Lunch catered for 15 people and I'm hearing it was splendid! I was able to place an order online on their website. I did have some trouble inputting the payment info on their Squareup website manually and it forced me to use Apple Pay - tricky with a company card - kept telling me it needed a zip code to verify but there was no input box to put in a zip code. One of my favorite lunch places when I'm at work!! The staff are incredibly nice and the food is so filling and delicious! I have tried a lot of different things but the standouts are the mandarin chicken salad and the California melt with cheddar cheese. Solid lunch option in soma. Pre-pandemic i would order their salads, which are giant and fresh. Nowadays my bf loves their sandwiches. I ordered the lemon garlic chicken sandwich and he ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich. The lemon garlic chicken sandwich sounded boring but i loved it! It was tangy from the lemony, garlicky sauce and capers and chicken was flavorful! I usually don't like non-brined chicken cuz it's stringy or not enough flavor. Bread roll looked super big but it was soft so it could squish flatter. Then there was fresh tomatoes, onions, and spring mix. I would order again if I'm hungry and wanted a big lunch. Got up at the crack of dawn to attend the PBWC conference earlier this week and when I arrived, my company's breakfast room had run out of breakfast, doh! Most days if I have breakfast it's usually something quick and light bc that's all I want to spend time for but I do love eating a hot eggy breakfast, maybe more so bc I don't do it too often. I got the breakfast croissant sandwich which was filled with bacon, egg, cheese, and tomato. It hit the spot and tided me over until I had a late lunch at 1pm. The egg was thick and fluffy and the cheese was nicely melty. I might have preferred slightly thinner slices of tomato, but it was nice to have a hit of something fresh added to the sandwich. And when I see a prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich on any menu, it's very unlikely that I am going to choose anything besides that. I've certainly had better prosciutto and mozzarella sandwiches before, but I enjoyed it. This location redeemed that experience! And in hefty, I mean weight. I was surprised at the size. But I guess that's why it was $11. Full of delicious fresh ingredients. And there was a good lettuce to topping ratio. I didn't try the vinaigrette as my stomach just wanted plain food, but the cheese actually provided a nice creaminess. I didn't really need a dressing. I appreciate the amount of dressing they give which some may say is on the heavier side. So if you're dressing conscious, you might want to ask for light or dressing on the side. To my surprise, this cute little cafe was right next door and they had what seemed to be locally baked bagels. My rating is more like a 3.5. I came midmorning for breakfast and it was uncrowded. The girl at the register definitely wasn't feeling it. I placed my order and she asked what kind of bread I wanted my breakfast sandwich on. I wanted a bagel but didn't realize they had various flavors. So I asked what kind they had and she just gestured at the counter on the other side. Not wanting to bother her to tell me what any of the flavors actually were, I just asked for white. My order was ready quickly, and served piping hot, which I appreciated. This isn't a place to sit down and eat (maybe two tables outside) so I walked to Yerba Buena to eat. The bacon, egg, cheese and herb sandwich looked amazing when I opened it. The eggs were cooked perfectly - fluffy and not dry, the cheese was nice a melty. The bagel was a little boring, but I did order a plain bagel. The tomato and herb really gave a nice flavor, and I could have used more because the bacon didn't really add much flavor to the sandwich. I definitely want to try it out for lunch to see what that's like, but all in all it was a good tasty, reasonably priced breakfast for the area. read more
