We ordered a "Hot Stuffs" pizza to-go, and when we arrived to pick up, the staff member apologized for the delay and told us that they would refund our order because of the wait. We told them that it was okay, but they insisted on refunding us because the long wait time was not to their standard! Went in today for a slice. There were lots of people in there enjoying lunch. I got my slice to go and they included the wowee zowee sauce- it was good! The pizza was good, too. Food quality has declined since our previous experience. First, my wife wanted the pepperoni and sausage pizza without the pepperoni. We were told they were premade therefore we can't have sausage only pizza. I ordered the hot stuff pizza which they said was sold out and was ordered at 6-00!. I think the owner painted all the walls and tables himself. Plenty of parking. The staff are super nice. You can buy some of the pizzas by the slice. The crust is light and crispy on the outside but slightly chewy on the inside. Also has a very subtle sourdough twang to it. The crust is awesome but the toppings are where they really shine. We tried the Ridgemont Cheese. Great solid plain cheese pizza. My favorites were a toss up between the Casa que pasa (vegetarian) or the Hot Stuffs. They have a vegan version of the casa que pasa for those who can't handle cheese. The korean sweet potato base sounds weird but it's really work. I was afraid it would be too sweet but it wasn't sweet at all. The baked veggies were perfect. Asparagus, broccoli, and heirloom tomatoes. In all pizza seriousness, I was wearing a Prince Street Pizza hoodie into Trader Joe's and shoutout to the awesome girl at checkout, she knew a fellow pizza lover and told me about this place. I am a carnivore but today is a veggie day for me and we got half Fairhaven 4 cheese and the Funghii sadly sans sausage. The straciatella cheese was droolicious and the undercarriage and flavor of the sourdough crust was 10/10. I am coming back for some meat pizzas soon like next week on pizza night. The best NY style pizza in CA I have tried so far. I had the fungi pizza which I thought was nice that they used shiitake mushroom on a pizza and it was so tasty!! The ranch sauces they provide are good. Also the service is good and the ambiance is really cool. However, when we got the pizzas, it was so dry it felt like we were eating cardboard. It was painful to eat. Our gums hurt after eating it. It felt as if there were no layers in the pizza. The cheese and sauce were so dry that they did not exist. All we could taste were the burnt crust with the toppings. And the toppings could not save those pizzas. We didn't even want to finish our slices, but we didn't want to waste food. We went to another pizza place after to forget about this experience. I would rather have any "fast-food" pizza place than what we experienced here. It would take a lot for me to try this place again. Maybe we should of ordered a fresh pizza, instead of getting pre-made slices reheated.
