Great service from staff that were friendly and fast! Easy to order and minimal wait time. The food was delicious and made to order. Working Girls' Cafe is a small sandwich shop that has a variety of sandwich options both cold and hot. They also have breakfast options. The shop is clean and well kept, and has a variety of drink and chip options. Highly recommend for a great lunch or breakfast stop. Shout out to their employee, Max, for a great service and amazing personality.

Creative lunch place that offers amazing sandwiches. They'll make almost anything for you. Also salads and soups too. I can count on one hand how many good sandwich places are downtown. This is one of them. Matt says check this friendly place out!

Had to grab a quick lunch by the office. Found this small establishment nearby with a roster of sandwich and salads. As a sandwich lover, had to hit it up! Cajun Red Snapper was legitimately delicious! Avocado, tomato salsa with aioli sauce, layered on a bed of greens, and sandwich between a soft roll... awesome. Love the flavors. My colleague has a chicken salad which looked pretty good. I personally prefer sandwiches over a salad but, who knows... might be gravity defying greens in that bowl. Overall, small mom/pop shop that makes good food. Great to pickup and go.

One of my favorite lunch places when I'm at work!! The staff are incredibly nice and the food is so filling and delicious! I have tried a lot of different things but the standouts are the mandarin chicken salad and the California melt with cheddar cheese. It's in a super convenient location and is walking distance from most of the big offices. Only downside is the wait can get sooooo long so you have to order ahead of time!

Nice little sandwich shop in the Financial District where tech bros stroll in and lunch on account with pricing optimized for their janitorial and support staff. Very punctual counter service, great sandwich customization options. Eat em up nearby at Yerba Buena Gardens.

This was so good. If you want a classic good bagel this is definitely a great stop. I got the smoked salmon and switched out the capers for greens. Service was so welcoming and quick. Definitely will be coming back when I want a bagel.

In researching places near where we were staying, we learned about the Italian deli and shop. We were looking forward to stopping by to check out the store and grab lunch. The store itself is very cute and charming, full of so many items - fresh meats and cheeses, imported olive oils, pastas, desserts, wine, and liquor to name a few. There is an area where you can get coffee drinks and there is a deli area for ordering sandwiches, pizzas, specialty dishes, and salads. The variety of options is plentiful. I ordered an iced coffee beverage, which was great. My significant other and I ordered a sandwich to go, which we were splitting for a light lunch back at the hotel. The person helping at the counter was not very friendly or helpful with questions. We asked for our sandwich to be made on the Dutch Crunch bread, as we were looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, when we got back to the hotel, it turned out that the sandwich was made on a regular ciabatta roll, which was not fresh. Additionally, the sandwich was mostly mixed greens. For the price, I expected more meat. With so many great food options in San Francisco, it is likely we won't stop by on future visits to the City.

But when you want a sandwich that only tastes like its ingredients, Irving Subs is the spot. Their Dutch crunch is famous for being fresh and actually crunchy. Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. You're not getting skimped, but you're also not biting into a mouthful of a packet of deli meat. They definitely know what they are doing. Service is good and ambiance is a small humble shop on the corner of 12th Ave.

Ordered 2 sandwiches with nobody in line, waited 40 minutes to get them. Looks like this place is swamped with DoorDash orders and the employees, although friendly, weren't moving fast. Now, let's talk sandwiches. First off, they are very reasonably priced for a large sandwich. They were PACKED with ingredients - very generous on the meat. Sandwich bread was a bit stale and sandwich lacked flavor - I don't think they use enough condiments. Based on today's experience, I would skip and go to the yellow submarine or another local sandwich shop.

Three people working a tight space with three toaster ovens, and everything comes toasted by default. Their DNA is from pizza making, and it shows. The menu has around 40 sandwiches, so I asked the guy behind the counter for his two favorites and started there. The Godfather: Genoa and pepper salami, oven gold turkey, provolone, and garlic spread on Dutch crunch. Great texture, warm from the toaster, and the garlic spread ties it together. A San Francisco classic done right. The San Franpsycho: it normally comes with honey turkey, but they had rotisserie chicken on the spit so I swapped it in. Gouda, bacon, pesto, garlic spread, and remoulade. The pesto comes through right away and the chicken tastes like real rotisserie. Fair warning: it is messy. It drips. Do not eat this in the car. I could not find a clean way to eat it and ended up taking half home to finish. In their defense, I went rogue with the chicken order so that might have messed up the flow. If you're a sandwich person in SF, put this on the list. I'll be back soon.

Fear of Mission Out. The sandwiches are in high demand. The line on a Saturday that went from the intersection, around the fridge section, to the cashier took about 15 minutes and the sandwich took another 15. Both sandwiches were filling and fresh. We got hot ones with toasted bread. The couch potato with crispy pancetta was good, but American cheesier than expected. The preferable lemon pepper chicken sandwich was bright, flavorful, and tangy, with more dimension. I don't know if it's my favorite sandwich, but certainly top five. I give them five stars, however, because everyone was unpretentious and super nice, the sandwich artist is a machine, they have unique items, and they only charge $1.25 for a can of soda. As for the fresh chocolate chip cookies, my wife liked them. I didn't understand the hype. They were fudgey and doughy, so I guess if you like eating cookie dough you'll love them. We bought enough to have one as an appetizer and one for dessert.
