I've been coming here for years and my company orders food from here every week. Each time, I have to set aside a minute or two to appreciate how deeply delicious my food is. I love their eggplant sandwich, their egg sandwich, their prosciutto sandwich, their California melt, their salmon sandwich, their chicken sandwich... I love me a sandwich, obviously, but I *really* love me a Working Girls' sandwich. Over the years, I've tried their soups, pastries, grain bowls, and specialty drinks. Everything is delicious--you cannot go wrong. To top it off, the people who work here are the best. It's always Faheem, Jerman, and Silvia in the shop, and it's been the three of them for years. This week was my first time grabbing a salad from Working Girls in years (probably since the pandemic), and my actions speak for themselves - I've already gone back three days in a row. I am so impressed by the quality of the ingredients here. As a girly with a very sensitive stomach, highly processed/refined foods cause me to have digestion issues - even salads that claim to be clean... which has been the case for me with several salad shops nearby. I am very happy to report that Working Girls' salads are TRULY clean. I have zero digestion issues after gobbling down my entire salad. So far, I have ordered the chipotle chicken salad, lemon garlic kale & quinoa salad, and cobb salad. My favorite by far is the chipotle chicken salad. The cajun chicken and chipotle dressing make the salad incredibly flavorful and are accompanied by so many fresh veggies. The lemon garlic kale & quinoa salad was a bit too plain for me (albeit I removed feta and olives), but it made me feel really good downing it. I also love how I can pre-order online and pick up my salad in under 15 minutes. On busy work days, Working Girls is a no-brainer option for me. All in all, this place is a solid 4.5 stars. I'm docking half a star off for the price ($19 for a salad including tax), but I get it... it's downtown SF. read more

This is just a review of the delivery order I got from here. My first time trying this place but definitely not my last. I got the spicy cajun chicken bowl and it was amazing, 5/5. The creaminess from the avocado, the kick from the spices, the generous amount of chicken -- all of it came together in an awesome lunch that I can't wait to have again sometime. Miss this place so much, I used to work in the city 2015-2022 before COVID and this was my go-to spot. BEST CROISSANT sandwiches, I can't find anything like them anywhere else. I would bring my daughter to work with me when she was 5-7 and she loved their toasted sourdough, shes 13 now and still talks about it to this day. I am addicted! I've been coming to Working Girls' Cafe for over 5 years now. Every time I come here I tell myself, "try something different", and believe me I try, but eight out of ten times I end up ordering the same thing; the California Cobb Bowl!! I can't help it! The darn thing is a full meal! There is everything in it and they are all delicious! What is in it? Well it's got Chicken Breast, Avocado, Bacon, Gorgonzola Cheese, Hard boiled Egg, Cucumber, Tomato, and Red Onions and it is all served on a bed of Organic Kale and Organic Quinoa,with Balsamic Vinaigrette on the side. Aside from the California Cobb Bowl, the sandwiches here are to die for! Take the California Melt sandwich which I had last time I was there. It is delicious! A thick layer of smoked turkey, surrounded by fresh lettuce, tomato and onion on one side and bacon, melted Swiss cheese, and avocado on the other all between two layers of warm and toasted soft roll. Peppercinis are juicy and sour. Kalamanta olives have pits in them so watch out for that. They even peel their cucumbers! I didn't think I would eat the whole thing by the flavors were tangy, juicy, fresh, and protein rich from the tuna - I just kept nibbling until it was gone. I love this place in the middle of financial district! Everything is reasonably priced, especially their coffee. The owner is super nice so make sure to say hi if you stop by! To my surprise this cafe was actually bigger inside than it looks from the outside...everyone ordering was able to social distance without any problems. The price is typical of what you'd pay in the financial district so I wouldn't say that it's a hidden gem in that department. However!! The food is delicious! I got the Cajun chicken salad bowl with quinoa and it was delicious! Especially the chipotle mayo sauce that came with the salad - that was so yummy! The salad was filling and I didn't get hungry again till 8 hours later. Nutritious + healthy + filling. No downside at all! I also think the service was excellent! Tried here for the first time to see what they are all about. They have a number of options for sandwiches, and the same amount of salad options. Today I went for the cob salad. Double fail for breakfast yesterday! I asked for a cinnamon (I think it was supposed to have raisins too) bagel with plain cream cheese on the side...instead I got a plain bagel with cream cheese on it. I saw the cream cheese on it but waited so long (as I was already running late) so I didn't say anything. I got up to my office and noticed it didn't taste nor look like a cinnamon bagel. I wouldn't have mind them putting on the cream cheese if they didn't put like half a tub on it..omg there was so much that it was a little difficult to smear clumps of it off. Parts of the bagel were also burnt. The bagel was $2.30-ish. And there was no minimum for credit cards so that's always a plus. I also noticed that the cashier didn't look like he used one of those tissues (or washed his hands) when he was handing over a few bagels to one of his employees to prep. I had the best cobb salad bowl in the world here. I'm a fan of cobb salads but have never had it as a bowl before and I think this is a new favorite. The bowl is made with kale, quinoa, chicken, egg, bacon, onions, cherry tomatoes, and avocado. I ordered it for lunch and had to split with a friend it is a huuuggee portion but for $12 it is just the right amount.The owners are very nice, dont be afraid to ask for suggestions or just hang around and talk with them, they are very friendly and helpful. Came around 1:20 pm on a Thursday. There was no line. I was on a mission to lose weight while I was out in SF so I had ordered chicken chipotle salad and small drink for $10.86. Salad had mixed greens, chipotle chicken, cheese, corn, black beans, sliced red bell peppers and chips. It was huge! And it was very tasty. It was so big that I didn't even finish it.
