Creamy Corn Empanada,Caprese Empanada, Spicy Potato & Cheese Empanada, Meat Lovers Breakfast Burrito

We haven't been here for years but it still hit the spot! Can't go wrong starting with this on a Monday.

It's basically a takeout place for empanadas, with only three outdoor tables. The waiting time could be long at rush hours, each empanada costs about $5, and discounted prices if you buy half a dozen or a dozen. I've tried one of their most popular flavors, the Beef Empanada with seasoned ground beef, green olives, potatoes, bell peppers, and spices, and it was quite salty.

One of my favorite places to stop for an affordable bite. I'll be honest, I haven't had a bad flavor yet but a few of my favorites are the creamy corn, chili con carne, pepperoni, and the mushroom. The empanadas are made to order (you can also take and bake!)

It should be called American Hot Pockets. World of Empanadas should get into the comedy business. Nothing about this place resonates with the namsake. Trying to capitalize off "Empanada Culture" while ignoring how the Latin community operates is a disgrace. Salsa comes with Empanadas. It's an unwritten golden rule. You'd know that I'd this company was truly in touch withr the culture. Get a load of the little container I paid $3.50 for! Two or three little servings of sauce lol what a joke. Empanadas that cost almost $6 bucks! If these people knew anything about the true culture of empanadas they know they should be affordable and that salsa ALWAYS come with it free. The locals are too desensitized to corporate greed to realize this is such a farce.

Amazing empanadas quit a selection from meats to vegans I had Beef. Chili con carne and Nutella with bananas . You got to watch the last one you will bit in to a Nutella oozing out of the shell. The Chili con carne had just the right amount of spice. The restaurant is ultra clean and the service was spot on. You can eat outside or pick up to go

Nah fam they might actually be the goat. This place actually makes better pasta than most Italian restaurants. Like it's actually al dente. Wild. The burrito is good too. Where this place shines is the empanadas. The perfect mix of crispy but soft. The stuff is reasonable, the flavors are all there. In the corner of your empanada, they actually press on the initials for what type it is so it's easy to tell later on. You've gotta clean the outdoor seating yourself, like brush off peopes crumbs and the like, but that's cool.

I saw on a Yelp friend review this place and I wanted to try it. The place is small and I only saw the windows to order and pick up. So I ordered on line and when I got there my order was ready. I really recommend them. They have different flavors, they even have some sweet ones. I ordered 3 of mushrooms and two of the Garbanzo ones. I also ordered some pepperoni and some cheese. They were so warm, flaky, tasty, and delicious. The mushrooms flavor had enough stuffing and the crust very soft and flaky. Any flavor you get they are pretty good. I am just sad that I am so far away from them I don't get to taste them often. I highly recommend this place. They had couple of tables at the street to eat buy mainly this place is to pick up.

We ordered a dozen and chose Beef, chicken pot pie, Santa Fe chicken and Chile Con Carne. Loved how it came with the sauces. I'm not a spicy person at all and the Santa Fe chicken was my favorite. Took about 10 minutes and we waited in the tables in front. I didn't realized there was an inside with tables until someone walked in. We came home and everyone practically devoured it. Only 2 left in the box!

    6 pack empanadas

Delish empanadas. I got the 6 pack. Beef, spicy potato, biscuits and gravy, pizza flavors. The best one was the potato one. Orders are made at the window and they take a few minutes to prepare fresh. The seating is on the sidewalk so it's great for a quick snack or to just take home.

Cute location, friendly service, good price, good empanadas! I was driving around for a quick bite because I had 15 minutes to burn, and this came up in my Apple Maps search. There was some street parking in the front, and not too crowded. You order at the window, and the menus are directly above the order window. I asked the worker about the most popular empanadas, and he said the beef and the spinach/cheese. I went with beef and a breakfast empanada. I love how they engrave the name of the restaurant into the empanada crust (photo attached). They are cooked to order, and take about 5-8 minutes. For the beef empanada, I feel like it was pretty good! I just wish it had more flavor. It felt like something was missing. Slightly bland. I really liked the breakfast empanada. The salsa really set both off them off :) Make sure to get a side of salsa! I feel like I'd come back to try other empanadas!

Had a solo brunch here while in the neighborhood. The cashier was nice and helpful but I knew what empanadas II wanted immediately after reviewing the menu. All 4 were very good, not heavy, light flaky crust. The photo and cheese was the most spicy and dense, chili con carne has great flavor, the pot pie most surprisingly good and my favorite was the santa fe. There are 3 sauces available in hot, medium and mild, I enjoyed each, mixing and matching flavors. Order and pick up at the window. There are tables and chairs in front and back with a kiosk to place your order on screen.

Averaging more than $3 for one empanada. It's an outrageous price for an empanada, and they aren't big either.

The vegan plate had black beans, white rice, plantains, and a side salad. The bandeja paisa had beans, a fried egg, chicharron, steak, rice, plantain, and chorizo. The meat was perfectly grilled but the chicharron was a little tough but still good. The vegan plate had much flavor -- the beans were tasty and the rice fresh. They were very generous with the plantains. The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were so fresh and delicious. The spinach empanada was a little tough - it was crispy but there was less spinach than I would have expected and the cheese in it wasn't really melted either. Overall the food was very fresh and delicious. Parking can be tricky bc their lot fits only 3 cars. We parked a couple blocks in the neighborhood. Front of the store parking also seems limited. Service was kind and efficient. Food came out in less than 5-10 minutes. Place is well decorated and has nice seemingly traditional decor inside.

The last time I went was on October 3rd and September 12th of last year, so it had been almost a year since my last visit. The very first time was last summer with about 10 members from my Korean community group. We all thought the food was really delicious, and that's why I kept coming back. As you would expect from such a popular restaurant, there are always a lot of people here. Yesterday was no exception, and there was a pretty long line outside. Fortunately, the line moved fairly quickly, so it didn't feel too bad. After we decided what to order, I was reminded again that the prices here are quite expensive for a restaurant located inside a food court. Last year, I ordered for all four of us at once, and the total came to almost $200. So this time, we decided to pay separately for my mom and myself, while my two brothers each paid for their own meals. I ordered two of my absolute favorite dishes here, the Tostada de Kanpachi & Uni. This is something I really love because it tastes so fresh and delicious every time I have it. It's definitely a must-order dish for me. I also ordered two Taco de Pescado al Carbón. Those four items alone came to about $70. I also remembered that I had tipped way too much here last year, so this time I only left a $5 tip. (It is the food court system, even they bring the foods to our table) That brought my total to $75. My brothers ordered the large Brazilian fish, the Tostada Uni, and ceviche. Everything we had was delicious overall, but honestly, the tacos I ordered yesterday were not really for my taste at all. So next time I come here, I don't think I'll order the same tacos again. On the way to the restroom, I noticed people at another table eating lobster. I asked them where they ordered it from, and they told me they ordered it from Holbox. It looked absolutely delicious, so I'm definitely going to try the lobster next time I come here. I also really like that they have a water station near the section where people line up outside. There are cups available there, so you can help yourself to water while waiting, which is very convenient. One downside is that the restroom always has a noticeable smell. Fortunately, it's located quite far away from the dining area, but it also doesn't look particularly clean or sanitary. Another thing is that you have to eat certain dishes, especially the tostadas and tacos, with your hands. I personally don't really like eating food with my hands, but with tostadas and tacos, there's really no other way. After washing my hands in the restroom, the smell of the liquid soap is also quite unpleasant and strong. Unfortunately, I can still smell the soap on my hands while I'm eating, which bothers me quite a bit. And because Holbox is always so incredibly popular, finding a table can be difficult. Luckily, we were able to get a table pretty quickly yesterday. Overall, I still really enjoy coming here for the fresh and delicious seafood, especially the Tostada de Kanpachi & Uni. Even though there are a few things I don't love about the experience, the food itself is definitely why I keep coming back.
