back and support. I used to come to BCD Tofu House all the time, and after not going for a while, I decided to drop in for lunch. I ordered the combo with beef bulgogi and spicy pork. Both were really good, and they definitely give you a good portion size. A big highlight here is that the side dishes are always consistent--I love that they still give you the fried fish with your meal. Service was just okay during this visit. The restaurant was very busy, so I had some trouble flagging down a waiter when I wanted a water refill. Even with the slower service during the lunch rush, the food is as reliable and delicious as I remember. It's still a solid spot for a good, filling meal.

Really solid authentic Korean restaurant. The staff all speak fluent Korean and the boss is always around helping and managing the place. Really convenient big free parking lot too. The food is about $25 per person, love the bulgogi with tofu soup. Don't get the seafood pancake. Not worth the $16, and not very good. Too oily but was crispy. Couldn't see or taste the seafood.

BCD is my comfort food! Of the BCDs in LA, this is the least overstimulating and has the best ambience. The parking is also plentiful. I love all the side dishes, the stone pot rice, and the soup! Everything comes out piping hot and the service is excellent. Workers are very friendly and attentive to filling up any side dishes you want. I personally recommend putting in the raw egg as soon as the soup comes out and then scooping out the egg yolk on to the rice (:

I absolutely love this place. Their food is so delicious. Sunny our server is so kind and nice. She's also very attentive. The Galbi Combo is so worth it. Everything taste fresh and their kimchi is good quality. I highly recommend. I give this place a 10 out of 10 forsure. Oh yea, also their restroom is clean. That's a plus!

1-Bulgogi had no flavor. 2-They give you free fried fish when you order food but I told them no thank you and the lady lectured me that they will throw away if we don't eat. She made me feel bad but we don't like fried fish. 3-When we were ready to leave we paid Apple Pay and the computer had a loading sign for a min so the lady tried canceling the charge. It wouldn't cancel. So I showed her my Apple Pay wallet and my credit card online statement that the payment went through. They made me wait there over 25 mins to make sure payment went through. Unacceptable! I have 2 kids with me. They made me pay again and now I have to dispute one charge. Never has this ever happened to me anywhere. General manager is rude and unprofessional! read more

The server at the pick up desk was super rude. I gave her my name but she kept demanded order confirmation on my phone. There was literally one pick up bag and she refused to hand it off to me despite me giving my specific name and what I ordered. I had to go back to my car and get the phone. I showed her the screen that says my order is likely to be ready and there was the store address. She said that is not enough and that she has to see the list of items I ordered. I never experienced this type of demand at any pick up before in my life and she was adamant. I had to scroll through multiple screens and finally was able to show her what she wanted. This was a very upsetting CS and she wasn't apologetic at all. read more

We like this location more than other ones. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their side dishes taste better & I like there are windows all around, letting the sunlight in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got seafood soon-tofu & 곱창 (intestine) soon-tofu. We asked for the seafood pancake without the green onions and they said they will accommodate the request "this time" as the kitchen wasn't too busy yet. (We went around 4 pm so right before the dinner crowd. We enjoyed everything we ordered & the side dishes. We couldn't finish everything so brought the leftovers home. They even packed the seasoned soy sauce for the seafood pancake for us when we asked for to-go boxes. The staff were friendly & attentive. Next time we crave soon-tofu, we will go back to this location. read more

I had an excellent experience at BCD Tofu House! Even though I arrived just a few minutes before closing, the staff still welcomed me warmly and never made me feel rushed. Everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout my visit. The food was absolutely delicious, and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. Was visiting home from Chicago and had to stop by my favorite BCD location! The food is always so fresh and consistent here and the staff are so attentive and kind (especially Maria!!)! It might not be the closest BCD to me but I always make the longer drive for the quality. I strongly recommend the original beef medium tofu soup and you can't go wrong with the galbi. read more

It's been years since we ate at BCD Tofu House in Torrance. I saw a yelp review and was craving something tasty for lunch. We recognized the restaurant after driving into their parking lot. We were seated quickly but it took a while for anyone to take our order. We ordered the spicy pork and kalbi combos off their lunch menu, which is good until 3 pm. With lunch, we had a choice of their tofu soups. I went with the dumpling soup and my husband ordered the one with beef. It was sizzling when brought to our table. We each also got a hot stone pot of rice. The portions were generous for lunch and we took the rest home for dinner. My husband enjoyed his spicy pork and I liked the kalbi. They were pretty busy on a weekday, but we were served pretty quickly once our orders were taken. I'll be back! read more

Service was pretty good here. Drinks were banchans were replenished regularly without asking. Food came out promptly. Bill and boxes for leftovers came without drama. Sadly, the soon tofu was not as tasty as the other place I frequent. It was very noticeable that it wasn't that flavorful, and mainly just salty and spicy without depth. We also ordered jaechae and seafood pancake. Both were satisfying with no complaints. Kimchi was fine, but some other restaurants have better. I had always thought of BCD as the standard, but I feel like it's just a soulless chain now. read more

I didn't realize there were several locations of BCD Tofu in the LA area. My cousin's neighbor in Torrance recommended BCD. Came here with a few of my cousins over the holiday weeknight. The place was packed. We had about a half hour wait for a table. The wait was definitely worth it. I went with the Kalbi combination. Every dinner comes with a grilled fish and tofu hot pot. Warning, it's a lot of food, with endless banchan (Korean side dishes of marinated veggies, glass noddles and Kim-chi) my fav. I don't care to see the fish eye and tail on the grilled fish, I prefer my fish to be filleted. None the less the grilled fish was delicious. I loved my kalbi, nicely marinated and most of it was very tender. I also had Korean beer to compliment my meal. All my cousins enjoyed their meals as well. Service is fast and attentive. There's plenty of off street parking in the lot. I'll definitely be back for more. read more

I've been coming here for over 8 years and the quality has been so consistent throughout. It's like a little taste of Korea right in the South Bay. The parking lot was super busy but we found a spot in the way back. The restaurant is modern and sleek with dim lighting. There are three giant TVs in the dining room which makes it hard to keep my child's attention. There are no booster seats but we ended up not needing it because the table and booth were a good height for our kid to sit comfortably at the table. For our kiddo we ordered a handroll, a short rib appetizer and grilled corn. There was no corn available, which my kid was specifically excited for (we looked at pictures before arriving) but she seemlessly pivioted to edamame. My spouse and I got a second order of short rib appetizer to share and a set of 5 handrolls each. First they brought out the short rib appetizer, miso soup (comes with the set of handrolls) and edamame. The beef appetizer turned out to be just one meat skewer per order. The menu showed a picture of two skewers on a plate which my spouse found misleading. The short rib was excellent but a bit pricey at $7.50 per skewer. Miso soup was excellent. Edamame was also tasty. All the handrolls were excellent, full of fish and ultra fresh. I really liked the yuzu sauce. My spouse did not care for his garlic ponzu. Although the food was delicious, the service left an unfortunate bad taste. The handrolls came out 2, 1 ,1 ,1 (per person) with about 10-15 min between each delivery. I thought maybe they were pacing the set of 5 but my kid, for whom we ordered an a la carte handroll, got her roll after waiting 30 min from when food first began to arrive. To keep her eating we shared one of our rolls with her. Ultimately we decided we could use a couple more handrolls so we asked to change the a la carte roll to a set of three by adding two more rolls to the order. To our surprise the server told us they couldn't do that, that they can't retroactively change the order. When I asked if they could just remove the single roll from the tab and add a set of 3 she responded, "Technically, yes, but..." Honestly, I don't even remember what came after 'but' because all I heard was 'Technically, yes, but we want to extract as much $ from you as possible so we don't want to...' Anyway, I asked again for what I wanted and she agreed to ask the manager. They made an "exception" for us but HOLY BANANAS how embarrassing for them and awkward for us. After adding two more rolls we were afraid we committed to another 10-15 minute wait, but luckily they came out in under 5. After previously mentioned irritating experience I realized they hadn't yet brought out the 5th role in my set. I asked a server, who asked the sushi chef, who then looked up at me like I had done something wrong? I suddenly felt guilty for asking for the food I ordered. Probably I was just sensitive after the previous awkward experience? Sigh. The food was really tasty, and I couldn't get out of that place fast enough. I'll find handrolls somewhere else where they have tact and won't make me feel guilty for wanting what is fair.

As an avid patron of BCD Tofu House Torrance for many years, it pains me to compose a negative critique of this establishment. However, the decline in the quality of their services over the last couple of years compels me to do so. While I do not intend to judge the quality of their food, I must express that their service has become increasingly unacceptable. Despite having given them the benefit of the doubt on numerous occasions, I have decided that today's experience was the final straw. Upon entering the premises, a Hispanic server glanced over and made eye contact with me, only to ignore me completely for reasons I cannot begin to comprehend. I was disoriented, as she neither greeted me nor informed the other staff of my arrival. It took several minutes for another staff member to notice and guide me to my table. Subsequently, the chopstick that was given to me had a dried piece of food on it. Gross, but I was okay with it. Things happen. I simply requested to replace them with a clean pair. To my astonishment, the same Hispanic lady took my chopsticks and then never returned. I waited until my food arrived to inform the server of the situation and requested a replacement once again. However, she provided me with a disposable wooden chopstick instead of the metal one I was initially given, which was rather peculiar. To add insult to injury, the rice I was served had a dirty piece of cloth and some unidentifiable black dots in it. This was promptly addressed when I brought it to the attention of the staff. I later learned that the table behind me had a similar experience just moments before, and yet, the staff failed to inspect the food before serving it to me. Not to mention that this is a violation of health codes, but why would you not check the next food before serving it? Although a Korean lady, who I presumed to be a supervisor of sorts, began checking on my table and the one behind me after the incident, her gesture was insufficient to change my mind about the deteriorating state of the restaurant. Regrettably, I have concluded that BCD Tofu House has experienced a significant decline in both service and quality control, particularly in their services. As such, I will not be returning to the establishment until further notice. read more

I've never posted a yelp review before, but my auntie took me to this place and she loves it so much she asked me to relay her thoughts here: ----------------- Coming to the BCD Tofu is like going to your sister's home; it's very homely and you feel very welcome to eat there. Servers like Sun, Monica, Park (and some others that we didn't catch the names of) are always friendly and accommodating during every visit. She loves that they refill the side dishes frequently, and the quality of the food is always great. My Uncle likes to order the Yellow Corvina (a fried fish dish) and it's always crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Perfect! They also accidentally gave us a larger bowl of soondubu and didn't charge extra so that was a plus. We told them they could charge extra but they insisted that they wouldn't. I eat here a lot with my husband since it's pretty hearty and moderately priced. In addition, for some reason, everytime I eat tofu, I think I'm eating healthy....whether it really is or not. Anyway, for dinner, we had one combination of mild seafood soup and kalbi. The kalbi meat is was really fat and only included a few peices which were a dissapointment, but the tofu soup really made up for it. I just love oysters in the soup for some reason.....at least if it comes from a boiling stew, I won't get sick right. I ordered the mondu dumpling soup which is consistently good. I really like how the dumpling has just a little bit of meat to keep me satisfied. As for their side dishes, their fried fish is excellent!!! Probably one of the best I've had.....other than that, the kimchi is so-so....but I guess I can't complain since the sides are complimentary. read more

I have always been a big fan of Sundubu. Every time I eat Sundubu I must have Galbi with it because it satisfies my hunger. I really felt eating like a man at BCD Tofu House. Have been to various Bcd tofu in Cali; however, this location my first time. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly with a smile and seated right away. The restaurant was quite busy being a Wednesday night. Could notice they offered free drink by doing check-in with yelp app. I had the pork Sundubu medium spicy with the Galbi combo. All the side dishes were fresh and seasoned perfectly. The pork sundubu was very flavorful and had the right amount of spice. The Galbi was cooked and seasoned to the perfection. This was my second time experiencing poor service, and I'm sad to say that it's a decline from my previous visits. Despite giving them another chance, the service was even worse than before. It's disappointing to see a restaurant I once enjoyed fall short in this area. The staff seemed unfriendly, unresponsive, and disorganized, which made the experience even more frustrating. I hope the management takes customer feedback seriously and makes necessary improvements. Until then, I'll have to reconsider my loyalty to this restaurant. read more

Soondubu craving? BCD all day, every time!! Okay but can we talk about how BCD never misses?? Every time I come here I leave happy and full -- the soondubu is just chef's kiss as always And the service?? SO good. Shoutout to what I think is a new manager -- super friendly and kept checking on us throughout the whole meal to make sure we had everything we needed. Honestly felt so taken care of! These days a lot of restaurants have you ordering on a screen and you barely see any staff... but BCD still brings that real, genuine hospitality every single visit and I am HERE for it Definitely a regular for life. The food was just amazing! You won't stay careless when you try just believe me. It was very tasty for sure. I ordered a couple of tofu soups but beef soon tofu was really good and it was a bit spicy than I expected but it was like that spiciness had its own taste somehow so I liked it for sure. Maybe you'd like to ask why there are only 4 stars so there was a small misunderstanding when I came to grab my take out order. First they gave me the wrong order and so it caused a delay to get the right one. Luckily I wasn't in hurry so it wasn't so critical. Anyway, food was awesome. read more

We haven't been here for a while, and last minute my son wanted to go have their soontofu and galbi combo. I think we were the last customers before closing, but the food and the service was above expectations. Not like other places, their galbi from the combo set was excellent. Plenty and lots of meats on the bones. We also got to see how they clean the floor. They use steaming hot water with little bit of cleaning fluid so it didn't bother us even though we were trying to finish up our meal while they started to clean. We will be back often to enjoy. read more

I recently had the bulgogi at BCD Tofu House, and I was really impressed. The bulgogi was cooked to perfection with a great balance of flavors. The marinated beef was nicely tender, with a nice, smoky flavor. The accompanying vegetables added a nice texture and aroma to the dish. The bulgogi was served with a generous portion of kimchi, which added a nice tang and spice to the meal. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with the quality and flavor of the bulgogi. Whenever I am craving soon tofu soup, I always find myself coming to BCD tofu house in Torrance! The quality and the taste of the food are always good and consistant. The banchan they serve is so great especially the fish! Don't remember the name of the fish though but was good considering it was free. Restaurant itself was very clean and the service is great! My waitress name was Monica and is very friendly and attentive! Would come back to try different dishes instead of my regular seafood soon tofu soup. read more

This was started recently and I'm not so used to trying Korean food but I just thought to give it a try. We ordered their tofu salad and Kimchi pancake for appetizers, tofu salad was bland and hardly had 4 pieces of tofu but kimchi pancake was good! Also tried their tofu bowl which came with rice and few other salads, it was really good! Enjoyed their hot bowl of tofu soup. Vegetarians, ask for a vegan broth as they have beef broth usually. Service was great. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I really enjoyed the tofu soup, served boiling hot in a clay pot that resembles a cast iron pot, the aroma alone as it passed me by is heavenly. The side dishes are plentiful and truly a feast for your eyes. We ordered, BBQ Rib Soon Tofu Combi for only 13$ and other things we were interested in trying (note the power of pictures as that is how we ordered our feast! by pointing on the picture of the dish that looked good!). BCD Tofu House in Torrance is my favorite spot for tofu soup! The food is always delicious and affordable, with so many great options to choose from. I got the dumpling tofu soup and it was so comforting and flavorful. The Korean pancake was also delicious--crispy and perfectly cooked. We had an amazing experience at BCD Tofu House! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was beyond amazing. Sunny was our waiter and she was wonderful--she kept checking in on us to make sure we were satisfied and happy throughout our meal. The rest of the staff was also very attentive, constantly checking if we wanted more side dishes. They even opened the blinds so we could see the sunset. Overall, an excellent dining experience. I absolutely love this spot for tofu soup. The soondubu is amazing--it's so flavorful and always comes out piping hot. The banchan is fantastic, and they even include fish. The staff here is quick and friendly. I came around 3pm on a weekend and didn't have to wait, but I've heard it can get busy during peak hours. Had a great time. Best customer service by a mile from all the BCD's I've been to. All the sides were tasty and the bulgogi was especially delicious (onions cooked in with the meat instead of served raw underneath). Tommy (the manager, I think?) was hilarious and helped out a lot with any accomodations.. Smaller locale but has more of a homely vibe. Great experience. read more

Always great to come back here. Still one of my favorite tofu places in South Bay! The tofu soup always hits the spot and the service here got even better! My favorite server here is Monica!
