The crew that did our other patio at our last home was the same crew that did this one. We have now had 2 concrete patios by Worldwide Concrete (we were so happy with the last one). What can I say I have no experience or knowledge of concrete, so rather than trying to accomplish the task of putting it in myself I contacted the professionals. After consulting with several of my neighbors I discovered that one name came up in all of the conversations when it came to Concrete and his name was Gary. Gary is the owner of Worldwide Concrete, so I gave him a call. Within three days he was at my site and gave me an estimate that was very competitive with other estimates that I have been given. His personality and keen attention to detail quickly made me sign the papers on the spot to have him in his crew do the job. He explained to me that due to Covid they were backed up on jobs because of lack of supplies and increased demand within the area for concrete work. He told me that I would be on his schedule within three weeks. Two weeks and six days later I got a phone call letting me know that my slab would be prepped on Thursday and poured on Friday and that it should be ready to be used by Monday morning. Seven in the morning or what seemed like 2 o'clock in the morning to me on Thursday morning the crew showed up to frame out the slab and to explain how things were going to go on the next day. What a professional group of guys, they did their work swiftly and quietly and at times I couldn't even tell they were out there doing their job. Friday morning we're all around and sure enuff just like Thursday they showed up early in the morning and started the concrete job. Not being a straightforward slab pour, the concrete had to be wheel borrowed in from the front yard to under the deck in the backyard in order to complete the work. Within a few hours I picked out the window and I could see the slab was almost complete. After completion on Monday morning, the slab was able to be walked on and added functionality to my backyard. I would highly recommend Gary and his team to do any concrete work. I'll plan to use him in the future to do a driveway or two. read more

Avoid! Completely unreliable, dishonest, and poor workmanship! They clearly do not care about their customers or safety of worksite. BBB complaint: Apr 22, met with rep from WWC to discuss work in the front & back of the property. Work included concrete driveway with walkway, front entrance & step, back deck, pool patio, & fire pit. Signed contract on May 8, with completion date of 6-12 weeks. Deposit of $11,920 paid. Asked for an update from WWC on 26 Aug, 9 Sept, & 20 Sept but were told they were still waiting on permits. Work finally began on 5 Oct. Additional $5,000 paid to start demo. Mario's crew arrived without plan & had to be directed by homeowner. Crew caused extensive damage to in-ground vinyl pool (coping & walls) during demo. Gary, Mario, & crew on site 11 Oct to discuss damages, claimed it was not their responsibility. We asked for repair estimate from a new company, totaling ~$12,000 & requested WWC pay for damages due to their negligence. 13 Oct, driveway inspection failed due to no permits or site plans on site. No rep from WWC was available. 22 Oct, permits were finally posted on site. 25 Oct, new inspection started unexpectedly. Homeowner was asked to text inspector because site was not ready for inspection. 26 Oct, Summer (owner) claims they have photos of "significant damage" to pool from before demo. Photos were found to be from 11 Oct, when manager and crew returned, showing they (Mario) tried to create false evidence against customer. 31 Oct repairs start on pool with new pool company. Dog is also taken to vet ER for injury caused by dangerous items left on site. Attempted negotiations with company but we were unable to reach resolution, largely due to a lack of response from WWC. $16,920 total paid to WWC. Work unfinished, no driveway or safe entrance to home. After 2+ months we are still walking across rebar and through a muddy yard that was destroyed by their equipment. read more

Do not do business with Worldwide Concrete of Pasadena Maryland. They poured a cement driveway for me a few mos ago. Their workers obviously left a leaf under the top coat which worked its way loose and left an impression (see pics). Now the owners (Gary Whittington) say nothing can be done after my emails and phone calls were IGNORED since 7/5. This issue clearly falls under the "workmanship" portion of the contract since they obviously ran the float and brush over a leaf. $13k and they won't fix their mistake. read more

I wish I could give more stars because this company deserves it! I had a new walkway installed at the front and back of my house and Worldwide Concrete did an outstanding job. Before I hired Worldwide I tried to get several other quotes and many of the other companies did not show up on time or didn't even return my calls for a quote. I knew I was dealing with a great company when the owner from Worldwide Concrete not only showed up ONTIME but he also gave me a fair quote to match the work being done. Unlike the other companies that made me feel as if the quote was based on the neighborhood I lived in, instead of quoting me for the job being performed. The crew was outstanding and I could not have asked for a better experience. They also went above and beyond in cleaning up and making sure I was satisfied with the work. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone needing concrete or any type of block work completed. In addition, this company is military friendly and the most important thing about Worldwide Concrete is they deliver on what they promise! If you want the job done right and for a fair price, do not call the big box companies, instead contact Worldwide Concrete and help support a local owned business. They were supposed to give me an estimate on 5/12 between the hours of 10-12. About 11:45 I called the office to ask if they planned to come, was told someone would call me back, they never did. I left and did my errands, called the office when I was finished. Basically they get this rating because of NO SHOW and what I think of as poor customer service. I am willing to update if there is anything else to report. UPDATE: 5/19 - Gave them a second shot, were supposed to be here between 10-11....it is now noon. NO SHOW, NO CALL. This is definitely not a company I want to do business with. If I could give them no stars.....I would. I hired Worldwide Concrete to upgrade a loose soil & mulch area into a stamped concrete patio. I met Gary on site and in a couple of days I received a free estimate. I found him and his office to be responsive & knowledgeable. Whenever I had a question or concern they'd respond quickly. They did everything as they laid out in the schedule. I was very happy with that. They do need a good bit of a lead time before they can start a project though. The project itself went very well. The crew was impressively competent & very good at what they do & Gary visited the work site frequently. My project included a walkway around a small pond & 2 patios with many curves & corners & obstacles & they skillfully framed & handled all of those. The result is an amazing 2 level patio & a walk-path that look beautiful & feel very natural for the environment. It is very relaxing to be there. Had no problem getting an estimate that was reasonable. However, from that point on the communication was terrible. I called several times to see when they work was going to start, always sat on hold forever. They finally gave me a date, but no one showed up. They arrived the next day unannounced. The crew was completely unaware of what was to be done or color for the stamped concrete sidewalks. The fist day they laid it out. The next day they poured the back and front sidewalks and imbedded the coloring and stamping. 3rd day they applied the sealant. So far so good. Now the problems start. The back sidewalks look really good and I'm pleased with them. However, the front sidewalks (the ones everyone from the main road sees) have excessive cracking the color began fade within 5 days. Again, the back walk has none of these problems. I called to tell them about the problem and was told the color never fades and cracking was to be expected. However, she said she would have someone out that day or the next to take a look and that someone would call me with a plan. NO ONE came and NO ONE called. Three weeks later a crew shows up at my house unannounced, I had previous hospital appointments and would not have agreed to this time. They striped the sealant off and not sure what else they did, Now I have a horrible looking sidewalk with more visible cracks then before and white speckled debris all over the new siding that was installed 2 weeks ago. I've called and left messages for the owner and/or the sales representative, neither have called me back. I would to resolved this issue but communication with the company is the worse I've ever had to deal with. At this point I can not recommend them to anyone. read more

Unfortunately I didn't experience the work because the sales person was a NO SHOW for our appointment. My husband and I were scheduled March 3rd between 10 and 11, no one called or showed up. I called the company at 1130am, spoke to Stephanie who took my name and number, said no one was in but she would pass along the message....no call as of 2pm today. In summer 2017 had several companies come look at replacing and expanding our driveway, walkway and steps to the front door, including removing overgrown bushes next to the driveway. Many companies stated that they would not replace the concrete steps and concrete by the front door as the support was brick and they felt that in removing the concrete the masonry and bricks would be damaged. Worldwide came in a timely manner and provided an acceptable price for the extensive work. The job was estimated to take about 3 days and was finished on Monday, September 25. The steps and walkway were poured in one group without a seem between and a crack appeared on 9/29 (Friday) running all the way across where the bottom step joined the walkway as well as jaggedly up the riser/vertical part of the step. I called on Monday, October 2 and was told that someone would come by to look at it and contact me. I called on October 9 as no one had contacted me and was told someone would come on October 10. An employee came by and said that he would talk to the owner about the best way to address this (cut and make an expansion or to replace the walkway slab). I continued to call several time through the next month and at that point was told to wait through the winter and see if the crack got larger. I had not heard anything through spring (and due to various family health issues was unable to follow up until summer break in July). I have been told that someone would come out to fix but that has yet to happen. I understand that concrete does wear over time but the immediate cracking is ridiculous and should have been remedied quickly. Having spent almost $20000 this is unacceptable. (If the situation is remedied satisfactorily I will consider revising my review.) read more
