I recently had basement water issues and did very detailed research to try and find the best company. I ended up using Triad Basement 301-532-7903. I got a near perfect job. Mike- the owner is very honest and thorough and lets you know exactly what you need done. He met with me on two separate occasions as I had more questions that I needed answered. He is very accommodating and sent out guys who truly worked hard. Santiago- was fabulous and treated it like it was his own job, also Wilpredo, Nuam, Marcelino, Andress, Matthew and Justin. We're all amazing.

New pipe from window well to sump pump

We love Justin and are so impressed with the work he did on our home! The underground drainage pipe from a gutter was clogged, causing water to back up and flow into the basement window well, causing a steady flood into our basement every time we got significant rain. We actually didn't even get estimates from anyone else after he came to look at out problem - the price seemed totally reasonable, Justin was super nice and took the time to fully explain what was going on, and they were able to schedule relatively quickly during August, when lots of people were needing their services. Turned out the pipe from the window well into the sump pump system was also clogged; Triad replaced this pipe, as well as two underground drainage pipes from gutters, and the exit pipe from the sump pump system. After seeing how much work he did (by himself in the middle of August!) I almost think they undercharged us. He got it fixed for us right before Tropical Storm Ida swept through the area, and our basement remained dry (and has ever since). The work also looks great. Would absolutely use them again.

Newly installed sump and sump pump by Triad
    Rob M.

My newly acquired 10 year old house had a leaky basement. I hired Triad to install a sump pump which required jack hammering a hole in the basement floor, creating a drainage channel, installing a sump basin, and installing an electric pump. They completed the work 1.5 days, were prompt, always courteous, and left my house perfectly clean and restored to its previous condition. Prior to finding Triad I had met with two other vendors who clearly didn't know what they were doing. In one case the guy didn't show-up twice for the appointment to give me an estimate. Mike D is a real pro, and if you want it done right I suggest using Triad.

I had a sump pump replaced along with moving gutters away from my home. I can't recommend this company enough for basement waterproofing.

I would mop it up and it wouldn't cause any large problems. We decided it was time to have this fixed since it seemed to be getting worse. I got three estimates and theirs was the best for the job. The team removed the shower stall to put in a drain along one whole wall of my house. Thankfully the rest of the wall is in an unfinished portion of the basement so it didn't affect any of the finished portion other than the shower in the bathroom. They came on time and worked quickly. They were done before the estimated time and left the basement clean. For the past 15 days we have had rain every single day. Sometimes heavy, sometimes light but I have been watching the basement and there isn't any moisture coming in at all. They definitely did a great job. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to my friends.

They promised they would not break through asbestos tiles, but instead carefully lift them. They blasted right through the asbestos tiles requiring us to talk to a remediation company and do a safety clean up (though they insisted that wasn't necessary when we complained and accused us of trying to bleed them for unnecessary expenses -- we had not even asked them for a dime, and they were the ones who broke an explicit promise to us). They left open gaps in the cement after covering the french drain that we had to have addressed after they left (after confirming with this company that they would not accuse us of voiding the warranty if we did) and totally destroyed the efficacy of our radon mitigation sytem, which they said nothing to us about when inspecting the site to provide their workplan and estimate before the install. They claimed not to see it, but the radon system has bright red labels all over it and was in plain sight for both the inspection and while the guys were doing the work. Ray Charles would have seen it. So, we've had to pay more to address that. Insult to injury, our security system picked up one of their guys looking through our stuff in the basement, and when we complained about that, the owner made implicit threats about how we would ruin a relationship in which we may need them to come make repairs to our system in the future if we told anyone about it. As others have mentioned, he also offered us $100 to not post bad reviews. We didn't take the money, but others might, so careful on relying on reviews for this company. Spare yourselves. Go with someone else.

Phenomenal! Value…read moreDry was a referral from another small local company whom I implicitly trust. Markus, their VP, came out to give us a proposal and quote. We then got proposals from two other local companies. Though Value Dry was not the lowest quote, we felt by far the most comfortable using them. And we are very glad we did. Our entire basement, which is entirely below grade, has (had!) water seepage due to hydrostatic pressure (water is forced into the house from underground), especially this last year with all of the rain we've had. And we have a huge basement. Markus proposed a new french drain around the entire interior perimeter of our basement, all of the exterior walls: 210 linear feet in total (we have a big basement). He explained in-depth what they proposed to do and why and how. They also added a second sump pump for us. And a battery back-up pump. They sent a crew of just three guys. Roger was the foreman, and you just have to love that guy. Great personality and he calmly and politely answered every question I had (I'm a detail freak). They were fantastic. They kept everything as clean as possible (not completely, but you can only do so much for concrete dust from jackhammers). Their work was very detail-oriented. It was cool seeing the destruction followed by the construction, laying down the new PVC underground drainage pipes, the new concrete on top of it, etc. Roger and I had discussions throughout the week about how best to do several things, like where and how to place the clean-outs (we have two) for the pipes. Bottom line: Look no further. They are honest. Not too expensive. And they deliver exactly what they say they will. Also, just a few weeks after completing our basement they did a smaller job for my in-laws, also local. They were just as happy with their work and with both Markus and Roger and his crew as we were. So this is really two 5 star reviews in one!

Byron arrived to provide a quote for each of the projects. I was pleased with the pricing but what set me most at ease was his thoughtful and comprehensive approach to making the repairs. I had connected with two other contractors and neither took such a detailed and long-term approach to the issues I had. Theirs were more "patchwork" fixes which would have cost as much or more than the BMA Construction quote. A few short weeks following the initial quote, the team arrived to begin work. They arrived on time every day, worked diligently, kept me apprised of any questions or issues that presented themselves during the job. Three days later, the job was complete and all work areas had been cleaned. I found Byron to be professional and very responsive to text or calls on the few occasions that I needed to contact him. I'm pleased with the results both from an aesthetic and financial viewpoint.

I asked him if he could replace a corner brick for my ground patio, and touch up grouting around the bricks. I know nothing of concrete and bricks, that's why I needed someone. He said he was going to come Monday 09/23. He got the work done, and I tipped him roughly 13% on top of the estimate he game me. Two days later the one corner brick he replaced was good, but 3 nearby bricks cracked in half. That one stretch of grouting I wanted touched up was fixed, but new cracks formed as a result of the work completed. I messaged him 09/25 saying roughly more damage has been done than his work was supposed to fix. He asked if he could come Saturday 09/28. I said sure. He never came just asked me what the weather was. So I took a screenshot of the weather for the next 10 days and sent to him 09/30 in the evening, then asked him on 10/03 when he would like to come. The representative sold me a bill of goods that has not fixed the problem that I allowed him into my home to discuss and you resolve. I have no knowledge about foundation work and this person outright misled me. After coming into my home and starting the work, the company admitted they could not do what the representative said they could do and what the contract I signed said they would do. They did not seal my crawl space, they did not reinforce a sag in my flooring structure, they placed a sump pump drain line outside the area that I requested, they left food and clothing items in my crawl space after they were done. They bullied me. The work is sloppy. And then I allowed them to come in again to sweet talk a workaround that wasn't done correctly either. Now, I will also admit that I am a Veteran and a Nurse and that my pride may cost me and prevent me from obtaining an attorney. Although after writing this, I still may.
