We got the: -Tider Sliders; cooked medium: there were no onions, the patties were super dry and very well done, and 2 of them had no cheese and the one that did have cheese had this like sad, dried up slice of cheese on it. - Hangover Skillet; over medium eggs: there were no biscuits, the country fried steak was like finely chopped, the potatoes were glued together in one big glob of cheese. Like it was strange. And the eggs came scrambled. -Crab Cakes: came burnt to a black char, and served on this weird, somehow, both mushy and dry rice stuff. Like it wasn't a normal rice it was like a solid mush of rice that was like dried out. -Onion Rings: they didnt have an onion inside them. It was like a ring of onion flavored batter (??) and we didn't understand what was happening with that. -A sweet potato as a side: we were given sweet potato fries and not a sweet potato (there were also sweet potato fries on the menu but we didnt order the fries, we ordered the sweet potato. -French Onion Soup: missing completely - Macaroni Salad: it was orange?? And couldn't tell what it tasted like but it didn't taste good. -garlic bread: it was literally wet. Like wet. The sauce that came with the sweet potato fries was bomb and I am sad to not ever have that sauce again because we DEFINITELY wont ever get food from Flowing Tide Pub ever again.

This spot came highly recommended by a friend, and we are so glad we took that advice. Da Hale…read moreserves up a breakfast menu full of familiar, comforting Hawaiian flavors with generous portions and reasonable prices. Most dishes are easily shareable, which makes it even better. Our table had a little bit of everything -- loco moco, Portuguese sausage, extra Spam, gravy and rice, kimchi fried rice, stuffed French toast, and the Sole Moco. Everything landed well. The kimchi fried rice was a standout for my daughter -- flavorful without being overpowering, just the right balance. The stuffed French toast was tasty and satisfying without being too heavy. My husband loved the Sole Moco, and the portions did not disappoint. But the star of the show for me? The Da Hale pancake. It's a thin, buttery pancake that might sound simple -- but add a little coconut sauce and it becomes something special. Absolutely my favorite thing on the menu. A quick tip: if you're not big on heavy gravy, ask for it on the side when ordering any of the loco mocos. You'll thank yourself later. One thing to keep in mind -- Da Hale is a bar in the evenings, so the ambiance leans more in that direction. It's not quite what you might picture for a breakfast spot, but don't let that stop you. What really keeps us coming back, though, is the service. Both visits, we were helped by the same server -- warm, friendly, and she even remembered us from the first time. It felt less like a restaurant and more like showing up at your aunty's house for breakfast. That kind of hospitality is hard to find and even harder to forget.

The food overall was unique and delicious. Da hale pancakes 8/10: I've never tried these crepe like pancakes before and honestly I prefer these over the original bc it feels lighter since the batter is crepe thinness. The only thing is that I wish it was more crispy on the outside or something bc that would make it a 10/10. The sauce/syrup was so good and that little fluff of whipped cream was a perfect ending. Adobo omelette 6/10: maybe it's because I don't rly know what adobo taste like but I did confirm w the server that it's suppose to be a bit sour/vinagary. The egg itself was nice but the taste of the dish was not for me. But again it's probably because I'm uncultured lol. Kailua pig 9.5/10 this was my favorite dish! Super delish and the meat wasn't dry. I may also be biased bc I just love a good kalua pig! Overall the service was so nice although it can be slow. And the food was pretty good. What a great little mom and pop shop. Support this business!

Our experience yesterday was completely different! Blown away by how great everything was! From the staff to the food- zero complaints. We actually came today after I made a mistake in planning a group social at a different brewery. We pivoted and came to Evolve and of course, it was packed due to the FIFA World Cup. When I said we needed an area for 20+ people, the hostess did not laugh in my face, but smiled and said "I cannot get you in right this second but I just know we will have the space when the game ends if you don't mind waiting until then". She was so sweet and accommodating! I'm sorry I didn't catch her name. So we waited and as we waited, a server (I believe her name was Stephanie) came up and started taking drink orders while we were still standing in the lobby! First of all, talk about great customer service! But secondly, from a business perspective, talk about a great employee. She saw a need and money being lost and took it upon herself to increase your sales! Impressive! Once we were seated our service was turned over to Jordan... 12/10 recommend! Jordan was FANTASTIC! He took excellent care of everyone, remembered names, gave exceptional service and all with a smile on his face. We could not have asked for a better experience. We were so grateful to the whole staff, including management, for the welcoming, hospitable and outstanding service we received. Thank you so much! I'm happy to say that we will definitely be back!

Fire orange like the colors of the Phoenix, then a switch to neon blue hues of color all above me!…read moreHow appealing and seductive the lights are! Flare is an extremely unique experience and lure! The lights continually change making drinking oh so exclusive and fun! On my most recent visit, I lent my ear for someone that so badly needed just someone to listen too. This someone is my bff. I will always have her back, and vice versa. Where better than a bar to distract her. The lights of flare have always been something that distracts her. Wanting to stay away from the strip and closer to home this bar is a fantastic location for both of us. Flare is located in the Silverton Hotel in the middle of the casino. Free covered parking, no cover, minimal people, and not touristy; perfect place for us. We arrive at different times, with my friend still stuck in traffic I just sit with a beer waiting. After she arrives she orders a Crown and Coke. I give the bartender the card and ask him to start a tab. As we sit here the orange and red hues wash over us from above, bathing us in its color. As it switches to bluish green we notice the pink coloring. My bff is smiling now we are getting somewhere. The smile from my bff is perfection and it is so great to see her smile. The tears were checked at the elevator as I watched her approach Flare and her eyes were immediately engulfed in the changing lights from above my head as I sat at the bar. Getting up I hugged my bff and the bartender seemed particularly interested in my friends unsettled mood. The bartender even asked what was bothering her. This bartender was so attentive to our order ensuring that we were not bothered by anyone asking to buy us a drink or if we needed a shoulder to cry on. As we drank the compassionate side of the bartender was fantastic. He even bought us a round of Crown and Coke too. Aside from having a wonderful bartender, whom was alert and always on his toes for keeping our drinks coming and water cups filled. The bar is a great place to try your luck with blackjack. The machines on the counter are level enough with the most comfortable chairs that I have sat in. The chairs at the bar are white bar type stools that are very fancy. This bar has that old world feel to it. Having traveled to many places, my favorite were those small homely places that are so ordinary that you have to stumble upon it to know it's greatness. When I discovered Flare my husband was gambling and I wanted a drink. The color changing of the lights beckoned to me. Answering the call, I discovered my cozy new place. My bff fell in love with the concept they used in designing the bar. As I listen to my bff the lights above keep changing. My eyes are constantly being drawn to those tempting lights. After a while the Crown and Coke got old, plus we wanted to walk out of the bar after drinking; and not be carried. Switching it up we asked our bartender what he would drink after so much Crown and Coke. His suggestion was beer. They offer a special happy hour price for $4.00 a bottle for Miller Lite. That's what we had, everyone likes happy hour prices. With work tomorrow and my bff mood changed we are going to find some food. They do not sell food here so it's off to find something delicious to absorb all the alcohol we partook of. In our merriment the service and atmosphere of Flare was exactly what we needed to reset ourselves. Come and see what the lights of Flare will do to you. The experience was magical and the bartender was fantastic. Thanks to making our troubles wash away and be replaced with hues of new color to enchant our week!
