Visited WOW Donuts on a trip out to Madison to hang out with boyfriend's sister. We wanted something sweet and local to Madison since we don't make it out here that often, but since it was Sunday, a lot of options were unavailable. Thankfully, WOW Donuts was open till 1 PM, so we excitedly opted for that. Located in a small shopping center, the inside of the shop is decorated super cute. There's a small seating area and you can order at the counter your choice of donuts or a couple of other pastries, as well as kolaches. Service was polite and helpful. It was about a dollar a donut, which is about on par with other places around here. We got two chocolate glazed and one KitKat donut. Boyfriend and sister both enjoyed their chocolate glazed. Sister remarked that the body of the donut actually tasted like a nice, fluffy, sweet bread, rather than just straight sugar. I agree with her assessment. I opted for the KitKat donut and found the chocolate frosting/glaze to be pleasant, not too saccharine, and nicely proportioned. The KitKat added a great and fun crunch to the donut, and it was big enough such that you could get a nibble of KitKat in almost every bite. I'm not a huge donut fan or frequent connoisseur, but these won me over! They had a small but reasonable selection around noon on Sunday. I'd be interested to come back and try something else if I had the time and found myself in the area. I also know they do really beautiful, unique donut boxes for birthdays, Valentine's Day, etc. Their frosting/glazing/icing work is quite beautiful! read more

Should be a 10+ rating! The name of the shop says it all! Very nice, clean and friendly service. We hardly ever eat donuts but I brought home 2 cinnamon rolls that were out of this world good! Rolls were light, fluffy and tasty! Unbeknownst to me, the shopkeeper even threw in 3 separate mini donut balls! That's how you build a business. Definitely one of the best donuts in the Huntsville area! They're light and and have just the right amount of sweetness. The shop carries a variety of flavors, including the basics: glazed, chocolate sprinkled, etc. along with specialty donuts: Kit Kat, Andes mint, and more! They have so many interesting flavors, but I have to say the glazed twist donut is still my favorite. The service here is great and the store is immaculate. As a former dessert chef I can tell you these donuts are INCREDIBLE. Don't listen to the people who complain about them going stale really fast. Fresh made sweet bread without preservatives is meant to be enjoyed right away so if something stales fast, that should be an indicator that it is really made fresh. The croissants are the best I've had in a long time. They're light and airy with that perfect crisp crunch on the outside. The cinnamon rolls are also a favorite as they were the perfect balance of bread, cinnamon filling, and icing, and they weren't overly sweet. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the plain glazed donut holes as I normally don't go for plain glazed. There's a hint of vanilla which just makes them superb. Every single donut I tried was excellent. The lady at the counter was so nice and helpful and I will definitely be supporting this small business again. read more

Went late in the day on a Sunday so it was slim pickings! Good for them! Thought the interior was clean and cute. Tried the Twix, plain, peanut topped, sprinkle, and Apple fritter. The fritter was probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. The perfect amount of crunch and softness with the best icing. Will definitely be back when in town next! read more

Donuts were good but definitely not WOW. I had an apple fritter and there was not one piece of apple and no spice so basically a reshaped glazed donut, what a disappointment. When I brought it up to the gentleman at the counter all he said was "so you don't like it?" Place is decorated cute. Will not be going back. read more

Wow Donuts without the wow. First time and tried several donuts, a ham, egg and cheese sandwich and coffee. Apple Fritter with not one Apple chunk to be found. I didn't realize I had never reviewed this shop so figured it was time I did. We love WOW and come here almost every Sunday. The best and freshest donuts, you can't go wrong and I'd come here over Dunkin a few blocks down every time. I don't like glazed donuts but I'll get them from here every time. Their filling always tests fresh rather than canned and my kids love all their frosting donuts, sprinkles and fun candy or cereal topped. The local area is very saturated with donut shops, So if I were you I'd make it my business to shop around and find which one is your favorite. If you like big donuts little donuts the local area has it for you. Absolutely love the kolaches here! addictive for sure! You can tell they are made fresh. If you want to eat it immediately, they will warm it for you or you can take them home and less than one minute in the microwave makes it warm and keeps the bread soft. So yummy! Stopped last Saturday around 9:30am and were sold out. I was sad but realizing that they just opened I was willing to try again another day. Stopped on Monday morning around 6:30am and they were fully stocked!! I got a jumbo jalapeno kolochi and a chocolate pistachio donut which were both delicious! It looks like they have solved a previous issue of not meeting the demand.I went the basic route and bought some sausage and cheese kolaches and glazed donuts. Great donut selection and fast service. I got a dozen glazed and a dozen variety to take to my office. Everybody loved them. I had the pistachio from the variety and it was a good donut. I also got two of the blueberry cake donuts for a coworker who doesn't eat the glazed type - he was happy with them. This is a very nice local donut shop.
