I've had this pizza a few times in the past couple of months. At first- it was amazing! Fresh and great quality, however I have noticed the quality has shifted. The pizza gets ordered online and you get a 30-50 minute wait to pick up depending on the day. The phone number doesn't work. This time we waited 45 minutes and when I ordered the Watkins st pizza it processed as the Cathy Supreme. we got the pizza and to make it a bit more annoying- it wasn't fresh. This place is fantastic! Stopped by today to grab a pie after hearing good things online, and I've gotta say it absolutely delivered on the hype. As others have mentioned, they are in the process of a soft opening so be mindful things may take a little more time as the work out their process (we had absolutely no issues at all FWIW). Staff were all SO friendly, everyone said hello and was so welcoming. The interior of the restaurant has seating, a pac-man arcade, and even a drum set in the back for performances. Definitely gave off late 90's/early 2000's vibes. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad, and both were outstanding. Everything on the pie tasted so well seasoned and the crust had tons of flavor. The salad was great, and the home made croutons had tons of flavor. Their ranch was excellent too, so be sure to grab some. I think this is the best pizza in OC for me, and I plan to come back any time I'm craving pizza because this was everything I could ask for. Went here in a whim and super glad that we did. What a vibe. I checked out their website before coming in to prep for an order and it's retro and fun. And when you get there, it's the exact same. The staff here is super welcoming and the place is slinging pizza, and there is even this tiny corner for kids to play with toys like a doctors office. And then there is like a small retro Pac-Man game. Anywho I typically go to Folks in Costa Mesa or Sgt Pepperoni and I have to say I absolutely adore this place. They are currently doing a soft opening so make sure you just bide your time because the wait may take a while (45-60 min) per pie. The pizza itself though is f*cking EPIC!! ONE OF THE BEST PIZZAS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. And I say that with all caps just so you know the seriousness of it lol, The sourdough pizza crust was perfectly crisp and cooked to the exact temperature needed for a nice fold. I work literally across the street from this place and have been hearing great things so I figured I would give it a try. From previous reviews it seems that it usually takes a long time for the pizza to be made. So I ordered my pizza at around 2 pm and had scheduled for the pick up for 7 pm. I got there on Time and still had to wait a little over 30 mins for my order. The pizza itself was delicious! I legit think this might be one if not the best pizza spot in the OC. Highly recommend checking out Wowee Zowee Pizza! They just opened in the Tustin Grocery Outlet plaza and are still in their soft opening (2 weeks in), but we were already really impressed. We ordered a half Tom's Peach House pizza and half Wilkin Street Combo. The crust is thin and crispy, the toppings are fresh, and the flavors balance really well. The peach pizza stood out--sweet, savory, and so good. The homemade ranch sauce was amazing. The staff is super friendly. The vibe is cool and relaxed. So glad Wowee Zowee Pizza opened in Tustin! Their slices are massive (a quarter of their 18" pies) and perfect for trying different flavors. We ordered online Sunday around 11am and it was ready right at noon. I got the Vegan Veg and it was amazing, a little spice, with a Korean sweet potato base, roasted broccoli, heirloom tomato, asparagus, and red onion. Super flavorful and unique. New York style pizza? Thin crusts? A subtle Asian fusion? Wowee Zowee! A hidden gem in Tustin tucked away in a small plaza that my friend and I were very glad to uncover. We walked in and met the owner, who helped guide us through the menu. We went with the half and half option, going with Avalon Records and the Arsonist's Daughter. We started off with a slice of the Arsonist's Daughter, which was made up of Vodka sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, shishito peppers, jalapenos, and red onion. For those who have a low spice tolerance, this is still a great option as there is only a very subtle kick (owner even said it himself and was proven accurate). The blend of the crunchy thin crust with the toppings definitely hit my taste buds positively. The only downside was the pizza was quite oily. We had some napkins on hand to soak quite a bit of the oil. Avalon Records was a unique pizza and one that I would highly recommend trying out. I have never had a pizza with a Korean sweet potato base, which gave it a creamy flavor that reminded me of clam chowder. Add in the mozzarella, ezzo sausage, red onion, fennel, mushroom, and parmasean and I was in heaven. If they snuck in some seafood on there, I think it would enhance the flavor even more. For those who want a little less grease, this one would be a better option. Overall service was excellent. The staff are friendly. They even let us know that the water bottles were on the house and to grab some before we left. I'm coming back for more of the Korean sweet potato base pizza options. read more

Wowee Zowee is probably the best pizza I've tried on the west coast and arguably can take on east coast New York spots. Not only does the restaurant have one of the kindest services and unique layouts, the pies are just spectacular. I've never tried such chewy, crunchy, and soft crust here on the west coast. The fermentation process makes a huge difference in each pie. The toppings on the white sauce are my personal favorites. Each bite comes with a "basac basac" texture but it's smoothed out with the cheese and other soft and delicious toppings. BAD: my half and half pizza was more like 70/30, with only two pieces being only pepperoni. We got picky eaters, so that was a bit annoying. It's literally top half of a circle guys. Minuscule, but the name on the pizza was wrong. Who is Susanna????? Kind of annoying. UGLY: I ordered at 2pm online. I got there at 6:57pm. My pizza was not ready. I asked the staff. Their answer? "We are just putting it in". No, you weren't. You guys lied. I didn't get my pizza until almost 7:30. That's insane. I already paid online and you guys still fumbled. Either give people a small discount or a throw a slice or something because throwing away half an hour because of your MISTAKE and then LYING is actually really frustrating. This is probably the best pizza in OC right now. I used to go to Terra Mia and the Brewery X pizza truck, but Wowee Zowee definitely surpasses all the OC pizza places. Crust is actually really good, i usually dont eat the crust but I couldn't stop here. I also loved how big the pizzas were. Only complaint is that I wish they were open for the whole week! The pizza slice was quarter of an 18 inch for $8. I think that is a decent deal. The Caesar salad was a standard salad which isn't terrible. I did appreciate they put freshly grated Parmesan cheese on the salad. That simple little detail makes a difference in the salad! So thank you! I think if they added some lemon to the dressing it would elevate it a little more as well. The pepperoni pizza was a solid pizza. The dough is a fermented dough, so it had good texture and chew to it. The sauce was a little on the bland side. Pizza as a whole was good but not great. Sooo good. The only thing im sad about is missing the timing because two customers before us ordered mega slices and all the slices were sold out. So definitely order whatever you can. I love the interior decoration of the shop, its unique, full of character and warmth. You can see the small team work really well together during rushes and genuine passion for the pizza by the owners. I feel like each member of the staff is an expert in their role and knowing about the pizza vs just workers. This place really defines what a small business and quality food looks like, I hope they are able to continue and sustain higher demand without disrupting this special vibe. Lowkey selfishly hope they don't go viral because i dont know if I can fight that demand lol. I highly recommend preordering pies when available and checking their Instagram to see updates. The pies are well worth it and if you go in person, its may take 1-1.5 hrs. They come up with a lot of unique rotating flavors. We were only able to cop one slice of casa que pasa, which unlike suspecting to the name was neither mexican flavored or had that overly sweet mayo sweet potato flavor like korean pizza. Instead, it tasted like broccoli cheddar soup, but the cheese stuck nicely to the crust, there was good flavor, the sweet potato wasnt heavy and very background, you could taste the roast of the broccoli. The crust was perfectly fired, not burnt. It is on the harder side, and I would define the pizza as a thin(topping side), medium crust chewier side. The slice is generous enough to be shared with two people and they are generous with the ranch which comes with both a robust garlic one and a thousand island/chipotle? One ( that pinkish sauce). You really don't need seasoning except for the crust. The pizza is so flavorful and well made by itself, just get two slices instead of the combo haha. The one I really wanted to try was hot stuff so im manifesting its availability for next time. Maybe even buying a pie now that I've seen the hype. The problem is so many flavors sound good from the mushroom one to the tomatoe pesto pie. They even have a pickle one, hot dog inspired one, and a seasonal goat cheese pear one. read more

Wowee indeed. My husband and I moved from NYC two years ago and have been searching for authentic NY pizza to no avail. UNTIL TODAY. Wowee zowee is truly the epitome of NYC style pizza with flavorful ingredients a dough that doesn't get soggy and the best style of pepperoni. The portions are generous with 1 slice being nearly 1/4 of a pie and it has an overall retro feel with old arcade games and twinkle lights. Service is excellent with limited seating, 2 small 2-person tables and 2 larger bench style / large party tables. The families of the chefs were there and hanging out with their young kids and I love the authentic family feel, all around good vibes. Very unique pizza spot. The decor was eclectic. I'm glad I tried it. They allow you to get half and half options for their carry out pizza options. What I appreciated the most was that I was quoted 12-15 minute wait. When I came back after 15 minutes, they said that my pizza broke in their oven so they remade it. We asked if we could have no meat and could half two halves so we could try two of their pizzas...no problem! They just opened so everything is not all set-like no water dispenser-so they gave us bottled water for free. The pizza was so good! The tomato sauce tasted super fresh and the vodka sauce had a nice bite to it. You know the pizza is really good when you're full but still want to eat...that was our experience. Decided to try this place after looking for a place to eat while in Tustin. I was intrigued by the pizza offerings, particularly the use of sourdough in their pizza and Korean sweet potato base. All the workers were really nice and took the time to explain the menu to me. The interior of the place was also well decorated and had stuff for little kids to do. I ended up doing a whole pizza offerings half hot stuffs and half Avalon records. They also have a house made complimentary ranch. Pizza came out freshly made. Came across this place on social media and decided to invite my friends and their kids to try out Wowee Zowee. The place had great vibes, and the staff was super friendly. I thought it was going to be a packed house because I noticed a lot of people walking in before me but it turns out they were all picking up (great idea by the way).
